What an excellent, exceptional coach! The price for what you get is just blowing my mind. I'd drop another 50 to 75k into it, for an updated lithium-solar package, change out the bunks for an office space, put a big screen televator in the bedroom where you suggest, have the belts and all rubber refreshed, have the suspension bushings and such re-done/updated, and perhaps re-coat the roof. Then tour the continent for the next 5 years...what a dream! 😊 You are an excellent presenter, well-done sir!
Beautiful coach! You are telling the truth on Rv parks. I have a 99 and we stayed at Hilton Head Island Motor Coach Resort, If your coach looks clean no issues.
I like this design. Always amazes me how many people who buy motorhomes seem to be against the idea of windows that you can see through and let light in
Alright so I did a lot of the remodeling on that coach. We owned it before the last owners. It had Originally been Terry Labante, the nascar drivers coach. So, those are not the Original countertops. We replaced those and added new fixtures and stove top. Re-upolstered all the furniture added that wall with the mosaic and the bathroom with the vessel sink etc. The subsequent owners added the booth, changed the blinds and put in the bunks for their 3 little ones. We really loved and enjoyed that coach!
Holy moly, someone spent some serious cheddar on that renovation. Good on them for saving the old parts so the next owner can use them if they choose to. That's a heck of a lot of machine for the money, and it'll be running down the road another 30 years easy if the next owner takes care of it. I found myself craning my neck trying to get a few glimpses of that Navigator next door. The '06 was the last year before they went to the taller ceilings in '07 but the outdoor proportions of the '06 has always been appealing to me.
James, it's been years since we spoke (Paul, in Austin. I asked you about a potential business gig). Just want to congratulate you on the progress of your channel, and of your video skills. Your excellent work and expertise in the industry goes without saying! Great video. Give me a riveted, non-slide, DD Series 60, and I'm good to go! All, and more, than I could ever wish for!
The previous owner races at the same track i do. They are not afraid of dropping some $$$$. Very meticulous people, they keep everything very neat and tidy.
Have to check if that is a 96 or 97 chassis. 97 first year for IFS. If it does have IFS you want to make sure the control arms have the bushing (larger) update Prevost did finally in 99 or 2000 as the originals didn't stand up very well.
Very nice. I personally am not a fan of all the mirrored surfaces especially the ceilings. Don't know what it is but I just find it to be too much for me. I know, I know, it is to give the illusion of more space just not for me. But I do like lots of other things about this bus, mind you I would have to pull the bunks out and put the washer back in to make it work for me. And the stripper window from the shower to the bedroom, weird! Good price for what you are getting. ($231K CDN) I would love to see what Doug's version of a Lemon is...
Never realized they had campgrounds for snobs... That drive system for the fan and air conditioning compressor is the craziest thing I've seen. Makes no sense to have that hinged system with small air bags to tension the belts. If you blow a bag or air line, what prevents it from throwing those belts when all the slack hits and the engine is at operating rpm? I worked on school buses for 20+ years and any time a belt came loose on a fan drive all sorts of issues happened almost instantly. Really weird setup.
One thing I always forget to say is that unlike newer RVs, these have reached pretty much the floor of value so in 4 years it will likely still go for $155k as long as it was cared for.
@@AZExpert I appreciate the feed back, I was just joking around, when he said a dollar a mile. I figured let’s put some miles on her and make some money. But you’re right. They are done depreciating.
That is a great coach if you are doing a lot of traveling but if you stay for long periods in the same place not having slideouts would make this coach aggravating and cramped
What should an owner expect in annual maintenance costs for these Prevost conversions? Annual maintenance for the engine, transmission, etc. and also the coach?
As a fleet vehicle these buses have fairly reasonably priced and accessible parts, but normal maintenance is also reasonable as they are designed as a working fleet vehicle so cost is very similar to an average diesel RV. It's the complicated interior converter features that really are expensive, especially the slides so this would be much cheaper than most luxury RVs and entry level RVs.
James, I appreciate the quick response. What I’m looking for is what the actual range of cost I should expect. Is reasonable $1k-$2k? Separately, what is the expected MPG for the Series 60? Thank you, as a long-time viewer I greatly appreciate your videos and authentic RV service expertise.

James does a great job of presenting Features, Benefits. He really knows his stuff
Doug was right, he said you would do a great job on the video and you nailed it, phenomenal video… thank you!
Thank you, I never really know what to say but end up saying way too much! :)

Very cool! The countertops did seem newer than I expected
I have remodeled several buses. It's my favorite thing to do!

The communication port is for Starlink.
Nailed it !!!!
Great job of showing and explaining everything in the coach. Don
I'd love this for my son's concert tour, but as the star he would have the bedroom while while Dad has to sleep in a bunk, lol.
Beautiful Coach !! Great video love the design
Beautiful upgrade
Great looking bus ! I would be all for it , but my wife likes the slide outs . Someone will get a good coach and decent price!
Quite the rig
I have a 1995 H3-40 Prevost with Over The Road air conditioning. The converter was FeatherLite but the designer was Vantare.
That cable is for a Gen 2 Starlink Antenna, It likely led to the router side which provided power and data over that cable to the antenna on the roof.
Yep, great answer!!!
Very close.. it's actually for the flat high performance Starlink dish. :)
The previous owner races at the same track i do. They are not afraid of dropping some $$$$. Very meticulous people, they keep everything very neat and tidy.
That front cable must be Starlink! 😊
You are right!
Love it...wow

Did he say he's selling it $169 000?!?! If so that's a steal right there.
I think so too
@@AZExpert James , was the mileage mentioned ?

This is really nice! Does Doug have lifts or a pit to get chassis, suspension and steering inspection and would you do those also? Great stuff James!
Sold!!
Wow! 8 of those big batteries! Probably 1000 lbs total just in batteries.
Would be a good buy
I would like you to show the shore connection bay. Water, sewer, power, etc on every coach.
24:21 That's for Starlink.

Is this already sold? Checked the site and it's not showing. Interested
I want..
Looks like a StarLink connector.
I am guessing it could be a Qualcomm antenna mount..
That’s a decent price, will the price increase when you take it for a test drive and the mileage goes up 😅

How much money It is this what I have been loveing for
Looking for
👍
Just short of lithium. You could plug in a liberty style lithium package with a full rack of solar with a giant quad awning package and be set up.
But there is no room for solar on that crowded roof. 🤣🤣 Sarcasm.
Are those belts supposed to be so lose?
nope
The PTO belts can be loose for sure after sitting they are tightened by an air bag but likely could use some new ones.
@@AZExpert loosely goosey
Belts are tensioned by air pressure.
