Great Ranking! My personal Riley Sager Ranking: 1.) The House Across the Lake 4.5 ⭐️ 2.) The Only One Left 4.5 ⭐️ 3.) Home Before Dark. 4.0 ⭐️ 4.) Lock Every Door. 4.0 ⭐️ 5.) Survive The Night. 3.5 ⭐️ 6.) Final Girls. 3.0 ⭐️ 7.) The Last Time I Lied. 2.5. ⭐️
Lock every door was my first Riley Sager book too! Honestly when I finished reading it, it got me interested in reading more of his work as well I especially found her relationship to the author to be really fun, especially when everything became revealed to her and hoping she has to live with what she’s been apart of for the rest of her life.
My favorite Riley Sager books in order or Home before dark. The house across the lake. The only one left. Survive the night. Lock every door. The last time I lied. Final girl. I have to read Middle of the night
Read/Ranking: (these first two could be interchangeable, would need to re-read to solidify): Lock Every Door #1 Home Before Dark #2 The Last Time I Lied #3 Middle of the Night .. a far #4 Still need to read: Final Girls (already have it, hope to read soon) Survive the Night The House Across the Lake The Only One Left All my Riley Sager books are/going to be BOTM editions because that's how it started and now they all need to match 😅
I just started getting into Riley Sager and I think it’s funny how the books I’ve read by him so far are at the bottom of your list. And since I’m thoroughly enjoying them, I’m looking forward to reading the rest (that you’ve ranked high).
OMG great ranking Im currently in the riley sager marathon cause I have read one and cant stop and have read 3 for now and I would say my Ranking for those are 1. Home Before Dark - 5.0 2.The Last Time I Lied - 5.0 3.Lock Every Door - 4.5 (it was my first riley sager read too) I just love how he can make so many twists and turns it just surprises you constantly cause when you think you know where its going, girl you dont now $**t
"The Last Time I Lied" was my first Sager novel, and it continues to hold the top spot. There was something about the characters, setting, and twists that had me so enthralled. Using the "game" as a device to create doubt and add a ritual to the story really pulled me in further. I enjoy any book by Riley Sager, and I'm always excited for a new release.
this is my Riley Sager rating: 1. Final girls (5.0⭐️) 2. The only one left (4.5⭐️) 3. Survive the night (4.0⭐️) 4. Middle of the night (4.0⭐️) 5. The last time I lied (3.5⭐️) 6. The house across the lake (3.5⭐️) 7. Lock every door (3.5⭐️) 8. Home before dark (3.0⭐️ I don’t even remember the plot oups)
For me it’s The Last Time I Lied The Only One Left The House Across the Lake Home Before Dark Middle of the Night I just haven’t gotten around to reading the last few!
I loved this video, but I've never read any books, by Riley Sager. But now I no were to start. Thank you for posting the video. The book, I ready on to try first is the final girl. Big slasher fan so the seems like it will be a good read for me.
I found Final girls in a local used book store and was THRILLED (mind you, I live in Brazil). I always see you talking about Riley Sager, so finding one of his books was super fun and exciting 😆 haven't read yet, I'm finishing another book atm
Least favorite: Only one left Favorites: Last Time I Lied, Final Girls, Home Before Dark Haven’t read: survive the night, lock every door, middle of the night
I loved this video. Also I love Riley Sagar books. As a Stephen King fan I was wondering if you would consider a Stephen King ranking of books you have read. I really like your videos and have added many books to my tbr.
I've only read two of his books so far, but my ranking would be: 1. Home Before Dark 2. The Only One Left So many similarities between Home Before Dark and the Haunting of Hill House tv show, which I loved!
1. lock every door 2. the house across the lake 3.the only one left 4. home before dark 5. the last time I lied 6. middle of the night (the worst by far) I'm currently reading 'final girls' but only just started
My favorites so far are Lock Every Door and Middle of the Night. Liked, didn't love Only One Left and Last Time I Lied. Disliked House Across the Lake, DNF'd Final Girls. Just purchased Survive The Night on Kindle 🙂
It’s funny, I haven’t read a ton of Riley Sager, but I’ll always read what he writes because it’s enjoyable. I actually think “Middle of the Night” might be my favorite so far. lol I liked the male perspective. I feel like thrillers I read so often feature a female POV, which is fine… I just really enjoyed the change. I didn’t especially care for “Lock Every Door”, and I thought “Home Before Dark” was mostly fun, but I don’t think I liked the protagonist much and I disliked the ending. lol Oh and I actually did enjoy “The House Across the Lake”. Now I figure if people rave about a Riley Sager book, I’ll probably just like it okay, and if they don’t care for it, I’ll probably enjoy it more. 😂
Spoiler: Okay, I just finished reading my very first Riley Sager book, "The House Across the Lake." I absolutely loved it. So freaky!! What a great thrill ride. At first, I wasn't sure I'd like the book, since her constant drinking got on my nerves, and the slow start almost had me putting it down. But then, once Katherine, the neighbor, went missing, it was a thrill ride from there and I couldn't stop reading! I appreciate your review of the other books. I want to read others of his books. I bought "The Only One Left" and will probably read it next. But I also am extremely drawn to "Home Before Dark." The way you describe it, I want to read it pronto!!! Reading about a girl who returns to a haunted house she grew up in sounds really good!
Mr ranking from top to bottom (noting I haven't read his first two books) is 1) Middle of the Night 2) Only One Left 3) Lock Every Door (this was y second favourite thriller for a very long time. I think it is the only book ever where the hype actually made the book better) 4) House Across the Lake 5) Home Before Dark 6) Survive the Night (this book is objectively - not subjectively - god awful, it's so lazy in its execution and I feel like he knew it cause he really upped his game following this release. I literally laughed reading it cause it was "so bad it's good" - so maybe that should bump it up above home across the lake but🤷)
Great Ranking!

For me it’s
The Last Time I Lied
The Only One Left
The House Across the Lake
Home Before Dark
Middle of the Night
I just haven’t gotten around to reading the last few!

I have a recommendation this is a recent book but have you read cuddle buddies by Harrison Philips
😊🏆🏆🏆
Wondered there going to make a Hollow Cocoon, Naribikimura, Yonesawara Hospital, Masagoro and Abandoned Souls book (horror/mystery/thriller game)
