BACK HOME IN AMERICA ALREADY? (Lisbon or San Francisco)

- Are we back home in America already?! Sure looks like San Francisco. We felt like it in today's video! We start our day by catching a train at the Lisbon Rossio station out to Sintra! Once we arrive we explore the beautifully colorful Pena Palace and Moorish Castle. Both are stunning. Afterwards we had to visit Pastéis de Belém for some of the original Pastels de Belem before leaving Lisbon! We see the bakers make these delicious treats right in front of our eyes! Best ones we've had in Portugal so far!

You can't leave Portugal until you visit La Quinta da Regaleira (Regaleira farm). There is nowhere more magical in Europe!
Woody Young - Just "Quinta da Regaleira". No pronoun. In portuguese the pronoun, when should be "A". "La" it's spanish....

Quinta da Regaleira is definitely a must see, even though the palace inside is disappointing because it's not furnished. But the gardens... oh god!
The architecture is pretty dramatic and unique, I don't think I've seen anything quite like it.

We call them Portuguese tarts here in Australia (😂) and you can get them at pretty much any bakery and they are delish. I can only imagine what the real deal tastes like...looks incredible. Portugal is more beautiful than I coud've ever imagined. Safe travels x
Nice video. The Jeronimos Monastery and the Tower of Belem at the time of its construction in the early 1500s, the Tagus river and beach were at the gates of the Monastery of Belem and the Tower of Belem was in the middle of the River.
The Portuguese navigators prayed in the Monastery before leaving for another trip across the ocean.

Omg yes to those pasteis de Belem!! I’m always craving those! So from Sintra we took a bus ride to Cabo da Roca close to sunset and it was the cherry on top of a great day. It was sooooo stunning (the theme there in Portugal!) peaceful and magical. Again these videos just make my hubs want to move there. 😂 If I lived near the Time Out Market I’d be happy. 👍🏼💕👋🏻

I'm portuguese and Sintra is one of my favourite places in the world. It has a lot to offer (besides Pena Palace), including nice pastries! Anyway, Sintra is actually a lot cooler than Lisbon, so when it's scorching in Sintra, you know the rest of the country is on fire. You were unlucky because you came when we are being struck by this huge heat wave :(

The Palace was beautiful! A shame you could only see a little bit of it. I'm always sad to be leaving the current location because you make being there so wonderful, but I'm equally excited to find out what and where the new adventure will be. By the way, you both look so happy and healthy. Maybe you have found the ticket to "forever young". I do check Instagram and there are some fabulous pics there!!

as hard as it must be to be away from home , you are doing a magnificent job of showing us the beauty that is out there in the world....we always see all the big main attractions in these cities , but you are showing us the places that no one knows about unless they are actually in that area....keep up the good work.....I hope your journey takes you to my country , Canada , and all the beautiful places here ( the Rockies in Alberta , and all the way out east to Prince Edward Island , Nova Scotia and Newfoundland ).....there are so many beautiful Provinces in Canada with special and unique things to see in all of them

Just skip Pearson Airport! Better yet, skip Ontario. A beautiful place but not a good place to enter or leave Canada! It’s a total air traveler’s nightmare.

The coolest thing is the way up to the palace, where you see sightseeing spots, the haunted house from the 9th gate, the Italian chalet etc etc
There's so much stuff, specially free masons where there. So there's alot of hidden messages, not available for the average Joe, just for the sharp eye/mind
3 places you need to go.
1. Convento de Mafra and the forest - much after of Sintra
2. Ericeira - between mafra and sintra
3. Marvão (in the border with spain). And these place in for a weekend.

I don't know who started it, but there is currently a competition launched by the tourists themselves to identify the best pastel de nata in Portugal. It is a tradition for those who visit Lisbon and Portugal. I found it quite peculiar😁

As always, the photography is breath taking! I enjoy these travel so much. I "live" thru your travels. I do travel some and and starting to again. I am unable to do "heat" well so that limits the time of year I travel and the places I can go. Keep up the great "JOB?"
