Condo unit is a good investment Jackie you can buy these and rented it to a foreigner or a friend like my friend she invested her money on condominium units she advice me never buy a second or third rate condo because a first rate condo is easy to despatch or sell these condo unit are in a prime lots she have lot of it's and she show me how much she earn per unit the payment are in post dated checks she just encash it in the bank when due time for rentals . The earnings she receive from her condo units she use it for traveling around the world just keep in mind that condo unit life span is only 50 years so before it reach 50 sell the unit right away and but a new one

No truth in 50 years life span. High-rises, there are many that dates back to 20th century. Just look at HK, Singapore, NY, London and SFO. Many built before Vietnam War.

@@bigradwolf5001 I just follow my lawyer's advice in investing in condominium unit and that advice is what I share in my comment my friend in Land Bank a manager advice me the same, 50 years is the life span of a building so that what they adviced me and that what I share in my comment thank you for spending your precious time reading it and thank you for your reply

@@mikeyfraile2402 The 50 years life span of condos is universal, it's the same in the US. But i don't know how it pans out in the Philippines once it turns 50 years old.
But in the US, you have to contribute a lot to HOA for the repair.

Philippine banks has great supply of cheap forclosed condos thats what I mean. Do not buy from annoying brokers 🤑 go straight to the banks. They will offer good deal to foreigners. 😁

Nice. I bought one there in Makati years back (10 years). I rented it out over the years. Planning to retire in 3 years in my early 50s. and just chill while I wait for pension. Where you guys from? Are you planning also to just rent it out. Even if low, I didn't care much as long as it takes care of my HoA and get me some money for my vacation there. The goal was just peace of mind I have something to retire to that I own already.

Better RENT and live care free and have the abillity to MOVE if something is wrong or u get bored of the area.

@@nattm6553 You can sell it when time comes and enjoy the gain or even just breakeven, at least you live rent free. Makati boomed after I bought so my property is now 10x my cost, does not include rent income yet. But not selling it as it is a great place to retire to.
If you are not yet sure of the area, then yes, rent first. Once you find the fit, makes sense to buy.

buying a condo or build a house in se-asia is always a BIG risk and most of the times a pretty bad "investment" , and in the end u are pretty stuck there with problems and sometimes alot of stress.
Better to RENT so u have freedom to move and relocate and money in the bank, day trader account.

Too many condos for rent or for sale. Always competing with builders. Very difficult to sell if need to. Anyway if one would really like to buy, MAKE SURE buy with parking space.

@yolandamarsh1329 Whoever told you that it's all wrong. Per Philippine Constitution Foreigners are not allowed to own a PIECE OF LAND in the Philippines. Foreigners can buy/own Vehicles, Condo Units, Appliances but never a Piece of Land. The only way they can use a Piece of Land is to get it on a LEASE for 25 yrs. and renewable for another 25 yrs. Or if a Foreigner is married to a Pilipino Citizen.

Nah, foreign nationals can definitely buy condominium units in the Philippines and other personal properties like cars & jewelries and have these properties legally under their name. Foreigners though are not allowed to buy land but they can lease land and even build a house on it or maybe rent/lease a house & lot or do some other arrangement with a local! It's only real estate properties like land that foreigners are not allowed to purchase & own directly by a foreigner but they're definitely allowed to buy and own a condo unit as many as they want!
