I saw them at Dunk!festival a few years ago. A friend of my friend, someone I barely know myself, who's a huge fan of them, joined up with us the day that The Ocean played. We stood at the front and this friend was singing along to all the songs, very actively. The singer noticed and at a certain point the singer came head to head with the friend, mic in between them, both screaming to the song. Must've been the ultimate moment for this friend. After the show a photographer even stepped up to him, telling him that she took a picture of the moment and was willing to send it to him, so they exchanged emails. A lesson I think you can take from this is that, if you're showing some heart at the right moment, the people that matter to you will notice because you matter to them as well. I think this friend stood out from all the other people in the crowd because he was the only one engaging with the show and to me it felt like the singer wanted that from his crowd. Another lesson would be, if you're at a show of your favourite band, don't hold back.
That's kind of the beauty of this band (and the reason they don't have very much reach, unfortunately.) Their music is much more of an ambient, cinematic art, rather than something you'd want to dance and party to. But yeah, there's NOBODY that does what they do as good as them. They're my favorite artist for a reason.
@rifman6895 I get what you're saying, but I sort of disagree. Been to two of their show and people were moshing and moving along to the riffs. For me that kind of made the show, along with everything else obviously
Saw them live once where they hid the Singer next to the Drums. Stage was clouded in smoke and light. So the vocals felt like they came out of nowhere. Really amazing feeling.
I'm too old to join one these days, and maybe it was because of how packed that room was, but the fact that there was no pit going at 4:59 bummed out the 20-something metalhead in me. That part of the record makes me smile every time with how hard it smacks you in the face. Hell of a performance, guys...hope to see you in the states soon for a Holocene tour!
Saw them this Feb at the O2 Academy in Bristol. Blew me away (as I didn't know much about them at the time as I was there primarily for Karnivool). Hopefully going to see them in November at The Fleece with This will Destroy You .
Great Song 🎸 🎤 🎹 👍

I love that almost no one’s moving or filming!
The future belongs to great great bands like The Ocean!
Awesome show, great Job guys!
"No one's moving" is not really a great sign IMO. Have to agree with the filming tho

@@brunoabud6672 Hm. I guess I stand corrected... to some extent.
Amazing live band. Seeing you guys once again tomorrow night in Brisbane! Thanks for coming all the way over here again. Can't wait!!
Someday I WILL watch these guys live. What an incredible performance
Do it! My wife and I saw them with leprous. Absolutely fantastic. The sheer wall of their sound vibrated my being.

I wish i could see these guys live so badly. I'd kill to hear some Pelagial live. Vocalist... and everyone is so on point live.
Perfection. Can't wait to see you in Australia in a few weeks lads!
Please come to America some time
this crazy but yall need an epilepsy warning
Isn't that kind of a given for live performances across the board?
@@solacedagony1234 yeah it is, but this one is absolutely wild lol
Best band on earth!

Magistral 🎉🎉
Amazing guys ❤👌
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I don't understand how nobody was getting in to it. Even with bands I don't know I try to move.
I was there and I was really into it, most people were, they had everyone shocked I think haha
When's the new Saver album 😭
Clean as fuck. Maybe vocals are mixed a wee bit too loud. Great performance from everybody though!
5:10 hello epilepsy
I was there! You guys blew Karnivool away!
