I went to Covenant university, one of the best universities in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.

But, the buildings look cheap!
This university looks great but it can not be compared infrastructure wise with most of the government own universities in Ghana. Most governments universities in Ghana have better infrastructure than this university

Not as beautiful as people speak about I think AUN is still number one in terms of infrastructure but covenant is rated number 1 in academics

Accordng to Times Higher Education Ranking, the most source of higher education, no Nigerian university is rated top 10. South has 6 top 10. The Univesity of Cape Coast, Ghana, is the best in West Africa and 7th in Africa. A little bit of research will help.
And you should have kept reading the T.H.E Report, not make noise with incomplete research... T.H.E top 10 in Sub-saharan Universities in Africa: Covenant/Nigeria (No. 7) tops Asheshi/Ghana (No. 9). And also:

@fistandpen2505 STOP IT! I am using the most current: Times Higher Education Ranking, 2024. No Nigerian university. US News and Report methodology is even laughed at by education experts here in the United States. Do you know the statement, "Top 10." That is why 4th placed athletes don't get medals. Why don't you count till you get to top 1000. Nigeria is 7 times larger (population) than Ghana, so it should've far more universities (7 times) than Ghana. It shows how mediocre and terrible the tertiary education system is.
@@Frank-Bediko62 I think you should actually take your own advice, and "stop it." Someone clearly presented you with receipts, instead of you to consider them and clarify, you decided to rant. And from what I see, you are not even good at it.
So what, that there are more recognized schools at Ghana than Nigerian!? What would you have us do? And considering you've not been thinking with your head, you'd have known it's far difficult to share resources among larger populations. Hopefully, this time around, you'd use your head to make the comparison before you respond. I'd also recommend you learn to research well, it will save you from looking stupid in the future.
@Robert-qh8os NITWIT! I clearly stated my source. Isn't it a shame that a country of 220m people does not have a university at the top. Nigeria is 7 times the size of Ghana, but it spends almost the same amount on education as Ghana. It tells a lot about the priorities of the elites. The size of Nigeria should be an advantage: what economists call "population dividend." Are counties like India, Brazil, Indonesia, etc, making excuses about size. Stop giving flimsy excuses to justify the mediocrity of the elites while they spend the nation's resources on private and overseas (Ghana included) education of their wards. How could Yahaya Bello steal 80b of Kogi's money on expensive private education of his children? SMH!
Frank, I used the very same source. No Nigerian would argue that we want to and should do better in terms of education. Not just true for Nigeria but Africa as a whole (outside perhaps SA). And you said "Ghana included" but you went out of your way to take aim at Nigeria. The reality is that Nigeria has more schools in the top 100 than Ghana. So focus your focus make we focus our focus.
I saw a post rating top private universities in Nigeria and Covenant came first. I want to see what it looks like.
Covenant is unarguably the best private university. I just don't know where it ranks with other public universities in Nigeria.

@@youme1414 There are obviously schools with better infrastructure. I think your case would have made sense if there was a comparative. Among African schools, I'd argue the infrastructure at Covenant University is better than most.

Anyway, your claim may or may not be correct. And let's note how you framed your response, emphasis on "organized", which very much shifts the perspective from efficacy of infrastructures to positioning.
But then again, your claim doesn't disprove what I originally said: Covenant University infrastructures beats most African universities. In fact, your response does nothing to my claim which makes me wonder why you brought up LBS in the first place.

I disagree with you. South Africa has the best universities in Africa. Despite saying that our universities are better than the ones in Ghana and many in Kenya/
Which university in nigeria is better than Ghanaian universities, when was the last time you saw students coming from Europe and other African countries to study in Nigeria. Go online and watch Ghanaians universities and compare it to Nigerians universities.
Your universities are not that big compared to that of Nigeria with huge land mass.

I think some Nigerian universities are some of the best in Africa but I think that the overall best universities in Africa are not Nigerian universities. There are better universities in South Africa and even Ghana.
