This video is amazing and SUPER helpful! But, where did the Japanese vegan blog posts go? T_T you mention them so often throughout the video and I would love to take a deep dive. Either way I will be taking screenshots and writing myself lots of notes while I rewatch this video. Thanks again for this useful resource!
Hello, thank you for the video, it is very helpful! I would like to check out the mentioned blog post but the link is not working unfortunately. Is the post still available somewhere?
I'm currently in Korea and being vegan here is not as difficult as I thought it would be.. Japan is next on my list so this info is very helpful, thanks! Dropped you a sub, nice channel! 🌱🤘
So happy this will be helpful to you!! It's not that difficult being here it's just knowing where to look and what to say :) Hope you have a nice trip here and thanks for the support!
I’m so glad I will know exactly what to say if I randomly end up in Japan one day... haha I have no plans on going but I do love learning other languages so this was a cool video
Thank you for watching anyway! I'm obsessed with language learning too I'm glad you enjoyed it! I had no intentions of ever coming to Japan, but I'm so glad I did and I highly recommend it :)
@@hinokan_ i will! my best advice is to download google translate app and download the english to japanese keyboards so you can communicate easily with that!
@@TheSimpleEnvironmentalist Thank you!! I think at first based in the Kanto region (probably Tokyo) then hopefully some of the other regions! Okinawa looks beautiful!
Right!!! I thought it would be impossible here on our tiny island too but it's really only hard to find things like vegan burgers and pizza but if you focus on whole-food, you can go vegan almost anywhere for sure!!!
@@TheSimpleEnvironmentalist and that’s the healthier way of doing it anyway. Giiiiirl when you get to the states it’s going to be a whole new thing with all of the new vegan processed foods that are coming out every other week!
Ahh I hope to go to Korea one day!!! Omg I had my OWN mouth watering cause we can't travel here anymore and I miss street food!!!! Thank you so much for watching :)
@@CocoShin there's not really street food in Okinawa and the one place we CAN get it is a "red zone" so we can't go there. All the best street food is on the mainland of Japan!
Great advice! More of this is so needed in Japan as there is growing, but still lacking, options and understanding of the benefits of eating vegan :) I've started a #SSLWorkshop series which often includes vegan cooking lessons here in Japan so people can pick up skills and better understand it from their own experience.
Would you like to see more Japanese content on my channel? if so, what do you want to see?

Hi! Thank you for the video!
The blog post is not working, did you remove it?
unfortunately, I have switched websites since posting this and have not reposted the blog post to my new site yet but stay tuned!

I am going to Japan soon and clicked the blog link, but got an error. Is it still available?
ugh I migrated websites a year ago so it may not work any more :( my advice is to download Google translate, download Japanese and that works great!
Can you show us around town?
like a video around Okinawa?
THANK YOU!!!!!
of course!!
I used to live in Yokosuka and will be back in December. But now I’m Vegan and this video was really helpful.
aww yay! Also use HappyCow!
@@TheSimpleEnvironmentalist thank you I absolutely will. Keep doing these videos because you are really helping us out.

I thought vegan people in Macedonia were totally crazy until I went vegan myself. If it can be done in the Balkans, it can be done anywhere.
