Did you wash the coconut oil out before putting the bleach in your hair?
Got my job orientation tomorrow thank you so much!!!!!!!!
Be careful with bags that have stuff printed on them! I’ve seen pictures of people that have ended up with Walmart logos bleached into their hair 😂😂😂
Omg thats hilarious! Lol I use the inside of the bags and haven't had any problems but that's a funny thought that could happen. Hahaha 😂😂
Me too! Scares the crap outta me! I got a pack of 9 shower caps from dollar tree so that's what I use. Currently in the process of fading out my purple. Arctic fox is no joke! This stuff wants to hold on for dear life! I did purple rain 6 weeks ago and it's now about the same color at the start of this video. Think I'm gunna let it fade a little while longer before I do a bleach bath cause I wanna just leave it alone for a while when I go back blonde.
@@alijen320 ive got Artric Fox Violet Dream. The dye has faded ALOT. I have a lot of pale pink orange blonde on top layer then under top layer is ALOT darker purple pink
Chloe
Good to know hahahahaha
Lmao the red colors for Sally’s beauty supply rubbed off on me but just the color
The nerd in me is screaming SCIENCE!
lol... What makes coconut oil so amazingly awesome for bleach is its what's called a chelating agent. Basically, it finds all those nasty little bits of oxidation, which happens as a reaction between the bleach and trace metals and whatnot in your hair. Those trace metals literally rust! And that's why your hair gets so damaged and fried. Except Mr. Awesome coconut oil comes in and surrounds and neutralizes the oxidation (rust) and voila! Very little damage! I like to put it on the night before and let it truly penetrate (hehe... I said penetrate) all the way through, but at least 4 hours prior. Okay sorry for having to be a science nerd for a sec, but I love science! Great tutorial! Love the tats, your sleeve is awesome! Oh and Sally's now has a generic version of olaplex for like 5 bucks and it works just as well, I swear! So now I use that and coconut oil as a second defense!
Thats awesome info. I was in the process of getting a science degree actually so I love hearing all about it. I I only have like 3 more classes. I really need to finish it. I been wanting to try Olaplex so thats awesome to know! I just went to Sallys today and am posting my haul video tmrw. Lol Thank you!
AnitaTaco thanks for the info and playlet tip!
No thank you for being a science nerd because now I know the secrets of coconut oil 😍❤
What’s the treatment that’s like olaplex called ?
AnitaTaco what’s the mock Olaplex!!! Tell meeee!!!
I'm not gonna lie, I clicked on this thinking it would not help or be informative at ALL.....I take it back. That was the most informative hair colour video I've seen on YT. And thank you for explaining the numbers with the developer that you mix in hair dye or bleach. I didn't know what on earth the difference was.
So glad it helped! I'm here if you have any questions. Hope your hair bleaching/coloring goes well! Thanks for watching!
Just attempted this... went from purple to Blonde ... worked like a dream! Amazing video ❤️
Awesome! Glad it worked!
Did you wash the coconut out before doing the bleach bath?
I’m a hairstylist. You did a great job for someone doing it at home. For those dark spots on your roots if you ever did want to get rid of that just go in with a 20 vol. just on the dark spots. Love seeing people doing bleach baths to remove colour then bleaching the hell out of it multiple times. Way safer! Also great call on coconut oil! I use it on my clients all the time. Also another good way to protect the hair when doing a full on bleach not a bleach bath .. but dampen the hair it’s helps saturate better and with the hair already being damp it really helps. Great video. Keep them coming ❤️
Awesome! This means so much. I'm hoping to go to school to be an actual professional in the next year. Thanks!
It’s a fun trade! I think you would do amazing with it ❤️❤️
Gorgeous!!! Thank you so much ! My mum is addicted to crazy colours and now she wanted to go back to blonde. After the cancer her hair is very thin so we have to be careful when adding bleach to it. Coconut oil was absolutely extraordinary thank you!
Try aphogee, its made my thin hair survive harsh treatments and makes it soft too:)
I LOVE this video! Cannot believe you don't have more views. I'm about to do a purple in my hair, but I've also always wanted to go white, thank you so much for putting this up!! ❤ you're amazing
I dyed my hair bright pink and the next day I went to school and my teacher told me I can’t come back with pink hair , thank you so much I will try this!!
Thats not fair. My kids go to school with all diff colors. Haha I'm glad I could help tho!
It worked really well for me. So pleased with the results! That coconut oil hour before the bleach saved my hair and worked wonders.
My hair was fluorescent purple, then faded to grayish purple and some pinks. But still really dark. I couldn't wait to get my blonde hair back!!!
Thank you Jen for making this video!♡
I have the same color atm, how long did you put the shampoo on for it to lighten evenly please 🙏
Did you rinse the coconut oil out before applying the bleach??
@@dennirussell3667no, you leave it on
this is perfect, i use coconut oil for almost everything and iv'e been trying to find ways to go to blonde from purple so i can't wait to try this
Just found your channel. Love it! I’m doing a bleach bath right now and fingers crossed. I have turquoise and purple in my hair. I’ve done bleach baths before but never let it sit for longer than 5 minutes out of fear!
really like the blond! Thanks for the tip about the Coconut oil!
Thanks! No prob. 😊
Honestly helped so much!! Best hair color removing video ive ever seen ❤ i have the same purple right now and wanna remove it and do a really bright teal soooo bad!!!
I always use coconut oil when I bleach too! I've never actually done a bleach bath but my hair is purple and I would love to get to the blonde you did. Love this video, so helpful! I can't wait to try this. Thanks girl!
Awesome! No prob!
Do you leave the coconut oil in when you bleach it or do you wash it out before bleaching
@@sammorrow3036 Yes I leave it in, then wash it out with the bleach
Thank you so much I will definitely be trying this. Your hair came out looking amazing. 😻
Thank you for sharing this! I have purple hair and am going back to blonde. I’m going to use this!
Girl, you literally help me save my hair... I need it to remove a little of color buildup, my hair started to look darker and I want it a more vibrant red. I was hesitant about it, I know I could do a bleach bath but I didn’t want to damage my hair, the coconut oil help my hair... thank you 🙏🏻
I have purple hair right now and really want to bleach it as soon as possible to dye it blue/turquoise... and now I am srsly gonna try this thing with coconut oil! Thank you so much for the tip!
how was it???
Love this! Thanks so much. I’m about to bleach purple out of my hair and I’m always super nervous to bleach my hair
Will be trying this ASAP. I still have some purple in my hair from about 8 months ago (my AF colors last a loonnnggg time because I use color depositing conditioner cuz I don’t like to bleach my hair more than twice a year) and it needs to go. Think I’ll be doing 20 vol instead of 30 because most of the color has faded and is now silvery-purple, but there are areas that are much darker underneath so I figured I would hit the darkest areas first, then pull through the lighter areas. I will be using your coconut oil tip, but I’ll also be adding Olaplex 1 to the actual bleach mixture. As for my roots, I’m going to leave them alone for now and get them with my regular bleaching process a few days later. I hope this turns out alright. Thanks so much!
Yess!,coconut oil is a life saver.
Thanks so much for this video.. my hair is currently purple but I’m ready to go back to a blonde and was trying to figure out the less damaging method than full on bleach.
you have such a bright personality! thank you for sharing this tutorial :)
The "cool wHHHip" moment had me so tickled 😂😂 you are awesome Jade, so gorgeous!!!
Another thing that works very well when you're doing a bleach bath is to get done normally washing your hair put a deep conditioner in your hair and leave it in let that soak in your hair for a little bit and then put the bleach bath with the shampoo on top of your hair that already has the conditioner in it yes it does cut down on the strength of it but it does leave quite an even and nice result
I have Demi permanent orange hair dye in my hair, would this help remove it? I have platinum hair underneath. Ignore my profile pics it’s a few years old.
What are like the measurements or ratios between the bleach the developer and the shampoo?
so wait. i wanted to bleach the bottom layer of my hair. but it’s currently like a faded green teal (it was blue) can i just bleach it? or will it turn mint green
I haven’t watch the video yet BUT I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS VIDEO OMG I have purple hair and I’m so tired of itttttt 😩😩
I had teal/blue hair then lightened it to mint green, then covered that up with purple. Will this get all of that out you think?
Do you need to have the oil on while you bleach bath? Or do you rinse it out first
When using this method can your hair turn pink do to the bleach and purple
There are a few reasons your roots are darker. one is because they are a lower level, meaning darker. Two the diluted bleach didn't lift them as much. And it lifted the purple because it's older and not virgin hair so the cuticle is more open so can be removed easier ❤️ I'm a cosmetologist lol and loved your video
Oh wow. Thats cool. Makes sense. Thanks!
Would someone be nice enough to explain what the proportions would be for the mix? I get that it's lightning powder, mixed with 30 volume developer, and some shampoo. I have purple shampoo is that good to use or should I use the dandruff shampoo? How much shampoo specifically?
I have dyed my hair and it turns into level 6 or 7, do you think this method would lift my hair into level 9 or 10? Then after doing this bleach bath can i use a toner for me to get a platinum?
I freaking love you! I need to retouch my purple that I did in sept. 2019 and from the retouches it’s uneven but I’ve been scared to bleach it all.
does this work with permanent dye?
Ok so I was confused about what was left on all night (didn't read the comments) I'm going to assume it was the coconut oil not the bleach correct? Because I tried it on my hair which the pink was lighter than yours and brown roots but I'm not sure if I've left the oil or bleach on long enough because the brown went blonde yet the pink just lightened so I'm wondering if I should do it once more on the pink area but keep the oil or bleach in for a few hours 🤔🤔🤔 helllp
How much shampoo do you add and does it matter what kind of shampoo you use?
Did you wash the coconut oil out before bleaching or did you bleach with the coconut oil on?
Thanks for your video! I am hoping for the same result.. Just bleached my hair and then wanted lilac but turned out ginger pink and I kinda hate it! How long should I wait before this? I only bleached it once and my hair doesnt seem fried or anything at all! Thanks for your help lovely!
Did you add shampoo to the bleach mixture before putting it on your hair?
Great video! Love it! 💕 Gave it a thumbs up. Thanx 4 the tip about the coconut oil!
Did you put the coconut oil on after you washed out the bleach?
Thank you!!! I’m doing this today to get my hair ready for porange and electric paradise!!! ❤️❤️
i’m doing electric paradise too!!!❤️
I''m about to watch all of your episodes within the next week lol I needed this channel!
Do you put the coconut oil on dry or wet hair?
I’m so glad I found your video! I’m wanting to remove this red/burgundy from my hair...I hate it! Can’t wait to try this!!!
Good advice about the coconut oil my hair is super overprocessed and this helped alot thank you from a new subscriber 😁
Awesome! Glad to help! Welcome to the fam! 💜
Do you wash the coconut oil out before bleaching? Or just leave it in?
Thank u. I'm trying this tomorrow. I went purple for my hubby but I miss my blonde. After summer I'm going black.
Did u put shampoo into the bleach mix, Or just used it to wash the bleach out??
How long does it sit on the hair?
Does it have to be faded purple? I have a pretty dark purple now
How much shampoo do i have to put in?
how much shampoo do you mix in??
Did you wash out the coconut oil before bleaching?
How much shampoo do I mix in it ?
Do you add a certain brand or color shampoo (or doesn’t matter) to bleach?
Love this ! Thanks so much. My hair is an ugly purple rn and I wanna do something light soon
Hey gal, how much bleach do I use and how much shampoo do I add? I have purple and blue ish hair and massive roots, I wanna go orange 🤩
I loved your video and I enjoyed the music, great video !
How much shampoo do I add?
I’m blonde but it’s very uneven so I’m going to try this bleach bath and hopefully it evens everything out! and yes I’ve tried the toning all the purple shampoos and conditioners!
Yeah it should def help with that!
Ty so much with the coconut oil and the mixing shampoo in it idk that! Which is why i stopped bleaching. I didn't stop buying colors from Sally's every time I go in there they have a new color and I would buy it just haven't got around to using it plus it's so hard to do the back of my head sometimes I'll have polka dots back there but I think I'm going to give it a go tomorrow I got this beautiful rose pink I want to use
No prob! Just make sure you're mixing the shampoo into the bleach mixture, not the cocout oil. Thats a seperate step. But yes, this method saved my hair! I've been able to keep coloring and bleaching with no damage. So awesome! I use a mirror for the back of my head. Works great. Let me know how it turned out! I loved when I had pink hair. I bet its going to be really pretty. 😊
Question!! How much shampoo should I add to the mixture?😋
So hun do u recommend that to put the coconut oil in ur hair and then do the bleach bath over the top to get a better result in stripping the colour out ? Or coconut oil just to help ur hair be protected .
Yes. You put the bleach bath over the coconut oil. It helps take the color out and it also protects your hair.
Can I do this after color oops? I currently have bright red hair that I want to get rid off and possibly go bright green but I do not want to damage my hair 😥
I would wait awhile in between. Color oops can be just as damaging as bleach.
Help😢😢😢 Can I use a bleach bath to correct toner? And if so how soon????
lol i tho uh hr i wa the only one that tied my hair up in a bag after dying my hair. Thanks so much for this i just uploaded my purple hair dying video and now that i’ve had it for about a month and have orange spots i’m ready to go blonde again. hope to become supporters of each other live your channel
Ma’am I desperately need help🥺 will this work as well with red
Very nice thank you
Do you think this would work on my darker purple hair more violet ? I was debating this or trying to use the dish soap/ shampoo method first to get as much out first
Yeah. I'd do the dish soap and clarifying shampoo to fade it as much as possible before doing this. Then I'm sure it'll work good
Do you wash the coconut out before you put the bleach in?
Mine is brighter right now it’s had Arctic Fox in it for a long time but I really want to go back blonde. I hope this will work for me!
what are the measurement??
Did you use a 30 vol for your hair? would it be safe using it on a level 8 or 9 blonde? I also have purple rain in my hair that i want to get rid of tonight in 1 go
Yes. It will be fine on your hair. Its a good middle ground. 20 isn't enough pull and 40 could be more damaging. 30 is the best way to go. You can do it in 1 try for sure.
Wow!!! Thanks!!!
Thanks for this, I love your hair, I currently have purple/pink and will be moving onto the blue/green... and will def. try the bleach bath in between. Thanks!! Love from CHile
Awesome! No prob! Did you see my Mermaid hair tutorial? That's my version of blue/green. Although I used Neverland from Arctic Fox, Iris Green is better. I loved my blue hair.
Jen Of All Trades yes, 😍ill use it as a guide too!!!!
Awesome
Quick question: So when you soak your hair in the coconut oil before hand do you rinse it out before bleaching or do you just leave it in and bleach over the coconut oil?
You leave it in and bleach right over the top of it. That's what helps with the damage.
Wow that amazing what shampoo did you use
You are so lovely to watch and very informative!
P.S. I make the same face when I mix hair colour or bleach lol lol
By the way ,you want to check out Schwarzkopf blondme bleach with bond enforcer ...not only smells nice but lift up to 9 levels and leaves hair in better condition than B2w ..
I know as I used B2W before..
Lovely watching you girl!
I have not tried this yet but can you use the bleach powder from a box bleach??
Yeah for sure! Any bleach will work.
Is it right the composition of bleach bath = bleach powder : developer : shampoo = 1 : 1 : 1 ? Thank you
Asian Pearl in America yes!
Anything with bleach is a 1:2 ratio.
Hi anyone have a way of keeping coconut oil from getting ants in them. I live in fl and the container was in a plastic bag close and they where insids it not outside it. Like i was shocked that they attack the coconut oil everytime i get it. Like ill take some advice from anyone. Also my home is clean just that one item i have as a hair product abd that happens. Thanks for the video. Can you use wen bc i only have wen ? i been afaird to mix bleach with wen.
Aunt Best maybe like put the coconut oil in a small tub or something and surround it with water so the ants can’t get to it?
Can you use this on permanent color or just semi permanent? Currently have dark brown permanent dye all over and I want to go lighter!
Yep. It'll work on anything. You can also try the baking soda method from a video I did. That'll lighten it also. 😊
Ooh coconut oil. I'll give that a try 2moro. The beach bath didn't get rid of my red. Now it's just a salmon color and the salmon is being stubborn. Did a deep condition after. And 2moro I'll try with the coconut oil first. I've gotten the red out before few years ago a lot easier, it's being super stubborn this time. My hair just laps up color like crazy
That sucks. Coconut oil is more of a hair protectant than getting the color out. Try my baking soda method! It got all my color out in 1 try. Its just a little harder to shampoo out but its not damaging like bleach is.
Here's the link for it: ua-cam.com/video/ZhdLymF-vMo/v-deo.html
Question. Do I need to leave the coconut oil on the hair and apply the bleach bath or do I need to rinse it out and then apply the bleach bath? I have messed up my hair colour as I have used different brands of purple so I want to re-do my whole hair before my wedding. Tia x
Did anyone answer? As I was wondering the same
The target bag as a cap, you’re a true professional lol seriously though I can’t believe I never thought of that! Thank you!!!
Lol Thanks!
Thank you for such an informative and helpful video! You got some amazing results. I see that you're using a 30 developer. If I'm trying to get out a dark raspberry color and my roots are black, should I bleach my roots with a higher developer than the rest of the hair? Thanks again, and I loved the cool whhhhip part !
Yeah with black roots I'd bleach roots first by themselves using the 30 volume. Rinse that like normal. Then after your hair is completely dry again, do the bleach bath over the whole thing. That will help even out the root color too. If your hair is dry, you could wait a day or 2 in bw doing the roots and the rest. Thank you so much for your nice comment! Hope this helps. 😊
Absolutely don't bleach your roots with a higher volume developer there is no need. The roots process faster due to the heat that comes off your scalp.it will actually lighten much quicker than the rest of your hair.
I Hv like 6 Inches of Virgin dark Root regrowth will it work or do I Hv to do roots last
It'll lighten your roots too but you may have to do a 2nd round on roots only to get it to match the rest of your hair. Depends how dark it is. Virgin hair does lift easier so it might also equal out. 🤷♀️
Coconut oil works well for bleaching but for after use raw Shea butter it’s super cheap and it really REALLY conditions hair has all the vitamins and fatty acids your hair has and needs and uv protection too! As we know sun is not bleached hairs friend just a lil tip from one to another 💜
Nice! I'll def try that! Thanks for sharing!
You are sooo sweet ..And thank you for the video 🤗🤗
Do you wash the coconut oil out before you put the bleach mixture on it ?
Nope. Just put the bleach mixture right on top of it.
Helpful vid, thankyou
I'm sorry I may be dumb but do you rinse out the coconut oil before you do the bleach bath
Nope. I kept it in to act as a barrier bw the bleach and my hair. It takes longer to process but also protects it.
Subscribing you girl ! You just made me feel good enough to dye my hair blonde my very first time. 🖤
I'm so glad! Go for it!
My hairs so hard to bleach I bleached it a lot in a span of a few days, didn't really turn out how I wanted and there was pink on the ends along with random green so I now have all pink hair but I'm hoping a bleach bath will make everything look better or at least... HOPEFULLY....reach platinum blonde
I am stoked to try this, but I wonder if it works as good on splat
I think Splat is a little harder to get out but it should work the same.
Has anyone ever tried the coconut oil method & the baking soda method together for bringing it back to blonde?
