I eventually took my shower screen out...it really does not impact the quality of the shot, and if you don't have it, it is easier to clean the chamber. I think the new ones don't come with a shower screen. Are you using a low flow or high flow basket. Mine 58 was from the original batch and came with a high flow basket which I hated. Switched to a low flow basket, and all was good. If you are having trouble with your shots, possible problems could be: the beans, the grinder, not grinding fine enough, and poor distribution of the grounds.

Yes, I’m getting great results! When you pull down the lever, the machine flexes a bit and the flow is off center.
