Imagine surviving for so long, going through so much just to stay alive, and finally making it to Luke's New Jedi Order, only to be killed by some teenager with anger issues
I get that, but I do like that Disney is controlling because then we avoid some of the dumber stories that happened in Legends. Problem was that Legends suffered from too many cooks, it had some amazing stories that I would kill to be added into new canon, but then it also had some seriously bad fanfiction-like stories which we're far better off not having such as Palpatine's secret other apprentice who was totally just offscreen and could sense Vader's emotional state better than Palpatine, or the time post-episode 6 Han and Luke attempted to openly murder each other over trying to impress a pretty girl while ignoring a literal child kidnapping that had happened.
Honestly, I seem to like the Star Wars canon lore better off in film, and not the legends. Star Wars itself is a pretty dark story, so I do see where you are coming from
There needs to be a K’krunk appreciation video. Most underrated badass Jedi in existence. Dude survives the first reveal of Greivous on Hypori, survives some of the Clone War's toughest battles, survives Order 66 (and saves several younglings), survives the entire Galactic Civil War, Yuuzchan Vong War and Second Galactic Civil War ANNNNNNND goes on to meet/teach Cade Skywalker (distant nephew of Luke Skywalker) and he still survives even after all that. His current status is alive in Legends.
Nintendo Switch anyone? It's been a while since you haven't posted a video, great video! I'm actually glad these padawans survived order 66, I don't think Palpatine could sense them anyway. I know he can sense from afar, but as long as a certain has a Dark Side connection (Exar Kun from Yavin IV), Palpatine shouldn't be able to sense any.
K'kruhk has always been my favorite jedi, there's just something awesome about a character who's not the most powerful and nearly gets killed in numerous stories but always recovers and keeps fighting. I never knew how his story was meant to end though, so this was a really cool video to see.
I really appreciate your videos on this and other Star Wars topics. You are informative, detailed and your selections of visuals only help to educate your viewers. Well done, sir.
When you really think about it. This is basically the equivalent to all the staff in a normal school just taking out a gun and wrecking havoc on the children.
Nah. It's the equivalent of a bunch of schoolkids on a field trip needing a pit stop at an army base, and then the troops just whipping out guns and weeding out the weak.
@@stormisuedonym4599 nah. It's the equivalent of some soldiers visiting a school for a day to talk about military careers, and then using the kids as target practice
K’kruuk is probably one of the most underrated Jedi masters, Grievous cuts him down and he goes to hibernation, watches as The Clone Wars ends/ Order 66 happens and kills the clones while protecting the younglings, joins luke skywalkers new Jedi order and helps train as well! All I got to say is he’s the ultimate OG master
Wow, every order 66 story weather movie, animation, tv show and comic.....always hits me hard in the gut. Such tragic stories YET so freakin good. We need more order 66 content.
One thing we always forget: I feel bad for the clones. They have no say in taking the order. If and I remember correctly, there are implants that prevent the clones from disobeying orders.
That was added later. In the original EU stuff, there were clones who outright said no to Order 66, and even killed clones who attempted to carry it out. They had free will. They CHOSE to murder Jedi and Younglings. The fact a clone actually asked about the Younglings proves as much. If they had inhibitor chips here, they would have opened fire as soon as 66 was issued.
@@TimedRevolver if you think about the fact that they were made to be loyal to the republic and have pretty much just known that it makes some sense but still messed up that they'd just kill people they knew and were good with especially kids
The clone army being a slave army with limited independence is just as sad (if not even sadder) than being a more independent army with inhibitor-chips implanted. In Legends/the EU, the clones had free will, because they weren't brainwashed but indoctrinated (take the people of North Korea as a real life example, they have free will seeing they aren't mind controlled but they are thought to obey and don't know how not to). From birth, the clones were trained to be one cohesive unit and fully dependent on a command structure. So if a higher ranking officer gave them an order, they followed it. But they were able to think negatively of the order but they were so indoctrinated that they just followed orders due to them not realizing they had the choice to disobey. This is why Palpatine actually made the Jedi generals during the Clone Wars, because simply said the Jedi were arrogant and were terrible at leading armies. The bad choices of many Jedi to lead to a large number of pointless casualties. And mistakes aside the Jedi were more then willing to sacrifice clone lives seeing they were considered less seeing they were not part of the natural order of the force. Because of these character flaws and lack of military experience the clones started to resent them and were more eager to execute their orders (and the jedi). in "Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader - Part II: The Emperor's Emissary" Vader is even tasked to hunt down Clones that disobeyed. In it Palpatine says: Contagion brought about by fighting alongside the Jedi for so many years. Clone or otherwise, there is only so much a being can be programmed to do. Sooner or later even a lowly trooper will become the sum of his experiences. This was especially true amongst the Arc-Troopers and Clone commandos, who were less heavily indoctrinated so they can function more independently than regular clone troopers when cut off from the command structure. The regular clones were also genetically modified to be more obedient and less independent than Jango Fett. An inhibitor-chip can be removed from a clone's brain and he will suddenly disobey Order 66 but indoctrination since birth is very difficult/challenging to overcome. Besides, most Jedi and clones had a pure business relationship and only a few had strong bonds.
Space wizard using laser swords are fantasy and childish in nature, but that doesn't necssary it can't be enjoy from *a certain point of view*. Those aren't mutually exclusive.
Excellent video my Star Wars Brother. Luv the writing from this era of the EU. Stories like this and many of the Comics from this era helped make me a Star Wars fan. Luv your work; thanks for keeping the "Legends" alive for us all.

Clone: all right stand still then
AND NOT JUST CHILDREN...BUT THE CHILDREN AND THE CHILDREN TOO! *I HATE THEM!!*
Shoulda used different words for each lmao: AND NOT JUST THE CHILDREN... BUT THE YOUNGLINGS! AND THE KIDS TOO!
@@YokaiX i slaughtered them like infants!
That was stupid
THEY ARE CHILDREN! AND I SLAUGHTERED THEM LIKE CHILDREN!
Is it possible to learn this power?
Not from a child...
I hate children. They're coarse and rough and irritating... and they get everywhere.
It's over Anakin! I have the child!
You underestimate my child!
The ability to speak does not make one a child.
It's children, then...
Good relations with the children, I have.
Child Wars: Revenge of the children.
Roc and Ks: This is the Jedi we like. He saved the kids with all of his rage. He didn't let emotions get in the way, and thus lived. Say all you want, but we believe when you are fighting for your life, you have a good reason to go in rage to defend yourself.
This takes the term “school shooting” to another level
lets be real...anakin walking into the jedi temple is basically a school shooting
Clones: start equipping themselves and loading guns*
Kackrook: somethings wrong I can feel it
@@jfournerat1274 corrction: this comment was from four years ago and i do not really care thanks. Hahaha lalala hee hee hoo hoo
I just don't understand how this channel doesn't have 1 million subs already... These videos are absolutely amazing!
Imagine surviving for so long, going through so much just to stay alive, and finally making it to Luke's New Jedi Order, only to be killed by some teenager with anger issues
It's nice to hear about the survivors every now and then
"Even the younglings?"
Thinks to self: Damn thats cold
"Copy that"
"Even the younglings?"
" *Especially* the younglings."
Must've been Skywalker on the other end.
I really wish Disney wasn’t so controlling with their authors because I miss the dark stories from legends.
@@bainbonic i feel like there would just be a ton of conflicting stories at once
@@bainbonic Now all the stories get to be dumb, thanks Disney!
Honestly, I seem to like the Star Wars canon lore better off in film, and not the legends. Star Wars itself is a pretty dark story, so I do see where you are coming from
@@bainbonic man id like to agree, but then there is the new trilogy
What does the Nintendo switch have anything to do with this?
The fact that the clone trooper even asked about the younglings showed he hesitated. :(
Nice to be seeing more Legends content.
K'kruhk has always been my favorite jedi, there's just something awesome about a character who's not the most powerful and nearly gets killed in numerous stories but always recovers and keeps fighting. I never knew how his story was meant to end though, so this was a really cool video to see.
Atleast they lived long enough to bring their knowledge of the Jedi Ways to The New Jedi Order.
YES!!!! I've always loved K'Kruhk, thanks for another great video
Title: when order 66 was issued in school
Anakin: laughs in sith
Clone Trooper: don't worry kids, we're gonna protect you, ju-
*Order 66 online*
Clone Trooper: *Just like the simulations*
Blasters Automatic fires.
I really appreciate your videos on this and other Star Wars topics. You are informative, detailed and your selections of visuals only help to educate your viewers.
Well done, sir.
People: America's school shootings are awful
The clones at the youngling schools: allow us to introduce ourselves
Just when you thought the youngling killing part couldn't get any darker.
"Watch out for those light sabers!"
Palpatine: "Oh yeah, everythings all coming together"
That story needs to be a video series. I'd love to watch the adventures they had in more detail about living life in isolation.
I know it's legend but I'm glad not all younglings were slayed during Order 66!
George Lucas: Star wars is made for kids.
Star Wars:Siblings kiss each other and kids are massacred.
Star wars is still the best though
When you really think about it. This is basically the equivalent to all the staff in a normal school just taking out a gun and wrecking havoc on the children.
Well, You heard about the US school that gave each classroom a bucket of rocks to fend off against school shootings right?
Palpatine just did such evil things to both the Jedi and the Clones by forcing them to fight each other.
I can’t believe Disney brought back Emperor
A man chooses, a slave obeys. Or let me help you a jedi serves, and a clones does a dog does what its told to...
Jedi shouldn’t have made a slave army to listen to every command
k'kruhk is badass!
I wonder what was that jedi's final form. he probably can be unstoppable since he can unleash beast mode
NextGenJ lol😂
Thank you so much for this video. It was uploaded during some of the darkest days of my life.
When I'm down, I always love to hear about some good ol' clone-troopers killing kids
“Hmmm Anakin, like some mashed potato younglings I would.”
~ Yoda Dec. 30 2019
I turned the younglings into mashed potatoes. Not just the children but the men and women too
One thing we always forget:
I feel bad for the clones.
@@TimedRevolveroh no! The chip is making me kill the heckin jedirino!
In it Palpatine says:
Contagion brought about by fighting alongside the Jedi for so many years.
Well now you have my attention.
Youngling survivors: *joins new Jedi Order*

Kylo Ren doesn't exist in Legends, the younglings here survived
