Having "grown up" with steam gauges, paper charts and having to do all sorts of mental calculations in my head, I am constantly amazed by the advances in Avionics and the ease and efficiency of using them, for example VNAV as in this video. Engine handling likewise is truly 21st century... and yet, that PT6A up front is essentially the same engine that flew way back in 1961. :)
great to see you back in the air, Steveo. thank you for explaining the procedures while we are flying with you. I always get confuse in my Sim between FLC and VNV I now recognise the difference. Greetings from Australia.
Good Day. Excellent Flight & Commentary as always. I love that you not only give a verbal description of what you are doing with the instruments, but the close up videos of what is actually going on. Safe Travels & Best Regards.
You rock man! I used to follow you a couple years ago and figured I'd check on your channel and watch the most recent video. I'm glad to see that your still making videos. Thank you for all you do.
Most of my adult life I have been pretty much terrified of plane travel. Especially jet planes (for some reason prop planes less so. Dunno why?). Watching your channel over the last several years has pretty much eliminated that fear. Just the soothing way you explain every step and action makes me feel more secure. It's honestly changed my life. Plus, it's just entertaining as hell to watch and listen to you : )
We are headed down to the Sun N Fun with our 14 y/o nephew. We are both very thankful for your video's. I told him last year to start watching your video's to learn how to talk to ATC. Thanks to you he has good confidence and professionalism on the radio's now and is on a good head start towards his aviation career. Keep the video's coming and he's hoping to meet you in person next week.
Great seeing you back on U-Tube and going through your whole flight again. Had one flight in the TBM 930 and loved it. Hope to see more videos. Capt Ben
Thanks for the video Steveo - I'm still not use to 949 Bravo Zulu - but I am warming to it. She is a beautiful plane for sure - hopefully she will remain bullet hole free!
Suuks to be you! lol. No hating or jealousy!!! You have earned all of this! UA-cam is the icing on top of it for you and the rest of us who enjoy you sharing the life with us! This TBM is just amazing! Talk about SMOOTH flying!
Great video and narration! Takes me back a bit to my days flying an F90 (40 years ago!) Loved the PT6 series simplicity and reliability. I'd like to be younger to do it again!
Thanks to your videos, I've learned how to start the Black Square TBM on MSFS. Thank you for making it so straightforward as if I'm able to buy my own TBM 850 to fly one day 😅 fly safe always.
Flying VFR with flight following in south Florida was a challenge for this old man. I’m used to flying in Western NC. Whereit’s quite and no where near the traffic. I swear, the frequency was so busy I couldn’t get a word in. Traffic around Daytona was insane. Had to go offshore to avoid.
Your flights over the vast ocean always make me think of how difficult it would have been for the explorers on slow sail ships discovering all of these islands.
Hope everyone is okay. I sure like your channel i will never be able to learn to fly but man you are professional and i feel like im in the back seat be safe my friend
Thanks Steveo! OMG, The new 940 is the best looking girl on the ramp!! Really like the paint, and love that new 5 blade prop!! There was 1 thing I didn't recognize on the G3000, but I can't remember what it was. LOL Next one. Thanks for the video! --gary
I am a blind flight simmer and I love to do IFR flights on vatsim. I can still do IFR requests for departure, even though I haven’t done them in a while.
That's super cool. I never imagined that someone with a visual impairment might enjoy simming, but then it's probably even more immersive with a greater suspension of disbelief, something those of us with sight have to enter VR to experience.
@@davidnee6157 we use software to help us read the instruments of the aircraft. That way I can give the information we need to us in speech instead of being visual.
Greetings Steveo, maybe I've missed this in a previous video, but could you explain/demonstrate how you would abort a hot and/or hung start cycle in the TBM940? Thanks!
I don’t know I really like the steam juice. It looks super more interesting you are wondering always with this type of technology. You know what to expect.
I live just a mile or so north of KLAL....I'll have to visit this year to say hello to you, Stevie and Max instead of just watching the T-birds fly over my house.
Beautiful plane....did you leave a wheel chock on left rear wheel to keep the plane from rolling away? lol Nice flight, with coming out of the crab, a little bounce is just fine with this passenger!
Little late to this video, but as a long time fan I'm extremely happy to see you back in a TBM in the Bahamas Steve-O. 👍👌
Excellent, as always, Steveo! Your flight management skills are first-class.
The TBM 940 is the best looking single-engine turboprop in my opinion! 🤩🙌🏾✈️
Steveo, Out of curiosity, when you do a pre-flight brief with your passengers do you inform them of the "TBM 940 HomeSafe" feature and how it works?
Bravo Steveo....so glad you're back in the left seat.....with an even BETTER TBM
Daher makes such a beautiful aircraft, the specs on all the tbm models are absolute perfection.

Really? Hard to believe. But, the more things change, the more they stay the same?
Wow! Just did a quick dive into the literature, and that is an amazing engine! Canada strikes again, eh?
37 yr Pratt guy, that engine made us and continues to pay the bills for development of all our other engines .🏍️🇨🇦
Man what a beautiful bird stevo !!!!
Every time I watch one of Steveo's videos I have to jump into MSFS2020 and fly my TBM. Gonna go flyin', see ya!
I really love the look of that aircraft!
Same here! 🙌🏾
Thanks for the new video Steveo, great to have you back!
Stop stroking his ego and talk about the flight!
great to see you back in the air, Steveo. thank you for explaining the procedures while we are flying with you. I always get confuse in my Sim between FLC and VNV I now recognise the difference. Greetings from Australia.
It's neat seeing the glass cockpit. I worked assembly for a while and have seen these at the component level. Nice flight.
Can it get much better than that? Gorgeous
GREAT flight Steveo. N851TB was a beautiful plane but THIS one, boy oh boy howdy, what a dream! !! !!!
Good Day. Excellent Flight & Commentary as always. I love that you not only give a verbal description of what you are doing with the instruments, but the close up videos of what is actually going on. Safe Travels & Best Regards.
Another great flight!. Was I hearing things or did I hear an aircraft at the 21 minute mark call sign Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? lol...
You did, it sounds like Osama. He flies a Phenom 300 C-FWTF he's done a few flights with Flight Chops

Nice video once again Steveo! Love how you manage flight to always stay ahead of the aircraft.

Really appreciate your post. I can never be a pilot after Covid did a number on me. But can see skies through your lens.
Damn covid......I feel your pain brother......

Always love flying with you Stevo! Thanks for doing such a great job of explaining what you are doing and why! It helps a lot.
That certainly is a handsome aircraft. Glad to be back in the air with you, Steveo!
It's nice watching you stay ahead of the fight with the new avionics
20:51 "9 bravo zulu approach hello" made me laugh for some reason
Great flight! Thanks for taking us along ✈️🤩See you at Sun ‘n Fun!
Steveo - it is good to see you doing more content. Hopefully, you can make OSH this year with starting a new job.
cadillac of a ship..great vid Steveo
nice to see the ground crew let you film with them to get those cool shots, thanks
Love the 940. What an aircraft.

Another fun vid, thanx Stevo.
Another beautiful south Florida landing. 👍🏼
So happy to see you on a mission. I hope the more I see will come again. Onward 🌈 to more please.

ynow what would be interesting is for Steve to be a test pilot at the TBM Factory
Thanks Steveo. Great to see you back. Warm regards from Australia.
Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching all the way from Australia!🇦🇺
@@steveo1kinevo You’re welcome. I always look forward to seeing your posts!
Such an agressive sky owning piece of art !

I’m just watching this on 3/26 and I can’t wait to see your next plane and new adventure!
Steveo, good to be flying with you again.🎉
Great flight video. Nice to see a pilot thank the ground crew. Well done mate.
Can't wait for your summer videos where all of the wx fun begins in South FL
Hello from Minnesota! We just completed that flight! Fun to see it on your channel!
That is one beautiful plane, and great pictures, excellent video angles. Nice
Nice plane ❤
Magic Steveo. Stay well
Hello nice Video cool 🛩🛩🛩
It’s so nice to ride with you again and see you doing what you love.
I watched this landing from my house a couple weeks ago and wondered if it was you in the TBM.
Your flights over the vast ocean always make me think of how difficult it would have been for the explorers on slow sail ships discovering all of these islands.
Was in the Coast Guard, flies single engine to the Bahamas, afraid of sharks 😂🤣🤣 I love it!
Beautiful bird!
Hey. Nice to see you back Stevo, 940 is tremendous aircraft.
Beautiful Plane!
Hope everyone is okay. I sure like your channel i will never be able to learn to fly but man you are professional and i feel like im in the back seat be safe my friend
Why won’t you able to learn to fly?
Hello Steveo, following you from France. I love your videos. Keep it up
Great video and great flight SteveO! I think we got to ride along for pretty much the entire flight, always a treat. Hope to see you at Sun N Fun!
I have to get to Sun N Fun at least once while I am living here in Florida. It is about a 3 hour drive for me from where I am in SW Florida.
flying over to sun'nfun , this years US airshow event . flying in from Norway
Thanks Steveo! OMG, The new 940 is the best looking girl on the ramp!! Really like the paint, and love that new 5 blade prop!! There was 1 thing I didn't recognize on the G3000, but I can't remember what it was. LOL Next one. Thanks for the video! --gary
Seems as though the touch screens would be a challenge in turbulent air.
Thanks for sharing, Steveo! I enjoy those Bahamas flights, I dig the G3000 technology as well...😊
Excellent views and commentary. Maybe I’ll pop over to say hello at the Sun N Fun meetup. New to IFR flying and loving it.
You lucked out Steve. You managed to keep the same job but with an even nicer airplane. Not that the 850 was a bad aircraft.
You need to visit Andros. Plenty to do on the island. I lived on Mangrove Cay for 25 years. Great video
Great to see you up up and away...
Thanks for another virtual vacation
YO SteveO ! Another GREAT VID ! Love that 940 !!

@@billybartcody3591 i’ll trust me. There’s actually quite a few of us who do flight simming.
@@davidnee6157 we use software to help us read the instruments of the aircraft. That way I can give the information we need to us in speech instead of being visual.

The new bird is beautiful brother. Good to see you back in the skies where you belong Steveo! Cheers 😎
This guy at 21:12 with the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot tail number🤣
Man, the G3000's are amazing glass!
Mate, time to update your cover image on the channel! Great stuff!
As usual a great video by the great TBM pilot Steveo1kinevo. Safe travels.
21:09 You _cannot_ make me believe that that callsign wasn't chosen deliberately!
Have a great weekend Steve!✌️😎🇺🇸
Nice plane
Great color scheme on BZ!
Do you ever worry about the Bermuda Triangle Steveo? Or is that not a thing any more?
I don’t know I really like the steam juice. It looks super more interesting you are wondering always with this type of technology. You know what to expect.
So glad too see you again ❤
Great flying as always Steve that new TBM 940 is one beautiful bird to fly!
