Love what you do firstly! My only comment is that in both you and Squirrel's FM role stuff, it is then often combined with an OP tactic which makes it quite hard to get behind (not the tool, but the explanation, as it is hard to disentangle the two impacts). Don't get me wrong I have used many way too powerful tactics this year with max intensity and it made me quit the game for quite some time due to no challenge remaining so beware of these short term wins! However, the tool and presentation is fantastic so well done! I hide all attributes manually and use your Moneyball tool, followed by scouting individual players from them (no recruitment focusses etc) as my way - obviously not saying it's the best way but I love it for someone who finds Fm quite easy playing in the standard ways 🤠
Loved the video. I'm starting a document stating what metrics to look for based off what you want the player to do (similar to your explaination in the video) - would love something similar on the site for each role in the game if that was possible. more than willing to help with that of course.
On another note - I definitely find sorting by league ore-export (which sorts by league reputation) and then going through the data with a mental note that any good (for me, percentile) stats should be seen as very srong indicators of a decent player given the competition. For me, sorting the columsn itself can lead you to loving a player in the Uruguayan second division 😂
I hope this video has provided clarity on utilising the MONEYBALL approach within Football Manager using FMDataLab. While FMDataLab equips you with the tools to implement MONEYBALL, this video offers a foundational guide on how to integrate the methodology into your save. As mentioned in the video, for those seeking a more comprehensive understanding of mastering MONEYBALL, I highly recommend checking out the "Moneyball Clinic" series by MustermannFM: ua-cam.com/play/PLc06oFnS5v5IJSQIxNTJNWHIhWpRkf_0H.html. Please keep in mind that the example presented in this video is intentionally straightforward. You could certainly delve much deeper, meticulously analysing each potential player to uncover the most undervalued talents. I, on the other hand, took a more cursory glance at a handful of players, opting for a selection that was successful but perhaps not the absolute cream of the crop. Consider this more of a blueprint for you to expand upon, rather than a definitive guide-though it did achieve surprising success, more time invested could undoubtedly have led to even greater results. Stay tuned for upcoming updates currently in development., including: - Adding your own custom computed statistics. - View percentiles for each position. See how well a player performs in comparison to their peers in the same position, rather than all positions. - New Moneyball Statistics. At the moment it's just over performance metrics per 90 minutes at the moment. - Updating the Top 5 Stats in player panel to be Top 10 Stats instead. - Adding new datapoints to comparison chart. (Top 5% from players in uploaded file & Top 5% from players in Top 5 Leagues dataset) - Goalkeeping Computed/Actions Stats being exclusive to Goalkeepers. If you have any suggestions or thoughts, feel free to drop them in the comments below. Thanks 🙂

Hey man, this tool actually made me come back to the game. But one thing is, i did everything you did for role scores, but my scores are in red. For eg, the max score i get is 1.21 for a dm and .44 for an inside forward. No matter how many times i print the squad or player search with the appropriate filter or views, i get it everytime
Hey, glad to hear that FMDataLab has pulled you back into FM, but sorry to hear about the issues you're having with the Role Scores Tool. - Do you have attribute masking enabled? If so, that may be the reason as the players in your exported HTML file from FM may only have a number of attribute values, where the rest may be just displayed as `-`. - Does your exported HTML file have all the correct attribute values for each player? (If you do have attribute masking enabled, you may see some attribute values as `-`.) - Do you get any error windows on FMDataLab, or any x or warning icons on the table?
@@FMDataLab Wow thanks for the reply man. No I was using mustermann skin and so the attributes didn't get displayed. So I changed to default and it worked. I took York City from vanarama to the championship with just a million spent using your tool 🤙
@otterinari2390 Ahh, that would make sense. Glad you got sorted and thanks for letting me know the solution, much appreciated! Love to hear a success story using FMDataLab! Keep up the good work and hope FMDataLab can continue to help with your success!
what I'm doing with your tool( btw thank you very much), is finding young players who are cheap and performing well, I'm talking from 17-19 years old, buying them, loaning them out, then selling them after a couple of seasons for profit, kinda red bull leipzig, let's see how it goes, thank you again
Ive got lots of missing columns that arent in my FM2024 stuff like tackles completed/90 just arent in the stats section ??? open play crosses completed , where is that ?? i cant even add them as i cant find them ??
First, I'd go through all of the steps listed here > www.fmdatalab.com/tutorials/moneyball#I_am_getting_an_error,_how_can_I_resolve If you are still having issues, then your best course of action is to ensure you are using the English Language and default skin, then clear your cache, then revert to the default view for that screen and manually add the necessary columns. Hey, The functionality you've seen is powered by a series of Google Apps Scripts, specifically written in GoogleScript, which are currently tied to my Google Account rather than being embedded within the sheet itself. Unfortunately, this makes them a bit tricky to share directly. Additionally, these scripts are tailored to work with a very specific export format from FMDataLab, focusing on certain roles, so they aren’t dynamic and might not adapt well to other data structures. That said, I’m planning to incorporate this very feature into FMDataLab in the near future, making it more accessible and user-friendly for everyone. Stay tuned!

Good video again, though admittedly, some of this is new, and the videos are lkng with you talking about 95% of the time, so a lot of pausing and going back to understand. Maybe that gets more viewing? 😂.
