Plantain skin has iron, which is good if you're anemic. Don't use store bought, full of chemicals.

I'll only leave the plantain skin on, if it's coming from my backyard or farm since a lot of chemicals are sprayed on the plantain before exporting.

Yeah I've been eating this before I even saw this video. Sometimes I don't use the plantain with peel, but a few times I do; and add cocoyam instead of yam.
Where I stay, I electricity may not be available sometimes when I want to prepare it, so I go ahead and grate the plantain and don't wait for processor powered by electric. It still comes out nice except that it may not be as smooth😊😊

What kins of banana is this whose peels edible. Don't they have sap? Isn't it sour? We have several types of bananas on Uganda 3 categories: for yellow/sweet bananas, for cooking and for alcohol.
Within these categories there are over 50 types especially for the cookable ones. They all have lots of sap anyway.
