However, this is too broad, but I will assume the issue is in initial rapport building. First you have to instil the emotions of interest and curiosity in their mind. For this observe them thoroughly, their interest, experiences, thoughts, and perspectives. Use the art of insinuation to seed that you share common perspectives (Maybe when in a group setting, indirectly). Basically, see the world through their eyes.
