A great poet or songwriter is able to say the things that we all feel but are not able to express. Springsteen is one of those who can. People will be singing, covering , listening to his music a century from now. That is if the world is still here a century from now. Hope springs eternal. Thanks Boss.
My husband passed in 8/2020....he was originally from NJ, & a huge Bruce (The Boss) fan . As difficult as it is for me to listen to his music 😢 it's amazing in so many ways. ❤❤ So many beautiful memories!! Thank you Bruce!!
Your husband is now singing with John Lennon, David Bowie, Freddy Mercury, Tom Petty, Danny, Clarence and Johnny Cash. And they're singing for you. In some way those songs and their voices reach you❤❤❤
This was a fundraiser to raise money to fight 3 of the worst diseases that can afflict a human being and for the man sitting down on the right (Bob) who obviously has one of these horrible conditions. My gratitude and appreciation of Bruce Springsteen just continues to grow. We are blessed by his being and its expression.
I LOVE TO DEATH when I see Bruce doing these good deeds... he doesn't do it to be acknowledged, but he does it because he believes these are the right things to do. Period. We can go back to old concerts of his and listen to the words he used to say when introducing a song or simply share thoughts that had such an importance socially-wise... and so, to see him doing this kind of deed, in his state, in Asbury Park where he essentially grew up musically, it is simply something normal for him. This is Bruce, and that's why I love him!!!
Love this song my number one song in live it's a journey this song from start to finish it's a story not a song that repeats the chorus over and over its from start to finish!!! Bobby Jean my 2 all time song also
Great video. Joe Grushecky and Nick Cave are part of the jam. I grew up with Bruce's albums and every time that I listen to some of his songs I get emotional and then I get stronger, thinking to my youth and those rock and roll dreams I made because of him and his guitar. ❤
of note - - - - Bruce Springsteen played a dozen songs on Saturday (January 18th) at Asbury Park's Paramount Theatre at the annual Light Of Day benefit concert to raise money to fight Parkinson's Disease, according to Rolling Stone. Mike J Fox still fighting Parkinson's disease..!!
Saw him sing this at the DAR Construction Hall in March 1975…his second appearance in DC. His first was at the Childe Herald on DuPont Circle…a bar that maybe sat 50 people…that was in the Fall of 74.
I saw 👀 Bruce in 1974 at the Camden Country College in south jersey admission price $ 3.00 general admission he was playing Asbury Park songs the venue held about 2000 people

Rest in Peace to your husband. Im Xaba from Hungary, Europe and a huge Bruce fan too. God bless you, Jennifer!

Am sorry for your lost. When you listen to Bruce know that your husband will be right next to you signing with you and Bruce.
So sorry for your loss 😢 yes, his music is an unquestionable beauty about it. And I’m sure your husband is still singing it ❤❤🤗🤗

Stunning version of arguably the best song in the world! 😀
Song of our youth, every time I hear it I’m back in Belmar with a beer in my hand and a smile on my face
He’s always in Manasquan. Parks at the inlet & walks the beachfront😎

One of the greatest songs ever written. And it doesn't even have a chuffing chorus!
This is my very favorite song. Have we all experienced "the lonely cool before dawn?" What a master.
You're alright with me, Bruce. Love You Always ❤
I always thought of Bruce as a storytelling folk singer using rock as his form of expression. This version of this song shows his roots. Wonderful.
A such magical song that everyone loves to sing with him ! Wonderful Bruce ! ❤
Bruce first song I've ever listened. First love never forgotten. Go on Boss 'till the end of the world.

Inspirál!
😢😢😢🎉🎉🎉❤
One of the best beginnings to a song ever. Bruce was young, so he didn't quite know how to finish it. It just sorta fades away.
👏👏👏👏
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Who is the guy that gets down next to Bob?? He’s my guy… with Bob,not singing too him xx being there with someone means a huge amount..
I love Bruce “ but how can a guy from my home state sound like he’s from Nebraska “ ? when he’s talking?
I saw 👀 Bruce in 1974 at the Camden Country College in south jersey admission price $ 3.00 general admission he was playing Asbury Park songs the venue held about 2000 people
BRRRRUUUUUCCCEE!!!!!
Brasil 23/03/2024
😢😢😢
Based on the date of this show and how close everyone was standing, yeah, this was definitely a super-spreader event.
I hope when he na na na he remembers the Big Man Mr. Clarence Clemmons!!!
Which is the youngest nation? But the better one? We're just given some English words to save the world. We keep doing it, then we go.
Show a little faith!!!
Dillonesque...
Memories, when music was great and musicians were also.
Not rap shit.
When did hillbilly Bruce take over?
When he recorded “Nebraska”
🙏🙏🙏❤
