I remember reading that gta iv devs were intending for there to be randomized plates, I forget what the issue was since it was so long ago, but there was a severe game breaking glitch involving the plates that they scrapped it due to time restrictions
I notice plates being the same, but I've been a license plate collector for a bit, so I know many of the different serial formats for different plates and different styles of plates in States. Also helps that I live near Virginia, which has an obscene amount of plate variants.

I hope they put that in the next gta game but a mix between 4 and 5. The newer cars should be fast, have stiff suspension and be easy to drive while the older cars are more floaty, heavier and a bit harder to drive like gta 4

you should do a video of the many lore friendly cars that have been made for GTA4 like the Monstrosity that not only adds the one seen in the recent mercenaries update, but also adds a 4 door and 2 door non-rally version.

the cars of gta 4 always looked so cartoony to me but i do like the weighty feel of the handling its not realistic at all but its great fun to just throw a huge full-size car like the albany emperor around corners and go on a relaxing cruise through the city
Awesome Mod. Awesome Showcase. Ideally, all vehicles would have Inspection / Emissions stickers on the windshield if they're for Road Use and emit fumes.
Now all we need is a mod that adds all vehicles from Max Payne 3, GTA V, GTA Online, and (when it eventually comes out) GTA VI (produced in or before 2008) to Grand Theft Auto IV.
Have you seen the GTA IV Console visuals mod? It's incredible and brings back the blur, reflections and clothes from the console versions onto the PC version. Unfortunately, every time I install the optional files, the game keeps crashing during the loading screen. Could you possibly make a guide on it?
I haven't actually. Although I know there's possibly some big mods being worked on to fix the rendering of GTA IV on PC, should hopefully release in the next few months. I'll see about more IV videos though, including the mod you mentioned at some point. EDIT: The fixes I mentioned are actually planned for the console visuals mod. So keep an eye on that.

Thank you! Honestly no idea, it could be anything. I can only recommend you uninstall some mods until the issue is fixed, and then narrow it down to a single mod.
Basically no performance impact. I plan on covering ROSA again. I'm still working on my new San Andreas guide though, but it's coming along well and should be finished soon..ish.

@@Rain-bk7zm Inside the plug ins folder, GTAIV.EFLC.FusionFix.ini, find the line that says vehiclebudget= and then change that number to 120000000 then save.
I had to redo that texture from vectors so it only made sense to keep it as the "brand" name it was changed to since it only appeared in TBOGT as Capro, and then Capra in GTA V/GTA Online. The lore of the brand in V always states it was called Santo Capra so I consider it a correction to a retcon.
Go into the fusion fix ini and change the vehicle budget number, if you only have my mod installed then set it to this, VehicleBudget = 144000000, and yes each vehicle has its own plate now compared to the original game where every plate was the same.
your videos are amazing! Though I have a problem trying to install this mod with the Complete Edition, or any other mod that uses OpenIV to alter files, as soon I try to launch the game Rockstar Launcher updates and resets everything to scratch. Any work around for this?
Download Fusion Fix and grab the Complete Edition version, that uses the Update folder mod loading method which bypasses Rockstar Launcher verification.
You need to increase the games vehicle budget, if you have fusion fix then it can be done in the INI, if you just have this mod then setting the vehiclebudget= to 120000000 will be enough.
Man, even so, even with Fusion Fx installed, only taxis appear and a random vehicle model that repeats and the police car only 3 cars in the game, how to solve this?
I installed the mod and had car streaming issues, i only had 1-2 unique cars all over the map (not taxis) even though i increased the vehicle budget setting in FusionFix
I have my vehicle budget set to this "VehicleBudget=506188032" and it works fine, but you'll need to calculate your own value depending on if you have other mods installed.
@@adihammer7861 No, just don't use this mod. It's not even worth it. The game already looks awesome running at 4K. This mod actually makes the vehicles look fake because the textures are so pristine and perfect. It removes imperfections that Rockstar added deliberately to make it look like real life.
Once you learn how to drive in gta4 the v8’s were so lazy it made drifting so frustrating!! Just a little more power to power out from drifting would’ve made so much difference and I’d probably still be drifting about the airport today lol
@TJGM Thank you! That finally fixed it! Didn't realize Fusionfix allowed you to edit the budgets directly. I originally raised it another way, which just caused even more bugs.

I always felt like the vehicle physics were superb, they felt like real, weighty cars

My pc struggles to keep GTA 4 at 60 fps consistently, is this going to tank my performance?

@@jassykat there's options in the menu's, all it does is optimise framerates, fixes issues and improves textures
