The truth in how it started was that I eventually learn the art from the Gracies. I then travel back in time and taught Helio. I told him to teach others and to say he created it. His honor would not allow him to tell what he thought was a lie.
I assured him it would not be a lie, that I learned from his predecessors who learned from him. That had he not invented it then I would not have been able to learn it so that I may teach it to him.

Whats the story about Chuck norris being in Brazil getting involved with gracie jujitsu? wasnt he introduced to the gracies over in brazil and norris ended up loving gracie jujitsu,(getting choked out) so he invited the gracies along with the Machado's to america to do a seminar. The old video of the seminar is on u-tube. I believe norris talks about this at this seminar. Was this before, during or after the gracie garage challenge matches? With chuck Norris fame and popularity in the martial arts world/movie world, i am sure Chuck had some major part of spreading the word about gracie jujitsu?

Well. If we remember the bill Wallace interview. (You can still find in on UA-cam) It was that rigged cage fighting pay per view events that you guys started. Where bill Wallace was like “yeah, it was totally rigged who the gracies fought”. Then if my memory serves me. When I first noticed BJJ. Was when the first brown belt opened a school in my town in like 1992-95. I was friends with the owner of the one martial arts supply store we had. He started selling me these judo uniforms that you could tell he had stitched back together. Badly. I’m like what the hell?!?!! He says “they keep demanding I take back the uniforms after they destroy them?! And give them new ones!! They beat me up when I tried to say “no more!”. I’m like who the hell is doing this??? He says those Gracie jujitsu students down the street!!” This went on for several months. He was this little fragile tai chi instructor trying to make a living selling martial arts gear. Then one night I come to buy more gear and his arm is in a sling and he has a black eye. He’s telling me he’s gonna close the store because he can’t take it any more. So I offered to work the counter to address the problem. Put up a sign “all merchandise is sold as is. No returns or refunds”. And I start to see these very Burley actual Brazilians speaking Portuguese coming into the store carrying totally destroyed single weave judo Gi’s. The bastards were too cheap to buy double weave! I’m working the counter. The little frail owner is hiding in the back of his store. What happened next was like a bad 1970’s Kung fu movie but with a better ending. They throw the Gi’s at me. Asking who I am. Saying they want new ones. Like bad guys in freaking movie. I pointed to the sign. And announced the new policy. Then they start challenging me to a fight. Yelling get out here old man!! Make this jerk give us new uniforms! Now! Yelling at me! We’ll kick your ass!! Funny part was that I knew that they were scum just like the rest of you. Heard stories about local Kung fu, tang soo do and kenpo instructors getting seriously hurt after losing to one of your stupid challenge matches. People getting elbows and shoulders just dislocated after they already tapped and lost. Apparently to prove a point. Like you guys were bullies back then and many of your people still are today. As tiny amount of videos creep out of you guys hurting your own practitioners over who gets to teach where disputes like Triad gangs fighting over drug territory. I knew Kung fu movies were shit back then. I wasn’t gonna “win” if I managed to bounce one of your people’s heads on the concrete. My instructor had gone to jail for 8 yrs man slaughter doing something like that in a bar. I wasn’t gonna start a stupid feud like a bad movie. I had it wired. I had a plan. I knew my friend was going out of business after you jerk wads just terrified the living crap out him. So I just stood there as the BJJ assholes yelled and screamed. When the main dude went towards me. Counter between us. I pulled my gun. Showed my badge. Said “my report will close your school. If you take one more step and I drop your Portuguese speaking ass like the dirt bag that you are. You had no reason to beat up that old man”. At first it was hands up. Then I told them to leave the store and never come back. They destroyed the glass display case full of martial arts patches and stuff and left in a huff. I bought the old man’s store and inventory. Paid him a very good price. He came to my house many nights for dinner after that. Reopened the store as a police supply store. With martial arts supplies on the other side. I choose who entered. Who I sold to. And I never sold anything to anyone teaching BJJ. For over a dozen years. Black belt and Kung fu magazine never wanted to buy my story. As they started putting you assholes on the cover. Since 95-99% of schools now have at least one BJJ asshole teaching at. I no longer sell martial arts gear. Side note. Over all these years. I’ve fought a few of you assholes at tournaments. Usually get disqualified for bouncing you on your heads or slamming you while in guard. I’ve actually watched you guys change the tournament rules each and every year. Me and my judo students thinking of something not listed. Next year youre saying it’s cheating and not allowed. I grew up in Brazil for a few years. My father thought it was a cool place. Watched one of your countrymen rape my mother one night. I was only 13. I tried to stop him. I still have the scar from the knife. Fuck you. Fuck your country. Fuck your art. Always was shit. Always will be shit. My your Empire one day crumble into dust.
