I use moon gel on my low volume cymbalys, one one or two little pieces, it doesn't reduce de sound but they sound clearly, specally on the ride. if you put a lot of them then you lose the propierties of the holes and then they sound more noisy and also the sound is poor

How do these compare on volume to the L80s. I prefer the sound of these but wonder if that's due to them being louder??
These has slightly more "bite" and a bit more volume (not much) - but the price is so much better!
I bet if you put a bunch of moon gel on them, they'd be even quieter.
What's moon gel? What did you think of the sound from these UFO ones by the way? Thinking of getting some...
