If you watch closely, and freeze the frame on the “tipped ball” TD in the CFP semifinal, it actually isn’t tipped. It hits Polk right in the hands, and I don’t think he expected it to with the defender flashing in front. Elite ball placement, hits him directly in the hands an inch from the defender’s finger tips
Personally, Penix is my QB 2, and one of 2 QBs I feel really good about being good in the NFL. He is the most natural thrower, and not far off Stroud as a passer, but has more velocity and arm strength. My comp is left handed Stafford, but there are maybe 5 QBS in the NFL that can make a throw like that.
From what I've seen in mock drafts and stuff, I don't think anyone is picking Penix in the first round even though I hope so as a Husky. Most Pac-12 players are underrated in general, plus his injury history, plus being a lefty. I honestly do see him fitting Raiders, Dolphins, or even Seahawks.
Id take him in RD 2 if he drops that far ( he might ) his medicals and age are a concern but he can definitely throw that ball and he's sneaky athletic. Our Best QB was Lefty Ken Stabler .....funny thing is HOFers Art Shell and Gene Upshaw were on his left side.
Penix will score the highest in the IQ test he’s really good at reading and breaking down defenses with a amazing are I’d Trade back draft penix sign cousins for 2 years with a option after 1 put penix in a strength and conditioning program his rookie season
He throws with his literal shoulder. Thats why when michigan was pressuibg him he couldnt do shit. Armchair scouts are missing that, its the power in his shoulders and nog his arm
God I hope the Raiders pick him up. I hate hearing all this talk about them trying to get Jayden Daniel’s because I don’t think trading everything to move up and get him is the best thing to do. I know Penix Jr has had injury issues in the past but he is so good man. I live in Washington State and watched all his games
In this QB rich draft, I think we can get a good QB in the 2nd round if one does not fall to us at 13. But I would not pass on a DT or OT and reach for a QB. A good QB will be there at pick 44. Or we can move up in the 2nd round to get the guy we want.
Falcons shocked the world and no team had a chance to jump in front of them to get the best QB in the draft. Several teams were trying to trade up to number 8 to get Penix because they thought the falcons would not take a QB.
As long as he passes the physical I would take him in a heartbeat. Penix going to the right team he will be a star. He is the QB the Raiders have set their sights on. All the other talk is lies. I think the Raiders will move up to get him.
I'm in Oregon so got to follow both Penix and Nix. Penix accuracy is impressive and he's consistent. It's those injuries, they also have been consistent. IMO he's a gamble and not many clear minded execs want concerns in their 1st pick. Your right tho, lots of needs for QB's right before us like Bronk hoes
I believe he’s being discriminated against due to being a lefty. It looks weird. It looks slow. But he’s the most accurate, has the quickest release, and easily the strongest arm. So there.
I see no QB we could get without giving up draft capital with a HIGHER CEILING than Penix. ... If the Raiders at #13 have Nix & PENIX on the board and don't take one .. We have failed ... AGAIN in the draft.
That hold was a trash call and potentially changed the outcome of the championship. They go score right there and it’s tied up. Instead he’s faced with 3rd and a mile and forced to throw a low percentage pass that results in a int returned 80 yards. Washington didn’t play great in that game but the refs were letting Michigan dbs get away with a lot of physical play and jobbing the dawgs
Played in every game for Washington the past 2 seasons and hasn't been injured since 2021. Don't believe the hype. He's better than Drake Maye, Bo Nix and every other QB in this draft not named Williams or Daniels
@biggie6181 We can disagree but atleast give facts to support your claim. Mine are he's thrown for 4500 yds 2 yrs in a row (almost 5000 this yr), beat Oregon and Bo Nix twice this yr en route to the Pac-12 title, and did more with less talent than any QB in the country. All facts 💯
@@BlackHoleVet Less talent what the fuck and facts are he’s had 4 season ending injuries and he crumbled in the biggest game against the best defense in college football
I understand the injury history part but I like his mobility he’s not a scrambler per say but he can evade pressure and that arm is something else he was throwing dots all year long

His fit in the vikings offense would be unreal.
🤔🤔
Vikings fan btw, just came across your video. I enjoyed it.
if you go look at the 6:42 clip, you’ll see the db never touched it. very crazy throw when you REALLY look at it. no luck
Hard to see but now that you mentioned that I see it
Go watch Steve Young in his prime play QB for the San Francisco 49ers in the mid to late ‘90’s. That’s exactly who Penix Jr. throws the ball like
With a little bit of tua
@@lilrjswag Not really. You don’t compare lesser talent (Tua) to better talent dummy

The first interception, Penix Jr was throwing on anticipation and definitely would not have been an interception if the WR doesn't slip.
Exactly

Stay in Purple Come to the Vikings
He needs strong protection
Facts but that’s most QBs

I personally wouldn’t sign Cousins

You brain dead. It was just a bad match up. What about the other games why only hyper focus on his bad game 😂😂.

Fuckin Falcons man
@@raideralexofficial They should be forced to trade first round picks with us for tampering! Those assholes!

Yeah those injuries are kind of scary but I wouldn’t be able to pass him up at 13 if he’s there
He's a good fit for the Donkeys too. think Payton will love his accuracy and arm strength, and Denver has a top 10 O-line to protect him.
What are the chances they go with him, with the 13th pick?
I think strong chance we select him
I believe he’s being discriminated against due to being a lefty. It looks weird. It looks slow. But he’s the most accurate, has the quickest release, and easily the strongest arm. So there.
Yeah left handed QBs have always thrown me off but I love what I’ve seen from Penix
Seems like we found the reason his motion developed so weird. He has a nearly 6'10" wingspan at only 6'2".
I really like Penix and could see him as a Raider

McCarthy has a higher ceiling but worse floor
@@Doors067 I don't see anything in College tape that tells me McCarthy has a HIGH Ceiling.

damn you called it, falcons took him.
I think his discrimination come from health good oline and Washington offense
To me it’s the injury history
I would say no too Penix @13 I would take him in the 2nd Though if, We don't select one high .
I’m good Penix, his injury history, lack of mobility, and how he handles pressure make it a NO for me 👎🏾
