More than once, you guys have written a song the encapsulated a period a time for me. Bathyalpelagic I: Impasses was 2014, when my wife was diagnosed with cancer. Permian: The Great Dying was the early pandemic and when I felt completely isolated. This song was 2023. I can't thank you enough. What you do makes a real difference in peoples' lives.
Same here (not the same songs though)! The music of The Ocean resonates very strong with what I've been feeling and thinking for years now. It really helps to deal with all that is going on, because you are not alone with your thoughts and feelings.
It's a bit of a hidden gem in the album (especially lyrics), but in the concert this one song really shone. Paul's tiny bell part was a great moment to wake a daydreaming audience :)
Can't wait til march!! You guys were my wife's first concert, and we got to see you another time and even kicked it with memebers of the band. I can't wait to show you a pic from the past... and can't wait to see what jams you'll be playing on this headlining tour
Thank you Pelagic and The Ocean for always having top tier visual and audio production both live and on video, as well as the studio mixes, artwork, and music videos. it really takes this insanely awesome concept of a band as it is, and elevates it even further. I will do my best to never miss a tour or album vinyl because of it. You're truly one of the most underrated bands on the planet and you need to keep making music for as long as you are passionate about it still, hopefully forever.
It would be amazing if they remade their very first demo from 2001. Like, completely modernized all five parts from Islands / Tides. I'd buy the shit out of that. Oh also, this live rendition of Atlantic rocks.
I would not turn that down at all. Same with Fogdiver since it was supposed to have lyrics but didn't. Also gimme Precambrian with Loic please lol. I went back to that Rhycian remake the other day and my initial negative opinion fell away when I realized it's a remake not supposed to be identical.
I was excited to see them next week, until I saw the setlist. The first 5 songs, I'm not trying to see at a show. I don't fancy sleeping at a live event. And how on earth aren't you gonna play Parabiosis???! I love this band more than I can explain, but holy heck, that setlist leaves a LOT to be desired. See you in Seattle.

I was too, until I spied the setlist 😢
@buckfuttler2877 what's the setlist?
@buckfuttler2877 Nevermind just saw it. No Great Dying or Cambrian II breaks my heart, but I'm still pumped.
@@tjjeremiah3991 I need some Parabiosis, Holocene, Firmament. Yeah, I'm still pumped too. Just bitching lol

I hated that the lazy crowd killed your show in Haarlem, NL last fall. You were an absolute blast even on a monday evening.
Where is PETER?!
How can you say that you love me?
