10:15 look at the center of the rear tire. There's your problem!

Great video and it is good to see another UK UA-camr doing Bolens videos. We have a large Bolens collection and have done a number of Bolens videos, some may be helpful for your project. We did a video on the Bolens drive pin as this is something we are often asked about. We are working on a Bolens 600 at the moment but the project has needed to go on hold for a while. Looking forward to following your restoration

If You have any questions, let me know, or watch my you tube videos of 1962 Bolens husky 600. I have one issue with your trailer hitch. The original 62 has a hitch, cast with the rear end as 1 piece. The fact that You unbolted the rear hitch tells me that the rear end is newer than 62. My 750 and 1254 have a bolt-on hitch.
It looks as if they snapped off the original hitch, then tapped through to the transmission. There should not be trans fluid leaking from those bolts. My suggestion is to insert studs like the 750.
It will help, long term, to keep some grease on the locking pin and the two plates that rub against each other. This is necessary to keep things working.
My experience is that many of these tractors were pieced together with interchangeable parts, over the years. It is possible that You have a 750 rear end, on a 600. Keep in mind that people sold these under the name 600 for higher value. It could have multiple parts from different years

We have this tractor and it has a broken rod. It happened a number of years ago and I don't remember the details. What is the location of this rod and is it easily repaired?
