Before coming to China, the media coverage on China l had come across was usually negative. Many people in my country including me mistakenly believed that China was a poor country, where there was only oppression without freedom. But when l came to China, l found China is AMAZING! l dare say China is better than the West in many ways.Modernization, convenience, hospitality, safety, all of these has left a positive impression on me. So l told my families and friends that it was only after I came to China l deeply appreciated how excellent China has developed.

You never know how evil the Communist Party is ...
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is super good at fooling , bullying and oppressing their own people more than any other communist countries , which is absolutely beyond your imagination .
What the CCP really cares about is their Party and regime more than anything else instead of Chinese people ....
CCP is the tragedy maker and the source of suffering of chinese people
CCP demolishes your house and confiscates your properties without your permission
They harvest your organs to extend their officials' lives
They delete all negative comments unbeneficial to them on chinese social medias , they just allow you to see the good and positive sides beneficial to their regimes
They build firewalls to block Google, Twitter, YT , FB and Instagram etc. and stop Chinese from knowing the truth of the outside world ... they're scared of Chinese people knowing the truth and destabilize their regime
They put the dissenters in jail if you tell the truth
You have no any channel to sue or claim your rights and justice no matter what they did to you .... because the evil CCP is the law and rule maker, they can take anything from you without taking any responsibilities ....
As their chinese Prime Minister said there are still more than 600 million chinese still starving and their monthly income is less than $145 .... you can image these facts ...
CCP offers scholarships to these foreign students , these students are also afraid to unveil the negative sides of CCP when they're studying and living in China ....
The longer you live there... the more evil you can see ...

I envy you so much. In my 40s being a Taiwan born Chinese never set foot on the mainland, my lifelong dream is to travel through all the cities and regions in China. It would be amazing experience to actually see the origin of my own culture and witness the advances that modern China has made. Western media has been systematically demonizing China to portrait China as barbaric and uncivilized which made me sick to my stomach. It's awesome to see the real people who have been to China exposing the lies of the western media.

The strategic goal of high speed rail is not for the rail system itself to be profitable but to drive economic growth in the regions and areas that the rail networks reach. Also, affordable, efficient, fast and eventually ubiquitous rail transportation networks will discourage more and more people from driving personal cars so to help reduce vehicular traffic, reduce gasoline consumption, etc.

Is the debt worth it? I say it is! Remember, China is rich! The US has a huge debt too and the government still loves to spend so much money, while not building a national high speed network like China has. It’s funny how our excuse for not building one is size when China has shown that size doesn’t matter and built a huge network anyway. And we claim the trains will “go to nowhere” yet many places in America have grown because of trains, because the country built railways before highways. If you build it, they will come. The people of China should be grateful to have a system like this. Because going between Kunming and Guiyang for that kind of a deal is amazing! This HSR is both a gift and a service to the people. It helps unify urban and rural areas big time.

Regarding the issue of Chinese people making loud noises that can disturb foreigners, let me share my perspective. China has experienced rapid development in a short period of time. However, it is not possible for individual habits to change overnight. I am already in my forties, and by the time our generation and those from the 1980s are no longer around, many of the habits that modern people criticize will naturally disappear. Our generation has witnessed the development of China. In the past, China had a large population, and in crowded places, it was natural for people to speak loudly. Moreover, the living standards during that era were not high, so things that seem problematic now were not considered issues back then. After all, even basic needs were difficult to fulfill, and many basic needs were the actual problems. As living standards improve, people will have higher-level needs, and with needs comes awareness. Being conscious of how one's behavior can cause discomfort to others, people will gradually change some of the undesirable habits in their lives.

Just one correction: 5:08 They will not put you in jail simply because you smoke on the train. The word 拘留 on the board means detention.
If a person smoke on the train and refuse to stop when being asked, he might be retained for 5 days (or 10 days for more severe problem). He will be put in a hostel-like building, and follow the daily schedule. Besides sleep and eat, he will need to watch tv (mostly about safety lessons), do physical exercise, and some other boring but potentially can improve his behavior things. I think this is the best way to deal with such behavior - not too much, not too little.

In fact, if you understand modern economic theory, you don't think these high-speed trains are a liability at all. On the other hand, it is not a liability but an asset, which can be used as collateral for more loans to the bank. And all you have to pay is a little bit of interest. This is the same as the national debt of the United States, which is $31 trillion in debt, but it is still the richest country in the world. High-speed rail is the same, it has a lot of liabilities, but it has more assets

Warm water can pass through cell membranes, promote metabolism and circulation in the body, and help stimulate gastrointestinal motility, smooth bowel movements, and even eliminate stools. When waking up in the morning, the human body’s Qi and blood circulate in the meridians of Hand Yangming Large Intestine Meridian and Foot Yangming Stomach Meridian. Drinking warm water at this time can help detoxify the stomach, intestines, and urinary system. In particular, from the perspective of Chinese medicine, the immune system of Chinese medicine is the "righteousness" of the human body. Drinking warm water in the morning is the secret of "nourishing righteousness", that is, regulating the immune system!🥰

About the hot water belief in China, me as a chinese could offer you the answer.
Surprisingly, the habit of chinese people taking hot water is not very long formed but started from the begining of Korean War, not very long after the foundation of PRC, when american led so called "UN Army" had already conquered the majority of North Corea.and some of their troops had approached the Yalu river which clarified territory of PRC and DPRK, that time, the US army,as the world's most powerful one, looked down very much on newly founded, agrian China, so some of the pilots of the usa frontier air force had bombed the northest territory of china under commands and some were even the bacterial bombs which were taken over from research of japanese imperial army when the WWII end . Given the bad and inadvanced medical condition and lackness of efficient measure against such bacterial attacks, drinking the hot water but not just take-in the unprocessed water was the best solution to fight against the bacterial invasion during that period. Then.even though the Korean war ended, people had indeed found the benefits of hot water in preventing affected varied diseases, so that modern chinese had kept such habit of taking hot water.

The US Highway System has been and always will be indebted due to its perpetuation of low-density single family housing suburbs as well as reliant on fósil fuels to do all the heavy lifting including air travel as well, it's clear to me that china has made the right decision and these trains will demonstrate that if they are planned around development and economic opportunity will far outweigh the construction cost and also help the planet (high speed trains use less than a tenth of energy and emissions as air travel)

AMTraK, the U.S. federal railroad system, has been losing money since 1971. Amtrak admits to a permanent operating loss of US$1 billion (TW$30 billion) per year. "It's so funny, knowing that you have to do it if you want to save your children and grandchildren? Convenience for the people? How nice it sounds! The first is called a face project, and the second is that the government uses major projects to enrich their own pockets. Any country will have these shitty things, but the United States has played it to the max." It's just perfect."
Traveling by train in the U.S. is generally more expensive than flying, as well as intercity train systems in other developed countries, which often have faster trains and better service. But Amtrak, the federally funded company that operates many passenger trains in the U.S., never made money. In fact, the company has a $42 billion repair backlog and won't be able to pay even half of that from ticket sales through 2021. The business is mainly from the densely populated northeast corridor, where tickets are quite expensive.
Riders are slowly recovering from record lows due to the pandemic, and now Amtrak hopes to expand service in a major 15-year plan with $66 billion in funding from a bipartisan infrastructure law.

As a Chinese person, I don't believe that drinking hot water can cure all ailments. In the past, drinking untreated water directly could lead to illness due to the lack of purification and disinfection methods. Therefore, ancient people discovered that consuming boiled water was healthier. Combined with the Chinese tradition of drinking tea, over time, the habit of drinking hot water became prevalent among Chinese people. Whether in any location, drinking hot water is beneficial as it has a physical sterilizing effect. Of course, after boiling, the water should be allowed to cool down to a suitable temperature before consumption

Not to run the trains for profit but to keep the fares cheap n affordable for the masses even if it means the fares dont cover the high maintenance costs of running the trains . This is bcos the chinese govt want to encourage the masses to use the trains They also see the HSR as a necessity to develop n boost the social n economic activites of the regions connected by HSR. which makes the losses incurred n running the trains worth it in their consideration. .

It actually is a connection of all the economic centers around China. Even itself cannot make profit, it will be bring more benefit to the country.

When it comes to the volume of cellphone, young generations definitely use headphones. Old generations sometimes don't have the sense of boundary with others

@@lizzyinchina It's difficult to change one, I've given up, I used do not understand them, but when I come to be an adult, I understand them, so I adjust my attitude, I will never be angry for their "rude", cuz we really developed so fast and so many people you can see, life is from africa to Europe within so less years, so you can only see the behavior of a generation, but do not see the old people, new generation is in the head of bullet train, but old generation is in the bottom.
