Ep103: What I pay for my full size allotment plot

It's that time of year again - PAY DAY on the plot. First though, it's time to start the Autumn clear up inc. the blighted tomatoes and dead sweetcorn after the first proper frost. We check on the pumpkins and get rid of a bit of the tree spinach so I can actually get to the cape gooseberries and see if there are any ready to harvest. Oh and there's the arrival of the new greenhouse on the plot! A short interlude for a hike in the Peaks and then I squeeze in the only other window I can find this week for a quick catch up. We cover the 2025 plot price - spoiler: it has gone up! - and what is included within it and have a sneak peak at my Kings Seeds order. I share how beautiful the garden is looking during this fleeting summer/autumn colour crossover.

Wow that is a bargain!
I gave up my allotment plot a couple years ago but annually was paying £74.50 for half a plot 5 rods!!

Good morning to you. I pay £50 and few odd pence for 77 square metres for the year. Very fortunate in that my plot is literally right outside my back garden gate. It’s a Town Council owned area and one of 3 in my town. Have had it 2 years next month and feel very fortunate to have it. I really love growing, trying new things and have learned so much from great channels like yours in this time.
There’s about 40 people currently on the waiting list here.
