A relaxing way to pass 24.40 minutes. Super camera work and editing. I love the uncluttered setting with its simple tonality and colours. Great sound and weathering too. Thanks a lot for sharing!
Thanks Andy. I enjoy filming these sessions, whilst on paper a two turnout scheme is ‘boring’ once you introduce sound, the road, and different length spurs it has entertained me for 4 years already!
I’m going to have to make one of those cardboard iPhone holders for these type of on layout shots. Placement of the “crew” in several scenes was great!
Thank you, need to take a look. Frog juicers in use - seems strange to be the third axle to pass… I’ll give it all a clean and see if I can replicate it.
How do you mean? I think they’re difficult to curate - I’ve done it on Fancy Another Beer, but otherwise I try and avoid deliberate shadow as it usually betrays the size of the models or shows some other deficiency in your modelling abilities!
Thanks - the Rail Exclusive speaker certainly helps, as does the resin shell (rather than injection moulded plastic). Realistically, the best sounding model I own I think. More special that it was hand made by me from the kit.
@JamesHiltonCustomModelRailways You did a good job there. I enjoy stock construction, even if it is time consuming, it's very satisfying. So enjoyable to watch too👍👍😊
Another new loco.? Brand, did you repaint ? How many Canadian HO locos now ? Maybe you should do a meet the Fleet video for Beaverbrook. You keep inspiring my work and shelf layouts ! Bernie
Thanks Joe, they’re Modelu in the UK though they ship worldwide. I helped develop the initial North American range so was given a handful of early prototypes.
Gees, you totally got me !! On You Tube, the former Terra Transport catch my eyes. They´re was never green loco in NF (at least, that flashy green). Cool i click, wanting to see a modeling train. Well a bit deceptive. I want a "toy", not a real one ! It took me a few seconds to realise that it´s a " toy train" !! I think it´s a good proof of your modeling and filming talent ! Don´t be offusqued by "Toy" train word. Just the best oppose to "real" . But a bad sign for your railroad. Never a good sign to see pull up track just after the crossing....😅😅😅
After a hectic weekend, this video was the ideal tonic…..many thanks James! Where did you source the parked up trailer from? Please do keep these videos coming. BW

Thanks Michael, really glad you enjoyed it, the railway tells a story embed with both first and second hand memories. I love visiting.
Some great camera angles, showing off the layout and stock. Such a chill way to pass 25mins.

Thanks! Go for it, tell your friends, I’d just appreciate a name and channel check if you use it!
I grew up
Thank you, yes, I like that framing ‘implausibly plausible’.
Amazing videography on this. I thought it was the real thing.
Thanks Chris! Glad you enjoyed it.
Lovely, slow, realistic , zen running of a layout.
thanks Erik, helped by the ESU decoder for sure!
@@JamesHiltonCustomModelRailwaysI love the figures who made them. thank you?
That is some beautifully weathered rolling stock.
Thank you, that’s very kind!
Smooth as silk. First class editing that drops you in trackside.
Thanks, it’s rough and ready really, but I’ll take the compliment!
Fantastic video. A great inspiration to watch as I work on my own new layout, which is quite similar. Keep up the great work!
Thanks Alex, happy to help!

Superb views, almost there in yard. Shunting is so absorbing. Any ideas on mood lighting and light shadows on self contained layouts like yours?

Nice…😊
thank you 🙏
Wonderful. Lovely running looks so realistic, sounds good too (and Im not DCC sound's biggest fan) 👍😊

Thanks Bernie. I’ve had 1751 for years, the details are in the video description as always. It’s a Kaslo resin shell on a Proto2000 chassis.

Thanks Jeremy, the trailer (I must paint it!) is a Walthers kit.
@@JamesHiltonCustomModelRailways thanks James…..the steps are a great addition.
