Kkabi is short for Ahkkabi (아까비) which means like "it was close, too bad" or "too bad we almost did it"
so it's like nt?
@@sangad1149 yes
not Gabi? ☹️
Even If it wasn't close at all, they say "kkabi" to maintain team morale
@krpyrrhos8217 yes it's basically nice try
Faker: "Go with yout gut". That amount of confidence probably is what makes them step-up their game during worlds
T1: pick whatever and send it!
GenG: 1500 word essay about why tristana mid is a good pick ( She'll avoid fights and scale)
So true. Meta read is important yes, but comfort and unorthodox picks are just way too different when a pro player gets their hands on their main champs. It's absolute cinema.
Well... dont tell that to guma. He will pick vayne catDespair
I remember in Dota 2, Ceb who's one of the best coaches of the game said something like "If you are very good at the game, it's more important to trust your instincts than to simply trust meta."
@@ML-sv5ez And that OG line up was legendary too.
Audience: "They're taking their time to pick, must be a good draft"
Fans: "Oh wait, let keria cook"
Faker: "What am I gonna pick?"
Keria: "hahaha, the cheers are getting louder"
Keria: What should I play
Oner: Pyke?
Zeus: I'd recomment pyke.
Faker: Go with your gut feeling.
Guma: ...... *protests in silence*
Plot twist: Guma is silent because he is the one with a blanket approval on Keria's tomfooleries. The team doesn't babysit him like a "prince" (which is a slang for ADC in KR) so he grew up to become the unkillable demon prince. He is not a baby, he's a gangster who initiates team fights with a Curtain Call so that he could 1v1 enemy Nocturns and make the fight much easier for his team (just like how he did against G2 on Swiss Stage 4).
And he's probably the one who trusts Keria the most. He's the one who invited Keria to join T1, saying "Hey, I'm gonna win Worlds, it would be nice if you joined me."
oner didn't sugest pyke, keria picked it already
@@jsceoHe's questioning the Pyke hover not suggesting it.
@@neilfrancoiso.salcedo3431 that what i said
@@jsceo above is an exact transcription starting from 10:28
2:16 Miss Fortune or MF became "MiPo(미포)" from the first syllables from each words. Korean don't have separate F and P, so a Korean saying "Miss Fortune" in Korean would sound like "Missu Potune" and therefore Mipo.
3:50 Cloudtemplar: "Where are you going (어디가)"
10:10 It was left out in here but the Korean commentators said something like "In Paris, the city of fashion, Viego fails to change his clothes not even once!"
That's a great line from the commentators. 😂
I would just add that it’s not pronounced "MiPo" but closer to "MiPho" where "Pho" is a mix between P and F (imagine in English "Drop hot", its similar)
MiPo would be written 미보
that comment at the end by the Korean commentators is absolute savage 🤣
@@Pwassoncru We write "마법(magic)" as "maBeoP" in the Roman Alphabet. I am fully aware that our consonants ㅂ, ㄷ, ㄱ can and will sound halfway between p, t, k and b, d, and g at the start of a syllable. You can find how we pronounce "gum" and laugh at it because the confusion is genuinely funny. But we do separate P and B when we represent our language in the Roman alphabet, especially when it comes at the front of the syllable.
McCune-Reischauer method does follow your suggestion, but we (South Koreans) ditched it in the 2000s because A. it has apostrophes and diacritics that are a nightmare to type on qwerty keyboards and B. when two or more letters start representing two or more sounds all at the same time it will make us spontaneously combust.
The only occasion when this is broken in the modern "Revised System of Romanization" and P is used over B to substitute Hangul ㅂ at the start of a syllable is when using B makes the Roman Alphabet representation of our sounds spell weird in English language.
Source: That's how a "p" ended up in my handle.
@@Pwassoncru as korean i would like to say 미보 would be Mi Bo and 미포 as Mi Po thz
I love how their communication and focus evolved so much. Back then they would celebrate every kill and all smile but since their loss at 2022, they even fixed their attitude towards getting kills by not making it a big deal and staying focused on the game. This T1 roster have really come so far and I wanna see them reach even greater heights.T1 ZOFGK fighting!✨
Honestly, losing in 2022 was probably the best thing that could have happened to them.
the team seems way more humble and locked in, and as a result, they are a complete menace, lol
@@oli_devdefinitely! It is when their debut at T1 as well and it taught them the hardest lesson they could carry with them throughout their careers. It's bound to happen for them to not repeat the same mistake.
I think their coms are actually really impressive and precise. When you listen to western coms they tend to shout over each other very frequently all trying to output their information.
@@Unplayedexactly! They're just so calm, collected and focused. They have the John Wick attitude when in-game like they're men of commitment, focus and sheer fking will.
The crazy part about the "engage on support" teamfight strat is that there is a window of cooldowns where a counterplay can be made because the attacking team used all their spells. But since they just lost a support they start backing off instead of throwing out their cooldowns. What ends up happening is the attacking team earns themselves 10s breathing room which cycles their cooldowns and the window for counterattack is gone.
If you look at the last fight from T1 vs GEN where Faker dies early, T1 end up in a 4v5. However instead of just running, they try to turn it back and in those immediately ensuing moments after Faker's death, the damage is low from GEN and it allows T1 to punch back. That allows them to counterhit and level the skirmish before the next round of cooldowns instead of gifting over a free kill and a decisive advantage to GEN.
It also required the remaining 4 members to play that team fight almost impeccably and hinged on the skarner ult grabbing payz as he flashed away. Otherwise Ashe just melts all of them. Keria was also able to provide a lot of utility. The reason more teams don’t take advantage of that window is that their mode of engage is gone. The remaining 4 can’t just throw themselves at the other team
The "engage on support" strategy is mostly about deleting the *engage* support so that the team that no longer has their engage support have a harder time forcing a fight due to their loss of one of their primary engage tools.
They re-engaged because Oner hit a great Ult that disabled Peyz and forced Chovy to retreat. The call from Faker when he got picked and killed was to disengage.
까비(kkabi) is short for 아깝다(Akkapda). It's used when something was close like when you almost score a shot but miss by a hair.
ONER didn't suggest pyke. he was questioning it after keria hovered pyke
Zeus was the one who backed up the Pyke pick but Keria was already thinking about it.
Debatable
you're right
8:15 I think part of what contributes to this is meta. When tank junglers were the meta last year you wouldn't get as much value from focusing the engage/tank, especially with like Rell jungle, they'd just be too tanky. Right now though, every Rell just goes Aftershock with support items and 5 seconds after engage they turn squishy. And often the Rell, or Leona, or Alistar is also the only tank, because tank top isn't meta either besides K'sante. So if you can kill their main engage, their only tank, who often plays far up to get vision and is prone to being caught out, that's a ton of value for free. In the case of T1-GenG, they showed just how much value you can get by killing Lehends every chance they could get lol.
You should watch vs geng voice comm.

4:26 Faker with his wrist 😢
and he won with that wrist
Amazing to hear how calm they are on comms even during intense teamfights. That's the true sign of a world class team. Most other teams shout and scream so much you can't actually hear their calls, but not T1 - cool, calm, collected.
Kkabi usually is translated to nice try or it was close
10:24 "stop calling me pookie" okay pookie
10:07 oner actually said "viego is trash" hahaha
and then Keria replied "Trash, Roger"😂
Korean players often call champions who run out of skills 'trash'. A similar one is called '(empty) can'. hahaha
As a Korean, the word 'kkabi' comes from the Korean word 'akkabda' (meaning 'it was so close' or 'almost had it'). In internet slang, 'akkabi' was derived from 'akkabda' - which expresses regret or disappointment when something almost happened but didn't - and it was then shortened to 'kkabi'.
This guys really good at blitzcrank sound effects 😂
1:42 It's a complex slang that means "Light sadness or regret."
Kkabi means "the action was a bit of a waste." or "lose one's chance."
8:51 and is easier because they are usually under level + the fact that they will be behind tempo and even if the 5x4 don't happen you control vision because of the tempo ahead.
1:45 the subtitles just saying 'kkabi' is giving major 'tl note: keikaku means plan' vibes
2:22 Oner: “I got your back” 🥺
KKabi means "what a waste"... "what a lost opportunity"
I mean its close to almost
As Korean, It's more like, "That was close." But your definition is not wrong.
i've always thought it was like "tough luck" or sumn
In this case it's closer to "nice try" or "close"
Kkabi(까비) is abbreviated version of A-kkabi(아까비) which means "it was so was close what a shame"
3:46 "gotta get hi" should be "gotta get him"
I just wanna add that they focus engage supports or supports in genera on team fights so that they're also the first to respawn and usually won't do much defending the base if it's under siege.
I hope they win i dont think I can handle keria being escorted off the stage again at a worlds final
you got what you wanted 🎉🎉
Personally I think the initial burst engage on the support works quite well since the meta isnt necessarily tank top side and thus the support is the only engage/tank which is easier to focus cuz he's mostly alone on the frontline. For me this wouldnt be possible with like a ornn or ksante top
crazy that they communicate more than faker lol he's just chilling
Maybe they burst the support cause the support most of the time patch the teamfight. like whenever a carry is under a lot of fire. the support will peel and disengage for the carry. but when the support gets caught. it's hard for the carry to peel for them because of the possibility that they turn towards the carry instead since a few basic ability will 100-0 a mispositioned carry.
Keria has potential of trolling in league tournaments and it's crazy how he deserved to be on this team 😂
I love the chat having emotes for every damn situation. Golden rats had me rolling dxdd
Kerias flash over the wall to stop the Galio ult was never talked about.
9:00 i noticed the same thing in most games across the years. Well, mainly from watching T1, it's often the engage Supports that get T1, THEN following that whiffed Ults THEN they lose the teamfight.
But when T1 focuses an engage champ like Galio/Rell early, then they dominate the teamfights
04:00 힐리쌍? ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
I think ranged support might come back into the meta since it's becoming more frequent that melee supports just get focused and blown up since they never have enough gold to be tanky.
8:40 I wonder if farming Tahm Kench (with fasting Senna) would counter this strat? He's farming so he has gold to build full tank, won't be underleveled, and has 2 health bars to tank the initial engage so your team can counterattack.
Seems like the weakness of Senna Tk right now is lane swap as it's hard for fasting Senna to run up and down the lanes and not end up with 4 levels down on enemy AD. The trade-off is a beefier TK, but you trade a lot of damage, while enemy AD is blasting your team.
3:07 I think Keria saw the tris jump and knew she was prime target
Is it good to release the voice comns now? When they're in finals and this can be analyzed by BLG?
That is a good point
I think it's fine, they're not releasing any draft intel anyway
T1 comtents division said the coaches always check every voice comms content before they release it to make sure it doesn't release any important strategies.

Yesterday, I went to the Faker cafe.
But the Faker cafe wasn’t open.
I just thought about Faker at a cafe.
I didn’t actually go to a cafe.
I just sat at home and drank coffee.
Actually, I didn’t even drink coffee.
I’m just in a Faker state.
When I got on the bus, the driver looked at me curiously and asked,
“Student, why did you punch in for two when there’s only one of you?”
“Because Faker is always with me in my heart.”
The driver chuckled a bit and said to me,
“Student, we don’t charge our hero Faker.”
You guys, I experienced something ridiculous today...
Aren’t tanghulu supposed to be made with seasonal fruits that are in high demand...?
I went to a tanghulu shop today, but guess what?
They didn’t have any daesanghyuk tanghulu...
What could possibly be more in season than daesanghyuk...?
It’s not even out of season, so it should always be in season...
Feeling upset, I’m leaving a comment...
If someone were to ask me,
“How much do you love Faker?”
I would turn away and say, “Just as much as my fingernail.”
But then I’d turn back,
And looking at my fingernail, which keeps growing no matter how much I cut it,
I might end up crying my eyes out.
Why do people say “Hooray for Faker” like that?
What am I supposed to do, keep my hand up?
If I do that, I can’t do anything.
Do I need to ask for permission for everything?
Am I supposed to keep my hand up?
I can’t even eat or go to the bathroom.
Baby: P...
Dad: Oh my! It seems like our baby is trying to talk!

6:47 With how easy it's to kill them, when they provide usually most of teams CC or engage it's quite interesting that western teams didn't pick up on it much yet. Im excited to see how Caedrel with how much he watches LCK/LPL how many tactics/picks etc. can he bring in to help Los Ratones since not even LEC do some of theese tactics xdd
supports are the squishiest because they have the lowest gold and level BUT they usually have the most impact in terms of (usually) engage/snap engage
I think teams invest so much on killing support is the result of this lane swap/ brawl/ skirmish heavy meta. Supports are often fucked in terms of gold and exp if the swaps doesn’t go well and there’s so much fighting so even if they choose tanks they’re insta one shot and can look so it if the engage is scuffed ever so slightly
까비(kind of a shortened version of 아깝다) is used when you failed sth you almost succeeded

Helpful tip: Kkabi means "to be a pity". It's like saying "oh that's a shame".
T1 has become the Ferrari of LOL, even when you say you’re not a T1 fan, you are a T1 fan.

"If Pyke's good you go with Pyke"
I mean, that is a good arguement.
Bursting the support makes sense with lane swaps, they are always underleveled
The obseevation about supps is very good. I am trying to transition to sup from top and I realized that a lot of games that I lost, I die first.
I m not saying I am good. I am saying that supps contribute more than we thought. I play Nami btw.

Kkabi is slang of Akkabda
I cant understand how this T1 Roster got so many haters :)) after they win they all become fanboys again :))
Out of curiousity - why do they speak some english words to eachother? is it considered slang for them?
Supports are under leveled with no items always so it's better to just one shot them quick to get numbers advantage and CC/utility off the table.
The different between Faker and Chovy is that Faker willing to die so his team can make a play and win game, chovy just play for KDA lmao

Focusing the support down is not a new thing, my earliest memory of this goes back to 2013 worlds, where Faker would 1 shot supports on Ahri and LB with DFG, before an objective. I guess it now takes more than 1 champ, since the damage nerf.

Could be wrong here but I think we all remember game 1 HLE vs GenG during Swiss. Delight showed cased the 1 v 9 potential with his Rell. Every game after that GenG will try to kill Delight first. That is when I realized teams are starting to focus on killing the support first.
