I live in New Zealand and we almost never get any of this stuff, haven't even heard of most of it. I've spent 2 hours jumping between this video and spotify to hear some, I consider that I'm getting a good education here, thank you.
youd be surprised at what you can find , i live in OZ and have a huge collection of psych and prog a lot were from op shops, it is surprising what got released in OZ and NZ
Just the weird oddball stuff left after the rest had been picked over! Damn!!! I guess the Eagles, Lynryd Skynrd, Fleetwood Mac and ABBA records were cleaned out. Oh well! WOW! What a haul!
Oh man. I've gotten numb to UA-cam vinyl people claiming they got the score of a lifetime and it's all common Beatles records. I was not prepared for this. Amazing stuff! Jealous of the Remains and all those 13th Floor Elevator records. Actually I'm jealous of everything.
I’am 68 and most of your LP’s your showing are all from my youth when theses albums were released I took it for granted, now 50 years later it’s great that they are collectible. I brought many LP’s from 1962 to around 1990 and my kids will get them when I meet my maker, they love the music too. Long live rock & roll
You are clearly a true digger. No one does the heavy homework to get this kinda stuff THIS consistently. Blown away everytime and you really deserve it. Hard work pays off, D. TooDaLoo!
Jeeezus! The Remains mono promo, Bubble Puppy, Small Faces and Easter Everywhere! I'd faint if I found those anywhere. Will have to keep an eye out for The Love Exchange. My main digs are garage-psych. That one has some killer organ and guitar sounds. "In the Land of the Few" by Love Sculpture is killer psych fuzz rock. Love the "?" and The Kinks too. Been trying to get all the Kinks on Pye and in mono.
Sick small faces finds!! And as someone from Texas, love that you go for all the International artist stuff- I've even see a promo copy of A Gathering of promises out hunting, and own two original copies of Easter Everywhere (one of which still had the oh so hard to find lyric inner!). Awesome haul there my man.
Dylan, I'm often jealous watching you go though your hauls, but this one made me super jealous! What an amazing bunch of records, man, just incredible, congrats. Just curious, have you ever had a seller get buyers remorse? I had a guy who called me a week after I bought his collection and asked for it back! Was wondering if you've experienced that one. Take care!
What a great job to have-buy all these amazin' rare records that no one ever sees 'n decide which ones to keep 'n which ones to sell! I must say this lot was an amazin' find. I was in the used record business for decades 'n can really relate to you enthusiasm 'n good fortune. Steve Hillage-Fish Risin'-one o' the all time greats. He was guitarist for Gong before goin' solo.
HOW WERE THESE THE ONES PEOPLE DIDN'T BUY??? This is an insane haul! I'm loving stuff like the pristine Kinks (my favorite band), Stones, and Small Faces, but even more excited about Shocking Blue - "At Home" (they had so many great songs other than "Venus") and Love Sculpture - "Forms And Feelings" (Dave Edmunds shredding and giving the world a preview of power metal before he switched to roots rock).
Besides the amazing LPs you picked up, your enthusiasm is contagious! I live about three hours from you, so I just might head down there and check out your store. Thank you for another great post! Cheers!
Hey out of all the record channels I watch I like yours the best! You are really down to earth and know what you are talking about and love what you do! Love the channel and seeing all your finds!
Just found this video. Wonderful journey you just took me on. I felt your excitement for everything you went through and super envious that you got to look through them as if you had opened Aladdin’s cave. Keep searching and keep posting!!!
Great haul Dillon , lots of great records and I wish I could walk down the street and hit your record store. I would definitely buy some of those records up, stay safe and take care, Cheers Snowy
Wow!!! The Zombies, The Remains, Deep Purple, 13th Floor Elevators, The Band, Johnny Cash, Nick Drake, John Prine, The Stone Roses, The Slits, X, Brian Eno... Sweet, sweet haul! Congrats!
I’ve just found your channel in the last few days and watched a bunch of your videos, but this one in particular blew me away. I need to get a record fair or something soon! What a haul you got. If I wasn’t a few thousand miles away I’d pop in the shop and say hi 😊
Did the same thing a few years back found a guy who had lived in the same place for 60 years had been a record collector since about 1965 he had everything came upon a streak of bad luck got two DUI's in the same month and to pay for all the court fines he pieced out the most amazing collection I'd ever seen I went over to his house which had an add on that he built just to store his records and cleaned him out over the course of several weeks not something that happens everyday nice finds man
Yes, agree with much of your choice. Would have put Deep Purple, In Rock, in honourable mentions and yes, Rush a fantastic rock band but Moving Pictures was released in 1981.
Really loved watching this.I am in the U.K.In Dec 1986 I was at a Jesus and Mary Chain gig in London and I met a girl from Charlotte N.C. and we exchanged addresses.By August 1987 I was in Charlotte (aged 24) enjoying the hospitality of the Charlotte punkers.Buying records at Milestone records and going to see bands and eating White Cross pills. My best friends there were Clay Rogers of Social Savagery and Bill Cates of early Antiseen.I had to return to the U.K. because I was denied a visa extension.I sold lots of U.K. Punk vinyl to survive.Great to hear your accent on here man,and great information too!.
I saw the ‘Dead Milkmen’ at the Milestone club,I was so twisted on White Cross I have no recollection of it. Milestone records had some fantastic stuff, including U.K. punk stuff, shit,I miss Charlotte sometimes.
Dillon, bro...There’s so much drool all over my keyboard and screen, especially when you got into some of those old punk records. Damn, dude! How did people pass by that stuff? As far as I’m concerned, you got the good stuff!
The Last "L.A. Explosion" is amazing - and is something I was completely unaware of until I read John Doe's books about the early L.A. punk scene. I bought a copy of the cd from the Last when I saw the 40th Anniversary performance of the album at Alex's Bar in Long Beach. Tracked down the LP a short while later. Super cool.
Recent fan, love your videos. I have a record store in the UK, Noiseisforheroes in Leeds... I get a lot of punk etc, but keep it varied in the store. The USA psyche stuff is amazing, I dream about those... That Bubble Puppy, ouch!!!! I like how you point out how some of the greatest records are totally affordable... I tell folks that all the time... Anyway, I'm waiting for the phone to ring, stay safe....
1) “Sweet Burnt” is a perfect description of your accent. 2) “Made brownies downstairs” made me almost spit my coffee. 3) keeping G.P. In the shrink? But what about that killer gatefold picture of an 18-wheeler?
Noble Records, I’ve got a G.P. (Seriously though, why does it even have a gatefold for that pic?) Great record, but I still like Grievous Angel better. All these are killer! The Nico, the Slits, and Buzzcocks ones are what I’m most envious of...well, Easter Everywhere, but I know you’re never giving that up. Ironically, that record is nowhere to be found. Like you said, any time I’ve ever even sniffed out a lead on one it’s been gone before I even knew about it.
Lmmfao as well on the Almost made brownies! Just putting a feeler out! I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find anything on my Sandy Hook pressing of Linda Lovelaces "Deep Throat" original soundtrack sealed! Curious on value! And is it just gag, gag, gag for the duration of the Album? Lmmfao! I've looked through gazillions of records in my 30 yrs of collecting vinyl, first copy I've ever seen!
So so good. I had a reissue, used to listen to it all the time, haven’t spun it in a while, but I’ve listened to this one about 3 times this week! Amazing stuff!
The documentary on Bobby Liebling is amazing. Thanks for shearing. It really looks like this guy who was a Pentagram fan and did this video saved Bobby s life. Happy holidays, stay healthy. Olivier
VF’s Kingdom Come was the offspring of Arthur Brown’s Kingdom Come, and that record was self released in 1975. If the cover is silk screened you have the real deal. Also nice Charley Patton box set in the background.
I'm jealous of the Nick Drake record in the thumbnail. Saw one sell on ebay about a month ago for over 2 grand. Would love to find an original copy but not until I win the lottery first.
"I don't know man, it's pretty much just all the weird obscure stuff that's left"....."oh dang...yeah that's kind of a bumm….WHAT'S THE ADDRESS" ha ha. Man!! How was this stuff left behind!? You scored awesome buddy, wow. I enjoyed a cup of coffee through the video, and then filled it back up with drool haha. Congrats man - all the best to ya!
Hi from the UK. Never heard of the Remains until now. Don't Look Back is great. By the way, it looks like you got the original inner sleeve with the Decca Small Faces.
I would wager a hefty bet that most of the stuff that you describe as being bought in Amsterdam was bought at the Utrecht record fair which isn’t far from Amsterdam. If you ever get the chance then get Utrecht , it’s the biggest fair in the world , it’s incredible , in fact it’s too big really but attracts sellers from every corner of the world , European , U.K. , S. American , N. American , Oz
Seeing this one a year after the fact, but wow, so much in this particular vinyl haul is similar to my own tastes. I saw Pere Ubu go by, I don’t see their vinyl too often - as you mentioned. Faust, I’ve listening to since my late high school years in the early eighties. The band was paid to live in a house together in Germany in the early seventies and experiment with hours and hours of tape. They’re odd, experimental Krautrock, but with a sense of humor. Faust was a very early signing to Virgin Records. I have the one you found; clear vinyl, but not in a clear package. You flew by another favorite, The Monochrome Set - “Love Zombies.” Love Zombies is the record title, not the band as you said - that’s okay. That’s a good band, especially early on. Anyhow, enjoying the videos. I am in Atlanta, but I will have to come up to the store later this year.
I have notice you keep all your albums in plastic (of course as do I) but I also noticed you keep your records on the outside of the the jacket but inside the plastic. I am guessing this is to limit the possibility of damaging the jacket when wanting to use the record? Am I correct about that? Also do you have the records in a anti-static plastic while inside the jacket plastic. It’s a great idea and I will be stealing it. Thanks.
I was playing at that Group 1850 album on UA-cam, and looked at the comments. Amazingly, Dolf Geldorf is still around, and replies to a comment about the album originally being available only in the department store that owned the record label. Evidently, in 1969, money talked!
That's correct. It was a departement store's own brand of vinyl. Most of the records they produced aren't worth a whole lot, but there are some exceptions like this one.
Living in the Bible belt, I feel like there is just too much church music and country. Every kid's Sabbath record had to be stored under the porch so it's destroyed now.
That copy of raw power is a gem. I’ll have to follow you on insta to find out when either of the copies you said about go up. May have to take the trip from Pittsburgh to get it.
Maybe someone mentioned it but I never see anyone point out the Brenton wood version of Psychotic Reaction which is pretty much just Brenton and his keyboard player playing over The Count Fives track, like they snuck in the studio or something. They were both on Double Shot so it seems feasible. Was always curious how that came about. Fuckin sick haul btw.
Hey Man! Just wanted to give you more info on the GTOs Permanent Damage album! I'll just go into a brief history, they were a group of girls that were put together of course by Frank Zappa. They were also groupies in the LA scene in the late 60s, one of them being the most famous groupie of all time, Miss Pamela Des Barres! She wrote amazing best seller books, has been with the biggest rock legends, and to this day is a very lovely woman, who also happens to be a friend of mine! ^_^ Another lady in the group, and a former friend of mine was Miss Mercy, who unfortunately passed away not too long ago, one of the funniest souls ive ever met! Going back to the album, Zappa brought the girls together and had them write their own songs, with little to no music experience, and would also bring in top names at the time to help record the album, like Rod Stewart, Jeff Beck, etc. Of course a lot of these tracks have different stories as well, like their last track "I'm In Love With The Ooh Ooh Man", written and sung by Pamela, was about Nick St. Nicholas, of Steppenwolf! Other tracks like simple spoken word stuff talks about memories on the Sunset Strip scene! Anyway what you have there is a really really good record, that I myself own as well, a little chewed up, but signed by Pamela and Mercy! Additional Fact: One of the girls, in that album is Miss Christine, the one with the big curly poofy hair! She is the lady on the cover of Zappa's "Hot Rats" album!
Cool, funny to see Dutch records so far abroad. Have all the Shocking Blue ones, couldn't really get into the Group 1850 record though, had it in my thrift for months, sold for about 25 euros if I remember correctly.
@@MrKelleyzinho Some of the Dutch beat and psych is also very rare over here haha. But some bands are more common to find. Almost all Earth and Fire records are only a few euro's for example. Maybe 7,50 tops for the record with the cool cover. But stuff like the Outsiders or Q65 can be very expensive.
I meant no disrespect. I can tell you work your arse off. You very much deserve the payoff! Get you some rest, dude. Thanks for taking the time to do these videos. They're awesome!
It definitely depends on where u live as to whether something is super rare or not. I picked up a first press copy of P Now by Group 1850 last month from eBay uk for under 20 dollars. However, you could wait 20 years to see Bubble Puppy. Great haul.
You would cream your jeans if you ever saw my record and CD collection. Many of what you found are in my playlists. I always did like Love Sculpture and Dave Edmunds.
You got lucky there havent had a decent haul for a while. Had a few decent 7inch 45 buys on soul. Wheres your store got to visit US after Covid shite ends!
Very cool haul. Chamaeleon Church is the stuff I live for! I don't care about the Chevy connection, it's a lovely record for my taste. Don't see this kind of stuff in collections around here. Easter Everywhere is one of those few OGs I truly want to have some day.
I live in New Zealand and we almost never get any of this stuff, haven't even heard of most of it. I've spent 2 hours jumping between this video and spotify to hear some, I consider that I'm getting a good education here, thank you.

Sure was! Oddly enough,I've got several of the band's he's got! Picked them up because they were obscure, with funky artwork!
Easily the best and most educational vinyl channel on youtube, I see old favorite and new stuff I need to check out!
Thank you! I try!

Frijid Pink and The Frost, some killer Michigan Psych/Blues rock right there!
This is one of your best hauls yet. So many iconic albums in great shape.

It’s great!

Hells bell;s what a haul, i would have freaked !
I really like the first three Earth & Fire albums.
Cool, funny to see Dutch records so far abroad. Have all the Shocking Blue ones, couldn't really get into the Group 1850 record though, had it in my thrift for months, sold for about 25 euros if I remember correctly.
Dutch garage psych is the best. Very rare in the US.
Holy cow! Some sweet stuff there.🤙
Thanks!
Best psych haul you had in a while
Yes for sure!!!
I want those DEVO records!! Seriously. How do I get those off your hands man?
What a haul!! 🤤 I wish this stuff would fall in my lap as easily as it does yours. Lol
Haha you have no idea how much I drive hours and hours. I’m always digging, for the past 20 years, I barely sleep. It never just falls in my lap.
I meant no disrespect. I can tell you work your arse off. You very much deserve the payoff! Get you some rest, dude. Thanks for taking the time to do these videos. They're awesome!
No offense taken! Thanks man
Fantastic stuff in a great video. If you decide to sell those JANE & EARTH and FIRE LPs via internet, I am really interested.
Keep rockin' !!!!
Ok I’ll keep you in mind!
It definitely depends on where u live as to whether something is super rare or not. I picked up a first press copy of P Now by Group 1850 last month from eBay uk for under 20 dollars. However, you could wait 20 years to see Bubble Puppy. Great haul.
Yes for sure 🤣
I got that one too, but I think it is this one:

16:12 Steve Hillage Fish Rising is a fantastic album
Also got a old beaties album 1962
You would cream your jeans if you ever saw my record and CD collection. Many of what you found are in my playlists. I always did like Love Sculpture and Dave Edmunds.
Same here! Ive only seen that 'ribbon' copy of Joy Division's "Still" once in my life...and I shoulda grabbed it🤦♂️
INCREDIBLE
Thank you!
Oh, I'm sure you figured it by now, but the Faust is the Recommended Records reissue.
Yeah the sickle logo is a dead giveaway
Noble Records BTW, the pronunciation is “fowst,” which means fist in German. One of the truly extraordinary Krautrock bands.
Thanks man! I’ll have to listen to chameleon church again and see how it is. It’s been a while.
Now I can subscribe to this channel
