    PARABIOSIS LYRICS:
    „Our task is not to rediscover nature but to remake it.“
    release
    revive
    reverse
    retire
    the hearse
    give grace
    it’s tough to stay in shape
    regenerative medicine
    we’re so focused on extending our lifespan
    we mustn’t want everything
    we mustn’t want everything we can
    methuselahs of depravity
    obsessed with youth and longevity
    we must embrace the brevity
    for the only way to end eternal life is suicide
    let it all begin
    just another time
    sweet dreams…
    let it all begin again
    and never ever learn from our mistakes
    let it all begin
    picture a world when anybody, anywhere
    anytime can rebuild an entire organ
    all the way from a stem cell and regenerate
    on command any metabolic process
    revert back to pluripotent cells
    and halt for good the ageing process
    overcome, bend the laws of nature
    parabiosis
    reverse the curse of ageing
    regrowing hair and youthful skin
    instant rejuvenation to a younger state
    parabiosis
    regrowing hair and youthful skin
    instant regeneration to a healthy state
    ambrosia for each and for everyone of us
    fix any part as often as you must
    any broken part
    homo deus
    by removing death
    from our lives
    how different has our world become?
    we stay young ’til thy kingdom come
    face death, effacing death
    from our every day lives,
    tell me just how clean have we become?
    how safe have we become?
    how bleak has it become?
    how dead have we become?
    this is our earthly kingdom
    we’ve settled down here to stay
    for we shall live forever and a day
    replenish, recharge our batteries
    eternal youth at our fingertips
    we mustn’t want everything
    we mustn’t want everything we can
    the illusive promise of paradise
    representing a denial of earthly life
    is no longer projected into the heavens
    it’s embedded within earthly life itself

      Man plays with god, becomes is worst enemy.
      Our frailties are what makes us human.
      Theres an old Star Trek movie (horrible movie tbh) about taking away pain in order to be happy.
      We need our pain to live and thrive. We need imperfect genetics to bring the randomness that is life, and the brilliance of human ingenuity.

      There is no way to cheat death. Eternity on Earth will simply lead to death through boredom. I don’t fear the life beyond, I fear humanity in the 21st century.

    • @SaturnineXTS
      @SaturnineXTS Рік тому +7

      @@cd5642 There is no such thing as death of boredom. There are already more things to do on Earth than you'll have time to within ten average human lifetimes.
      But if you think an indefinite earthly life would be boring, how different would it be in heaven? The idea of paradise is already starting to sound unappealing, given the stuff we can do in life already

    • @cd5642
      @cd5642 Рік тому

      @@SaturnineXTS How many humans can this planet sustain and for how long? Do we stop having children? The more the human species defies death, the more the species feels as Gods. Without a belief in something higher than humanity on Earth the inevitable outcome will always be humans believing they are Gods. In our history, every time a human leader felt as if they had the powers of God, it has never ended well. Mass human suffering. How can you speak of boredom in the afterlife when you have no context? Are you coming from a place of fear? We were not meant to remain in these bodies, on this planet for eternity. Possibly the best line in this song is, “the only way to end eternal life is suicide.” Eternity in this Earthy body gives us nothing to look forward to and is most likely an inevitable path to suicide. This is all philosophical anyways. It doesn’t really matter because nature always has a way of evening the score one way or another!

    • @SaturnineXTS
      @SaturnineXTS Рік тому +1

      @@cd5642 Actually, when we achieve negligible senescence, people will still die due to disease or injury. Demographic projections accounting for negligible senescence show that the population is under of no risk of exploding exponentially, since people in general prefer to have less children these days, if they can get away with it. Also, technological progress will likely allow us to sustain larger and growing populations faster than they can grow, anyhow. Other than that, we will not have to spend so much money on late life medicine and care, have more people who can contribute to the economy rather than just being pensioners, and people being able to live longer, healthier lives.
      As for thinking the afterlife will be boring and whether it comes from a place of fear: No, what I fear is permanent cessation of existence. I think it's unfair and demeaning to the human mind, and what we are capable of. Thinking the afterlife will be boring is a simple consequence of humans requiring stimulation and purpose not to become bored or jaded. In a world where there are literally millions of things you can do, there is no shortage of stimulation, and it's not that hard to find a sense of purpose either. So afterlife would need to provide all these things as well. If it even exists, because I think afterlife was dreamed up by people exactly for the reason that deep down they don't accept permanent cessation of existence.
