I'm glade to see some of these buildings America has had some fairly bland architecture, we love be square penis building, which have their place but some variation is very nice.
I liked a lot of the designs shown in this video, but their plans for the Hirshhorn fall into some kind of architectural uncanny valley. It's just... ew.
unless theres a space for the average joe or jane to show or make work in these new museums, they will just be impressive big glassy, smooth tributes to elitism and business as usual. the open plan will probably intimidate the cities marginal and poor ppl, paradoxically by posing as democratic while stinking of big money
It's not just in the US that is needed a new approach on art and architecture, everywhere, new projects, new visions stimulate the new generations...
I like the modern 21st century aesthetic thinking and really great ideas.
