    I think the resolution options you have provided are insightful and practical in their application! Your examples are also very informative.

      Hiding my comment in here. The thing that happened to me was some woman crashed into me then blamed me for it like a right idiot. It decended into an argument and although i let her shout in my face without shouting back, i ended up feeling jittery and kind of shakey coz i wanted to murder her. She then used her family name to intimidate me rhen got her uncle to intimidate me so i ended up appologising and offering to pay for damage rather than get my door kicked in and stabbed. The only mistake i can see that i made was calling her a name at the very begining. I could have stood my ground but i was getting anxiety about people coming to my door coz i live here with only my daughter. Dont have any good weapons and a flimsy lock on the door. Anyway thats what brought me here

    do not forget to say that conflict starts smaller but grow bigger than one can imagine. so conflict become an opportunity for new constructive resolutions when it treated well as soon as possible. however, it becomes a real fight when concerned parties neglect it and keep silence like nothing is happening. pls, handle your conflict before it handles you.

    Excellent video. One suggestion is this mainly about conflict management styles not resolution techniques....I still really like it however!

    Compromise is not a right one but collaboration....how collaboration with erring party may take place when it may interpret compromise wrongly as defeat by other. ..

    Imo identifying what exactly about their actions or behavior is offending you, clearly state the offending problem or issue, try to discuss rationally and offer a solution to the problem without backing off your stance

      Also dragging insults about weight and appearance is a no go in trying to address conflict it needs to be clear and direct

    the funny part is how the title says, conflict resolution techniques and the video talks about the complete different thing... you're talking about conflict management styles.... like what ???????????????

    • @LydiaRichards
      @LydiaRichards  7 днів тому +1

      I see your point. I believe these could either be called styles or techniques. Maybe styles is better.

    The misspelling of Thomas Kilmann's name makes me question the reliability of the video.

    • @LydiaRichards

      Yes you are right. I cannot correct the error now, or it would go back to zero watches and never show up on an algorithm again. I am profoundly dyslexic, so I hope people can gain value from the content, even if there are errors.
