  • Speedloads was on location at the SIG Sauer academy a few months ago to get all the details on SIG's all-new line of rifle suppressors. Here's the breakdown; two new lines have been introduced, and they're known as the SLX (SIG Low toX) and SLH (SIG Low-tox Hybrid) line.
    The SLX series of rifle suppressors utilize a multi-flow path within the SLX suppressors, allowing gasses to exhaust at a faster rate than traditional baffle style suppressors. This means a 70-80% reduction in toxic fumes flowing back through the ejection port into the shooter's face. The SLX series is a performance based suppressor designed for use with supersonic ammunition and is ideal for those putting a premium on flash reduction and reduction of toxic fumes.
    The SLH series of rifle suppressors also feature an internal multi flow path with a focus on sound reduction, while also reducing up to 50% of the toxic fumes venting through the ejection port and charging handle area. The SLH is ideal for users that use both supersonic and subsonic ammunition, and are optimized for sound reduction.
    Both lines are available as direct thread mounting, or the companies revolutionary Clutch-Lok system that locks the suppressor up tight to the muzzle device and will not carbon lock on.

    You're a big hero of mine Tom! I respect your vast knowledge and expertise and appreciate all your teaching, especially on the Outdoor Channel and G&A show/magazine! I just purchased an SLH7.62TI-QD in FDE from Sig (my 6th Sig Sauer suppressor and number 11 overall), now I just have to wait for at least 5 months until I can get it. I love Sig products and if you endorse them, then I know I've made the right choice! It goes without saying that you're awesome!

    Excellent video brother. Have a Rattler in .566 and ended up grabbing a .300 blackout barrel. Am currently looking to get an SLH to do some range and tactical training and feel like suppressed would benefit the amount and length of training and also be able to understand range, recoil, and other characteristics as a result of running the gun suppressed while working. Great work and only thing better than a Rattler will be a suppressed Rattler👍

    Very informative video. Much better than the cryptic pages on SIG's websites. SLX = low toxicity, SLH = Hybrid (with traditional baffles and some pass-through designs around the annular part of the can). Got it.
    Question: Would the SLH-QD work on the 5.56 Clutch-Lok flash hiders? In other words, would the SLH 762-QD work on the MCX Spear LT 5.56 with the factory Clutch-Lok flash hider?

    • @cops312

      Yes the clutch lock flash hiders have the same diameter for lock up on 30 cal or 5.56 cans.

    How do these suppressors perform with the Rattler or the 6.75 tacops in 300BLK? I'm looking to run a suppressor but do not want to deal with a whole lot of gas to the face.

    • @speedloads2469
      @speedloads2469  2 роки тому +1

      I'd recommend using the SLH; it's a hybrid suppressor designed specifically to work with the 300BLK and offers just the right amount of blowback to reliably operate both of the guns you mentioned.

    Fantastic Video. I eat a lot of crayons so this is exactly my speed (purple is my favorite) I am looking for the lowest flash signature possible for a 7.62NATO DMR (Sig 716i) Would I be correct in assuming the SLH would be better than SLX? Most sealed centerfire rifle cans can go 30-60K rounds without cleaning depending on weapon host and ammo. If you somehow hit that round count contact Sig, they should be able to 3D print a whole new baffle stack onto your serialized collar.

    • @speedloads2469
      @speedloads2469  2 роки тому

      @plattner01, you are correct sir. Centerfire rifle cans from reputable companies, when used with quality ammunition will outlast numerous barrels. At some point you'll notice an increase in weight, but the suppressor will continue to do it's job. The only cans I recommend cleaning are .22LR rimfire.

    SIG is on a ROLL! Great M7 battle rifle, great M250 medium MG, both with this excellent suppressor with a complex, effective "printed" baffle design.
    ->And then there is SIG's "Level Plex" illuminated horizontal reticle end triangles that light up when the rifle it tilted left or right,
    Also SIG/SAUER has a civilian rifle scope with a BLUETOOTH receiver that will light the proper vertical hold dot WHEN THE SIG RANGE FINDER BINOCULARS ARE USED. Naturally they must be programmed to your specific load ballistics. The scope reticle is SECOND focal plane to utilize the BLUETOOTHed rangefinder but hey. it's for hunting, not target use.

      Hi @Bradley Perkins, I lit this shot to offer the utmost in transparency. Good eyes, but with the lights turned out, the most flash we observed was comparable to a sushi stick. The flash suppression was very similar to SureFire's excellent SOCOM suppressors, of which, I am also a fan of.
