I love SNL so much. I was a kid when it first began and now I am old. Yet when you make me laugh, I still go into hysterical laughter. A wise man said laughter is the relief for painful emotion. You all have been my lifelong medicine.

I feel like the second one just isn't as good. Sarah Michelle Gellar played the role perfectly the first time around. The chemistry with Amy Poehler and Gwyneth Paltrow in the scene and the way the character changed didn't work as well.

One of the funniest things ever on TV, ever. I laughed hard when this, or one of these dysfunctional family dinner skits, aired back in 1997 or so. I laughed hard again now. The discord, rudeness, chaos, hostility, arrogance => great delight and top notch excercise for our laugh muscles. The sound engineering is brilliant, putting the clanking so in front.
To me, dysfunctional family feud with Christian slater as the host (unfortunately you can’t find that on UA-cam, but if you google it it comes up). the Japanese game show with I believe Alec Baldwin hosting and belissima restaurant Kirstie alley as host were the funniest skits. And the Pat skits, and The haddaway dancing club guys with Jim Carey as host.

This isn’t the one that aired on television. This is a different version. The only reason I know this is because I recorded it on a VHS (19 years old, having just moved to Vegas and bored out of my mind).

I think she was doing that as a reference to actors/actresses who make it too obvious that they're reading off the teleprompter in bad movies sometimes.
