This is a great video. It answers questions for novice and experienced home mechanics. Thank you.
This video is narrated so well, that a blind man could complete this service. Really well done!
Thank you for this video! Now I can change the spark plugs in my car!
if all DIY were this good mechanics would go out of business .. keep up the good work boss man
Yo!! This is the most detailed video I’ve ever seen! Thanks!!!
Excellent video. No fluff. Informative and straight to the point.
Clear, concise and right to the point instructions. Thank you sir!
Great step by step video. Keep up the great work.😊😊
Thank you. Great directions.
Excellent video. Thanks
Great video. Thanks so much.
Thanks
Great video save me money the mechanic quote me for change my spark plugs
Which coil plug boot did you use?
Hey do you have a vid on the intake manifold
Can you provide a list of of tools used? I really need to know the name and size of extension you used and size of sockets in mm.
Can you make a video, how to remplace the alternator on this 2018 chevy equinox
What if the first screw is too tight?
На каком пробеге была замена свечей?
😊
Instead of replacing that rubber piece, why not just replace the coils?
I honestly see no need to replace the rubber boots unless they're cracked or falling apart. As for replacing the coils I'd only do that if one (or more) were causing a misfire.
Great video. Very clear and precise. Curious. Doing this yourself saves you approximately how much money than doing this at a dealership?
Likely a few hundred dollars. depends on the shops labor rate, surcharges, and margin on sold parts.
wow. seems like this is the way to go even if you had to buy the tools for the installation. Thanks for the fast reply.@@DavidStumph
The 4 10mm bolts require 89 in-lbs (or about 7.5 ft-lbs) of torque.

This video says different and he shows some information on screen.. please help before I break my friends vehicle Sunday....
How often should the spark plugs be changed?
On the 2018 Equinox the owners manual shows 60,000 miles. I have 56,000 miles on our 2018 and I'll be changing the plugs this fall.
What's the grace I need to put on the spark plug
dielectric grease
how many miles do you recommend changing?
Owner’s manual says 60K miles.
Would this be the same process for a 2019 LT?
Yes
I have a 2018 Chevy Equinox LT diesel, would this be the same way if I were to do it myself?
Did you get them replaced? Haha... Diesels don't use spark plugs, they rely on compression to ignite the fuel.
I didn't know they made this in a diesel.... I feel like he was trolling...
Can you do a video for replacing the alternator? An more
If my vehicle needs one, I will consider adding this to the list. Thank you for the suggestion.
I pulled the clips and it won’t come off
Hi David, do you know if this requires resetting the timing? Or does the computer system automatically do that for you?
Thanks!
No need, automatically handled.
@@DavidStumph thank you! Going to be trying this out this weekend! Appreciate the video and the reply!
what's the spark plug gap??
.028" (0.7mm) according to www.ngk.com/ngk-91970-ilnar8b7g-laser-iridium-spark-plug
@@DavidStumph thanks, I already did the job, gapped them .035
Mf trying to charge 200 to 300 for somthing so simple crazy
I just watched another video on a 2018 Chevy equinox where the ignition coil bolt was a 9mm and the spark plugs were 9/16... But you said 10mm and 14mm... Am I missing something?

I reviewed the link you provided. I’d recommend you follow my instructions, they are accurate and won’t increase the likelihood of rounded bolt heads…9/16 SAE is 14.3 Metric, which is larger than needed. I’d like to think my video is of higher quality and accuracy…
@@DavidStumph oh ok, You were giving metric measurements! okay I understand now! thank you! My neighbor ask me to change her spark plugs. I was looking up videos and I told her it didn't look that hard. I'm just trying to help her out you know? But I'm also not a mechanic...
