Jax was Bin's best champ, first picked it every game to 3-0 WBG, T1 first banned jax in 3 games and they picked and lost with it in game 3 and they left it open to be first picked on game 5 of the worlds finals. If that doesn't tell you how confident Zeus is with his counter pick gragas into it, I don't know what will. He was ahead the whole game, toying with jax on the side lanes, got chased by 4, lands a massive combo to Elk, 3 man body slam setting up everyone before dying, pretty much a flawless game 5 performance. He never celebrated as happily ever since losing 2022 worlds finals. The transformation into 2023 worlds to 2024 worlds is fucking insane. ZEUS is the best top laner in the world man.
I think the best indicator that Zeus was confident in his abilities was during game 4, the continous ambushes and dives onto him were giving BLG kills, but it didn't give them anything else. Zeus was still on top in terms of xp and gold, the grubs were free for T1 then his follow up of basically letting himself die after the baron kill. He lost the battle but always made sure his team won the war. Do not mistake this for saying Bin was small fry, remember how many times he and Knight were practically playing around T1 in game 1 and 3 even in game 5 they were always close to bringing T1 down. In terms of pure mechanic play, I still think he's better than Zeus but at the same time in worlds Zeus is a whole different beast.
Gargas is hard counter of Jax from laning to team fight. Srsly Jax has no counter play when Gargas picked phase rush. I played in SQ and goes 0-3 still able to bully Jax in lane😂Not to mentioned Zeus's gargas is super clean.
Both top laners did their job this game. Zeus won lane and stifled Jax's sidelane threat. Bin survived lane, finished the critical pick on Guma and TP'd to flank the survivors. But the crucial overchase by Knight (flash, miss charm, walk into flash-taunt range) undid BLG's good work in that fight.

The streamer in the bottom right corner appearing from 14:01, and from 15:54 again, is Wolf and he speaks Korean. As a Korean I'm pretty sure his reaction is mistranslated here. Can we make enough damage? That's my T1 - "너네 알 몇 개야?!" How many balls you got?! (Explanation: Before this situation happened, Wolf had been saying that BLG hadn't got enough "balls" (boldness) comparing to T1, referring to how many times T1 had won the world championship as the number of "balls". So this one actually makes sense, but technically speaking, it's a mistranslation.) (15:54) What going on here (x) - "어? 존야?" Oh, Zhonya? Jump out, Zeus (x) - "엘크 죽었다, 엘크 죽었어!" Elk's dead! He's gone! As a Chinese-American rooting for T1, this video just made me really sad. The desperation and frustration, the disappointment and acceptance. It's tragic for the losers.
From what i heard, China is losing interest in LoL because of the recent fails, most ppl feel like theres no porpuse to watch and cheer if LCK will win at the end.. Its pretty much a crysis. If thats true, the desperation makes sense, but its sad to me that they are really toxic towards each other, ON underperformed at game 5, thats true, but its his first worlds final, against Faker, against T1, its hard, give him some time, give them all some time, They deserve it. This T1 roster failed some times before the glory, sometimes u just need to have some patiance
@@Souzz__ Don't sympathize on LPL don't you remember their fans and officials mocking Faker's Father. I was so much happier when T1 win, do they think they can win by mocking Faker off all things they can mock they chose to mock his family. Fxxk them Karma is Bitch 🤣🤣🤣
@Souzz honestly I feel like this meta is just prone to supports choking. Like, Lehends was also the one who made a lot of mistakes for GenG, Meiko was also awful for TES...
There’s also the issue of China’s archaic gaming regulations. With these regulations continuing, the new crop of internationally viable competitors have been stunted.
@@Souzz__ Also need to consider how much impact that new law they passed like 2 years ago will have, the one about limiting game play time for under 18 players to just 1 hr per day, their up and coming rookie talent will have to develop after they turn 18 by then Koreans would have been in pro academy system for 2-3 years and probably grinding non stop since they were like 12-15 as amateurs. Not only in lol, but Dota2 has also seen a diminishing quality and quantity of talent in just 2 years from the usually strong Chinese teams.. I'm not in CN so it's not clear if those regulations came into effect and what their actual impact is today, but from the 10k birds eye view looks like it's not the same as '17-'21.
If you're old enough to have seen Faker's S7 Galio, you'll know that he ran the rift and literally soon after, Riot nerfed him. Damn, I miss the time when you can full channel your W and just flash in for an engage.
Kr streamers all still cheered and believed T1 even if they made a mistake and played bad at some points. Ch streamers in other hand, talk so much sht and swear BLG down when they make a mistake. Huge fan diff.
Just LPL salt. The fans in China are beyond obnoxious as well. When GEN when MSI 2024, half of them left before the trophy was even lifted. Honestly, it's a half-baked region (3 Worlds wins, lol) with fans that have no sense of sportsmanship at all. Every region has salty fans, but the amount and at this level among LPL fans is just unmatched by any other region. I'm glad this Worlds was hosted in EU, the atmosphere was great.
It's uncomfortable and sad to watch tbh. I wish they could be more positive and understanding toward the players especially in this high pressure tournament. But oh well... it's China. The root of "you're such a disappointment to the family and country"-culture.
Only those lack knowledge can blame on or lehends... They are contesting vision it's obvious they will be targeted and t1 has been very good with pick comps...
@Frieneathe second one, he’s trying to step up so kaisa can farm. Kaisa is already down so much CS and needs to catch as many CS before the next objective. If they just keep the lane state the same, it gets worse. Just Keria plays it perfectly and one more tower shot - keria would have died. It’s always the supports that suffer most, they are engage and have to contest vision.
@@trevorryder9732 BLG were the better team and they have built synergy with ON already I really wish they stay together if they played the 4th or 5th game better they had it Their drafts were winning against T1 all series they are just too good under pressure but i feel thats something BLG can learn T1 Also choked their first tournament with this roaster
Tbf, I don't think that's his intended message. Pretty sure he meant that faker is STILL a top tier mid, many ranking did exclude him from top 5 mid this worlds after all
most probably he means in today's time given how Chovy is basically number one and Knight as 1.5. Faker getting ranked lower than those two but in reality, Faker is the real #1 all along
whats the formula why LPL couldnt win the last 3 years? T1 made it to the finals each year. LPL's victory relies on T1 not making it to worlds and they go up against any other LCK team. As long as T1 makes it to worlds, no matter how dominant LPL looks, they always have to fear T1. And not to say LPL is behind in any way. But just the pressure that you are up against someone your region literally has lost to countless times in worlds is pretty demoralizing. But BLG did well, taking it to game 5. But I think that game 4, with T1's comeback they definitely got nervous, especially ON with his repeated mistakes. But then again, that Galio engage in the middle sealed their fates. It wasnt even that BLG played bad. That fight looked so good for them. In hindsight we can say "oh Bin shouldnt have TP'ed or Knight shouldve been aware of Galio but honestly nobody was expecting that kind of counter from T1. Not the viewers and definitely not the players .The fact Faker engaged like that and his team followed up to burst the Ahri and won a 3v4 is insane and should be nothing less of skill and not a mistake from BLG.
@@pandax5359 I think there was actually quite a lot of mind games going on during the draft. BLG banned two of Guma’s playable champs in varus+ashe, but purposely left out kalista cause they know T1 is always going to perma ban aurora+yone, which forces T1’s hand to ban kalista, leaving Jax open for Bin. Sylas was also left open for T1 to pick, and I’m not 100% sure, but I think that on purpose and was probably a trap cause picking Sylas would mean that BLG have the option to go for a Galio mid + Kindred(or Xin Zhao combo depending on what Guma picks) which makes the game very very hard for T1. T1 going for the Galio pick, although not the best in terms of synergy with other champs, makes that plan unviable so yeah, props to the T1 coaching staff and team for that.
@@DeltaBun Yea I think it was more of a focus on denying that play than synergy reasons but on the worlds stage you'd ideally like to have both which is why I think it was confusing for pros
While it is a confusing pick I can already see the danger in that pick, I already hate facing one of the two in my games as a diamond, what more if its an actual pro.
"BIN Jax is designed to counter ZEUS' Gragas" Oh brother.. famous last words. Zeus was toying with the jax on the sidelane, that jax was completely nullified the whole game and that final teamfight combo to Elk and baited everyone was chef's kiss. Zeus is truly confident with the champ as he himself said on the interview.
but... the only reason Bin was not effective is because of Faker. Sure, Zeus nullified him in sides but in the tf in the river the Jax killed Xayah, had Faker not made that play and the game would had run very different.
@@abigairey9543 "jax killed xayah" yeah no shit bro his team literally set him up for that, thats a flashless xayah bro this glazing is insane, bro was getting bomba'd by zeus and all he can do everytime was e and q back lmao. Doinb stating facts about the LPL…on how to raise a good environment. T1 as an organization has proven to be top tier in doing just that…with the rest of the LCK following suit on how to nurture players and esports in the long run.
I truly felt the letdown was so high, especially for game 5, given that BLG’s draft was like, either all the player’s signature picks (Bin’s Jax, Knight’s Ahri, Elk’s Kaisa) or comfort picks (Xun’s Jarven and On’s Rell)…with that draft, expectations were high for them to deliver because it seemed the draft was in their favor.
On played pretty bad, but tbf, he’s pretty much the only one initiating the fight on BLG, so unless he plays perfectly the whole series, he’s gonna fxck up eventually. Like he did pretty good the first few games, but fell off the last two games and now everyone remembers him for throwing the game 😓
They are sp.. And they have to contest vision.. Knight is not gonna secure vision and have 3 dashes obv his gonna be fine with his kda... T1 is very good in pick comps and knows how to target select and punish... That's why they will focus down enemy sp or jg...
@@DeltaBun not only perfect initiations he is also trying to do a initiation against xayah/poppy/gragas/galio... It was too hard for him tbh too many stuns and disengages is nearly impossible
Love how the acknowledge Faker and T1 at the end. No excuse, just pure honest comments. Yeah on made crucial mistakes, and BLG rush that 4-3 chase at mid but T1 especially Faker kept their cool and showed their experience in clutch. Look at Oner in second fight, after Knight missed his flash charm, Oner attack a minion twice to set up his knock up which resulted to them chain CC’d Ahri. While in the last fight, Keria stick to Ahri and when she TP to try and help the fight on top side, he ult’d Ahro to cancel her TP. Making it possible for T1 to turn around the fight. Those decision making in clutch time really showed their experience.
yeah in the first game i was confused bc i thought they would let Bin play jax to test and see if Zeus could counter it with gragas so they wouldnt have to ban it in the next games if it worked. Now i see that they were just that confident that Zeus would be able to do it so they saved it for last
Yeah honestly Bin's Jax this game looked so sad. He really didn't do anything this game at all. Sure on was inting but T1 fully drafted to make Jax not play the game. Jax can't kill galio, too tanky. Can't kill Xin, too tanky. Can't kill gragas, too much cc and ult. Can't kill poppy. Can't kill Xayah, R + cleanse. T1 baited the shit out of them to pick Jax. I also felt like knight should have taken sylas like they hovered in draft before taking ahri. When I saw the sylas hover vs T1 showing gragas galio I thought sylas would be insanely strong but no. I guess they were afraid of being 4 melee champs but those ults are insane to steal.
@@august_yuukajust another aspect that made T1s worlds win so impressive They invited the two strongest teams at the tournament to play their best picks and beat them at their comfort just as they did JDG with zeri last year but this time they did it as a back to back without azir or other comfort picks - they legit laid any doubt about them to rest perfectly a) enemy always chokes b) faker small champ pool c) faker washed now d) meta favoured them What can you say after this worlds? They beat them at their best and at their comfort, they just clutched it out regardless of draft or meta and played through bot, top and mid, won on fakers back (BLG) and won with faker dead (GenG)…
I like it when they said Galio/Gragas was a weird pick until they realized BLG was baited to get their aggressive comfort picks into an anti dive team and went "Its all about the mastery now" LMAO XD
To whom wonders why Ning (IG champion JG in 2018) is referred in 16:30 : After the T1 TES stomp, many LPL casters and analysts criticized the BP of TES said that the comp had no damage to penetrate through the "great wall" of T1's comp (a metaphor). Then Ning who is now a streamer comes out and criticize that caster and said "there is no champion in LOL named "great wall"" and the Chinese community made fun of him on his low academic qualification that cannot even understand a metaphor.

@@ak3nodxd674 Zeus going for Ahri is correct play, Ahri was fed and she would have one shot Guma. But in the end it was Guma miss to flash downwards instead of blue buff path.
Not only that but it also denied BLG's Kindred-Galio combo. And anything Faker could play would be weak against Galio. Sylas, Ahri are not that good into Galio. Galio was mega pick here
the hate on ON is unreal tbh. he can't always be that perfect to land everything. He's their prime initiator. What do they want him to do? Not look for opportunities?

They're all shocked and scared of the blind pick Galio. It's like what does Faker know that we don't know and an uneasy feeling of loss coming. Plus as an Ahri player I don't think she was a good pick for this game/vs Galio.
Great work! Just would like to point out at 7:20, UZI said "Gragas teleprted" instead of "Gragas kicked in". The T stands for "teleport" not the Chinese word "踢".
I understand that they're reducing the salary in the lpl, but this loss should motivate pros in the lpl, not deter. You could be the one to finally take the King down and write your name as the one who took him down.
“I think the way Faker played these last two games solidified him as a top-tier mid-laner” is an understatement Mr. Uzi, he is the undisputed, the greatest, the best mid-laner in the entire world.
That's Uzi int he pink ear headphones? My impression watching him play was always that he's a very serious man, but seeing him here he's so relaxed and having fun. It's great to see.

14:26 Man I love the random addition of Wolf’s POV by himself in the corner 😂😂😂

Thank you so much
As a Chinese-American rooting for T1, this video just made me really sad.

Tbf, I don't think that's his intended message. Pretty sure he meant that faker is STILL a top tier mid, many ranking did exclude him from top 5 mid this worlds after all
Likely some respect is lost in translation here
@@Lethologican yeah, the translation itself for that line isn't wrong, but we have to consider the context to get his message
most probably he means in today's time given how Chovy is basically number one and Knight as 1.5.

It was a confusing pick, I get that. They kinda don't synergise well but hey they made it work 🎉🎉 let's gooo

If you watch the recent matches of Bin Jax vs T1, it's not really an issue for T1.
but... the only reason Bin was not effective is because of Faker.
GENG Lehends soul went into BLG On to throw this last GAME 5 😂😂😂
On played pretty bad, but tbf, he’s pretty much the only one initiating the fight on BLG, so unless he plays perfectly the whole series, he’s gonna fxck up eventually. Like he did pretty good the first few games, but fell off the last two games and now everyone remembers him for throwing the game 😓
They are sp.. And they have to contest vision.. Knight is not gonna secure vision and have 3 dashes obv his gonna be fine with his kda... T1 is very good in pick comps and knows how to target select and punish... That's why they will focus down enemy sp or jg...
Moreover it's against 5 disengage champions 🤣 Picking the perfect moment is already hard on its own.
@@DeltaBun not only perfect initiations he is also trying to do a initiation against xayah/poppy/gragas/galio... It was too hard for him tbh too many stuns and disengages is nearly impossible

Glad to hear all the Chinese streamers (and half a chinese streamer Doinb) acknowledge Faker's incredible skills at the end
😂
T1 really give them Jax and Ahri just to masterclass them.....
yeah in the first game i was confused bc i thought they would let Bin play jax to test and see if Zeus could counter it with gragas so they wouldnt have to ban it in the next games if it worked. Now i see that they were just that confident that Zeus would be able to do it so they saved it for last
Elk Kaisa and On Rell as well
Both may not be as famous or potent as Jax Bin or Knight Ahri but BLG indeed have 4 comfort pick on game 5
@@YuYuYuna_ greatly summarized! BLG were indeed baited to pick their comf picks, and T1 did their homework by not letting them play their game.
@@august_yuukajust another aspect that made T1s worlds win so impressive
They invited the two strongest teams at the tournament to play their best picks and beat them at their comfort just as they did JDG with zeri last year but this time they did it as a back to back without azir or other comfort picks - they legit laid any doubt about them to rest perfectly
a) enemy always chokes
b) faker small champ pool
c) faker washed now
d) meta favoured them
What can you say after this worlds? They beat them at their best and at their comfort, they just clutched it out regardless of draft or meta and played through bot, top and mid, won on fakers back (BLG) and won with faker dead (GenG)…
I like it when they said Galio/Gragas was a weird pick until they realized BLG was baited to get their aggressive comfort picks into an anti dive team and went "Its all about the mastery now" LMAO XD
