If I had a big family this would 100% be the car I'd want to have. Sidenote, I was driving through a retail park car park in Naas a couple weeks ago and there was a guy taking pictures of his new Buzz (SWB version) and he looked so incredibly happy taking the photos and sending them on, it was such a pure moment I felt so happy for him because I'd be the exact same.
As a Tesla driver I have to say this is hands down the most feel good ev out there and nothing comes close. Your holiday starts with stepping into the car if you have an Id buzz. The intense positive feeling of happiness is so nice that it compensates for every other downside the buzz might have.
You dont need a car for that, dont align your happiness to an inanimate object.
@@terrydelahunt842 that's not the point. I am just impressed that it can feel good to sit in a car.

“ID Buzz… not ID Bugs” 😆👏👏 Well done, Mark - you’ve done it yet again!!! 👍🏻. Oh … and a large “99” please 🍦
Glad you enjoyed it
It’s kind of amazing what basic things were missing from the launch model. Especially considering the price.
Yes, I agree….was very surprised.😳
Thanks for that Nobby! Worth waiting until 1.00am for! 😊
ha, thanks!
Nice review Mark, delighted to observe that VW has provided 2 lights in the tailgate when raised to illuminate the load area, why do all manufacturers not include this in their models, seems pretty basic accessory to me ???
Great Review Mark! Not into EV's but this car would make anyone think.
Wonder will it depreciate like the current one? Like the practicality but given the inevitable extortionate price and the fact current ones are dropping value like a stone, you'd be better to wait and pick up a 2 or 3 year old one.
Where do you find the Buzzes that have dropped like a stone in value? I hoped they would, but around here they are still ridiculously expensive even as 2 year olds.
They keep improving battery / engine and more so yes they will drop in value like all other EV's 😂 and only 2 year warrenty on engine is not good
@@trrc9276 2 years on what the buzz?
Finally the people carrier it should have been from launch 😊
agreed!
Welcome to nobby on vans :)
I have the buzz box taken out in my SWB and no problem getting into the back for a fully grown adult!
I so freaking love this. Is software still crashing every 30 minutes though ? Very impressed by the roof and space inside. This makes me so eager to see a Tesla Cybervan, more powerful, more efficient and more reliable with zero maintenance and access to the Tesla network of superchargers.
Thank you for the video.
Looks as though a lot of thought went into the interior design of that. Build quality looks good as well.
Feels nicely built alright.
Do the front seats rotate?
Cheers mate
I heard the ID Buzz is coming with a smaller 53-ish kWh battery.
Hopefully LFP.
Hopefully with at least 3mi/kWh at 60-80mph.
Hopefully with 15"/16" alloy-steel wheels and efficient tyres.
Hopefully with Heat pump as standard
Hopefully with a front 2+1 bench
Hopefully with a 3rd row in SWB
Hopefully with a fabric canopy or 23 resin window option
Hopefully with a less tech-laden more analogue option.
Hopefully all that with a base price similar to the ID.4
Hopefully VW has gotten its act together, because after several years of hype and BUZZ as a big let down nothing similar to the Type2. A chronically posh class of car. Like as if the Honda E were a seven seater, all it'll need are mirror less doors with all the pretentiousness and lack of practicality, efficiency and affordability.
A base version, tech-detox 8 seater SWB ID BUZZ should not be impossible
God why didn't Citroën and Stellantis not try to EV convert the still fresh looking C4 Picasso Spacetourer?
I dread to think how much it is 😂
Xpend have really helped VW
Wish they made a petrol version.😊
Lovely car :D
Lets hope so
Nice review. Love the look of it but my kids know all want their own cars to drive.
Btw is there a way to buy you a coffee as a way of appreciation for the excellent reviews on your channel?
Thank you very much! buymeacoffee.com/nobbyoncars
@@NobbyOnCars Ty. Caffeine overdose inbound! ☕️ 😉
Is this color the 1st edition color or will it be available after the initial launch. That seat and exterior color option is amazing
Available
Does it have streaming now during charging? That is one feature I particularly liked on my Tesla‘s. And it‘s putting me off to get other brands. The sales people look at you like an alien if you ask them about it.
do you mean video?
Original ID Buzz was a cool looking vehicle but always thought should have 7 seat capability and rear windows not opening was not good. New version much more practical and will appeal to lot more people who want 7-seats in a vehicle that shape/size.
The lack of window and air vents is a hard one to grasp
Are they now being shipped to the US?
Yes
@@haukionkannelwhere? We’ve received zero Info on them except for what the model trims will be. No range numbers, no price, no estimated delivery dates
Coming to America, with extra cheese!
I'm hearing last 2 years how it is fantastic car, and soon will be on the USA market. Time is going and no sales are provided by Volkswagen yet. Is something wrong, or your chanesse factories didn't make sufficient production?
I’ll jump to buy one when they incorporate a 500kw/h or equivalent to 1000km on a single charge
be some weight in a 500kWh battery.....
Not sure how you would fit a 500 KWh battery pack on an 18 wheeler let alone on the Buzz. Apparently they have filled as much space as possible within the wheelbase and that’s why the battery is 86 KWh max.
@@yesloowhowever that is just poor engineering, many smaller cars fit bigger batteries, and this car desperately needs upwards of 100kwh
Do you regularly drive 1000km in one go? You don’t need that range you just top up everytime you stop for a coffee or when you get home, my ID buzz with circa 230 miles works fine.
Not even a long distance lorry driver needs a 1000 miles of range before stopping for a break, wee, lunch and refuel. Give your head a wobble.
I like I like…
How much cost
If you need to ask the price you probably can’t afford it…….
Evening
How much ?
not announced yet
Am I missing something more size more seats more passengers less range.
Great looking car but really should have a hybrid option.
Hybrids are mado for idiots who cannot think and who are bad at math.
60k. Insanity.
Cheap!
@@haukionkannel if you're rich
@@ImmortalMachine
In comparison…
It is WW… small WW 4 seater city EV cost €50000 so this is actually only €10000 more expensive and if you take normal WW family 5 seat family car… it will be about 60000€ so about the same price as this!
European cars just in general are expensive and WW follow the suite.
@@haukionkannel even that is too expensive. We need to get it down to the 30k mark if not lower for mass adoption.
@@ImmortalMachine
Yeah!
But it seems that those prices still are many, many years in future…
Maybe newer, who knows. There are some sub 30000€ EVs coming to the market, but those are really small cars. Tesla 2 has been delayed many times and so on.
When will VW realize that they new BUTTONS? I will love to buy this car, but I will not just because of that screen...
