The game library is one of nintendo's weaker ones desperately needing a bigger bolder mario game and a original Zelda game which it never got and or got to late.
N64 should be higher imo. Ushered in 3D gaming with so many formative, revolutionary titles. Gaming elements we take for granted now were introduced with N64 - analogue stick, rumble feedback, etc. Any console featuring such iconic games as Ocarina of Time, Mario 64, Goldeneye, Banjo Kazooie, Perfect Dark deserves to be higher.
This, also find a lot of N64 games have aged worse than games on the other consoles due to the early 3D, same thing with the PS1. Full of whippers and is a legendary console but has certainly felt the passing of time
The Wii U was good because all of its games were ported to the switch. Which means it had good games. It was also backwards compatible with all your old wii stuff. The only downside is that the gamepad has a low battery and if you break it you have to replace your console. The only reason why I still play now is to play Nintendo land
true however it does age poorly due to better versions of its games being on switch and it had a very short lifespan and sales for a console so it lacks a lot of support both in terms of first and especially third party
SNES is the best Nintendo console simply because it had the best games pound for pound. Though the Switch, Wii, WiiU could play some of the games. Those games didnt come out on those systems. Also the love, hype and discussion of video games were at a height during the SNES days. Every trip to the mall, school yard, vacation, etc. Nintendo was in the discussion. Now we live in an oversaturated market and it definitely feels less special and talked about. More a matter of fact then something unique. Snes period was incredible times. Trading games with your friends, renting unknown, unreviewed games from the stores. Looking up guides and cheats in magazines. Good, good times indeed. I love my switch i really do, but its place at number 2 is justified. Revolutionary? Yes but not doing anything that XBOX or Sony couldnt do better. During the SNES times, Nintendo was leading the industry. N64 is good not great, should trade places with the Wii. As it was just a superior system in everyway. Great overall list though.

As someone who grew up during the original NES released in 1985 in the states. And own EVERY single Nintendo home console since. (Except the Virtual Boy) I would like to object to your harsh criticism of the Wii-U. Putting sales aside, the Wii-U was the blueprint for the Nintendo Switch. It was the rough draft, if you will. It was a very important piece to the Switch puzzle. And here's why, the BEST selling game on the Switch is "Mario Kart 8: Deluxe." A game ported from the Wii-U that released in 2014. Think about all of the Wii-U ports that released from the infant years of the Switch (2017 ) till 2021-2022. Hell, even the juggernaut launch title for the Switch, being "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." 2017's game of the year was a Wii-U game 1st, that was ported to the Switch at the 11th hour. Because Nintendo realized they didn't have a AAA title to launch with the Switch. So they did the same thing they did in 2006 with the launch of the Wii. So while the Switch is a massive success, let's not shit on the machine that had to fail, so that the Nintendo Switch would succeed. Other than that great video.
Have to give a PSA here - “black” cartridge games work for both the original gameboy and gameboy color. So if you credit Pokemon Gold/Silver (yes I know, not actually black colored cartridges) to the GBC you have to credit it to the GB as well. Maybe those games are enough to put the GB up a couple spots?
the 3ds being ranked lower than the gameboy is actually insane lol it's a shame that the western fans seem to not appreciate the 3ds as much, but everyone has their own opinions
Out of the ones I've owned 5. Nintendo DS 4. Nintendo 3DS 3. Nintendo Wii 2. Nintendo Wii U 1. Nintendo Switch The DS and Wii were my first video game consoles
Looking at all this it makes me realize Nintendo's in a position they have'nt been in since the NES days. The chance to truly step up the foundation they laid with the previous console. They got it back briefly with the Wii but dropped the ball with the Wii U. But the Switch is really their best chance to make a successful follow up home console againand they damn well know that too, it's' why their taking as much time as they need too on it.
This is a tough ranking. We can agree on the first two. The SNES can only stay up there on number1 and the Switch has to be in the top 3. This said let´s talk about the poor Wii U, thrown at the bottom next to the Virtual Boy (sigh). That poor unfortunate console had a stellar library of first party games, you mentioned only two of them. I would go as far as to say that the Wii U game library was at some point a key contributor to the success of the Switch. The console deserves to stay before the Wii, as the only thing the Wii did better was the Virtual Console. I would personally put it somewhere between the N64 and the Game Cube. Another console that is amazing and you left at the bottom is the 3DS, what a portable console! I love it so much that, when I am on the go, I prefer it to the Switch. It was the last comfortable portable console from Nintendo.
For me it’s Switch, SNES and NES 1, 2 and 3. Because they are the only Nintendo consoles I have owned. I had a game gear instead of game boy and after PS1 I never returned to Nintendo until the Switch, the N64, GameCube, Wii and WiiU never had any interest for me and since I had a NES for Mario I got the game gear for Sonic.
These types of list are of course always subjective, but I'll take a crack at it, as I've been a fan since the early Game & Watch days, but in current times, not so much. But I still have a great love for their past efforts. 1. SNES 2. GBA 3. DS 4. NES 5. 3DS 6. N64 7. GBC 8. GC 9. GB 10. Wii 11. Wii U 12. Switch 13. Virtual Boy
@@Dangnilo Honestly, I debated on that one more than probably any other on the list actually. I graduated in 89 and started my first real job that summer and my GB was my go to device at the time. It was also the first system I imported games for on the regular, but I think the limits of it's hardware is maybe why I put it lower. But if going on library alone, yeah, it would have been higher for sure.
Great video, everyone is going to rate these differently but this was fun anyway. I'd probably have the nes at the top, and that's due to my personal experience with it. Can't seem to get into the switch, and I'm a firm believer that the wii-u was done dirty by nintendo.
A word of warning: another channel I watch got demonetized for using old video game commercials in their videos. UA-cam said it was “recycled content “. They won their appeal, but it happened.
This list was perfect 👍👌 I loved your number 2 and 1. I have had almost as much fun playing my Switch as I did the SNES! And with the switch hey I can play a bunch of the SNES games ON my Switch! Just brilliant 😊🤩
Put gamecube over the NES is wild….The Wii is to far too, they sell so much of them, even to non video games people! The SNES is always overrated in my opinion too!! Anyway great video!!
10:33 going along with what you said there I kid you not when I used to work at Olive garden a decade ago I would bring out my 2DS to play it during my breaks and a coworker of mine who is literally the same age as me In fact he's a month younger than me would ask what I'm playing on my Game Boy. I'm in my 2DS looks nothing like a Game Boy and it's way more advanced in tech than a Game Boy so it was just annoying that he kept calling it that😂. And did he forget about the Nintendo DS? I guess he just wasn't really that much of a gamer because the Nintendo DS is the highest selling handheld ever made and the only console to ever outsell is the PS2
Putting the wii u under the nes and snes is crazy because your basically ignoring the fact that it can play pretty much every console and handheld game up to the n64 and ds
let's be fair here. the wii u is the best console ever: it plays all wii games, use motion controllers from the previous console OR normal pro controller OR the tablet, has 1080p resolution. i wish they'd keep developing games for it i think it would be the best platform for ultra creative games. with enough time developers could use the tablet for innovative ideas, the notion controllers, etc
Gamecube being that high is WILD. As a person who was around that time and owned a GC, it was my least played console since the other consoles had so many great games that didnt come to the GC and the ones that did were inferior versions. I dont get how today's gamer praise the gamecube so much.
Super Nintendo is hands down my favorite Nintendo system of all time just because of the nostalgia and the amazing franchises that made up its library. But ironically some of my favorite Nintendo games actually came out on the N64. On a side note I'm sorry that you're an Everton fan. I support the other Merseyside team. #YNWA
@@Adamtendo_player_1 It really depends on your tastes. I found the Mega Drive/Genesis was great if you loved sports games but the SNES was amazing for RPGs (MD has RPGs too but c'mon). I found the MD games ran smoother and had better pixels while the SNES did colors better. You can't go wrong with either system

I had to turn it off when you put the Wii at #9, Wii is top 3 hands down, I realize you're younger and didn't really live through that era and don't fully understand just how culturally significant the Wii was although it got everyone into gaming in a way that has never been replicated before or since. You placed GC at #3?! I realize its the hipster of Nintendo consoles but they sold very poorly with a limited library of games that truly missed the mark. Terrible list my guy
tbh I don't agree with this list. switch is overrated af. the game and console itself is expensive. also I don't need handheld + console idea. I only carry smartphone. I don't carry ds or 3ds anymore. SNES and NES... I'm not that old so I don't know what to say. N64... well games are good but that weird controller didn't age well. GameCube was good so I think GC deserves top 3. GameBoyAdvance... I only played pokemon. DS had way more games and DS is the best handheld. DS, Wii, GameCube are top 3. 3DS was great too. It's ironic because it had more features like mp3 player feature. it was more than switch lite. so conclusion: 1) DS 2) GameCube 3) Wii 4) 3DS 5) Switch 6) GameBoyAdvance
Essa lista ai ficou esquisita pra caramba. OMG you seriously but GBC above DS?!?! Sales, relevance, quality of games are all much MUCH better on DS. Still finished with SNES as Number 1 - all’s well that ends well. ❤
Nintendo 64 should be way lower. I have zero desire to play any of its games outside of mario 64, smash bros, star fox, zelda, and mario kart. Incredibly weak library
@@stevesteve0521 I will admit that the analog stick and the local 4 player were great features, but that doesn't change that the library is weak and most of the games aged horribly. Also the PlayStation sold more consoles overall, so not sure what you are saying about console sales
I got to be honest this list is top ten aweful. How the DS isn’t number one and Wii isn’t number two is beyond me. I knew one person that owned a GameCube and he hated it. That console was terrible and second rate to both the Xbox and Ps2. Nintendo 64 was so terrible that PlayStation became a power house, I personally only got a N64 to play No Mercy. I do not get how you put their two best selling consoles that saved the company, behind the two consoles that almost ruined them. DS, Wii, Switch, Super NES, NES, Gameboy Color, Gameboy, Gameboy advance, N64, Nintendo 3ds, GameCube, Wii U. That is the proper no bias based on Zelda games list. The Game Cube not having g a dvd slot was such a gigantic mistake that it almost ruined them, Two consoles that cost more than the GameCube out sold them massively, I remember people fighting over PS2 and even not being able to find a Xbox for Christmas and kid rather having nothing and just waiting while there was Game Cubes all over store shelves. No one wanted that console except Zelda/Mario fan boys.
Agreed top 3 should be Nintendo DS, Wii, and Switch. DS and Switch are the two best-selling consoles not called PS2 and the Wii also sold over 100 million. They are also cultural phenomenons and innovative and fun, even for people who are not really gamers. Like you said others like N64 and GameCube got outclassed by other consoles of their time.

Super Nintendo is great but much more evolutionary than revolutionary. I'd put it below switch, gameboy, and NES
These types of list are of course always subjective, but I'll take a crack at it, as I've been a fan since the early Game & Watch days, but in current times, not so much. But I still have a great love for their past efforts.
1. SNES
2. GBA
3. DS
4. NES
5. 3DS
6. N64
7. GBC
8. GC
9. GB
10. Wii
11. Wii U
12. Switch
13. Virtual Boy
This is a better ranking list, though the GameBoy is full of great games and it should be higher.
26k Gang! My favorite is probably the 3DS,but excluding the Virtual Boy,they're all at least good imo.
virtual boy, wii u, 3ds... things escalated quickly
@@TheJacklikesvideos we called virtual boy Home Lasik
A word of warning: another channel I watch got demonetized for using old video game commercials in their videos. UA-cam said it was “recycled content “. They won their appeal, but it happened.
Damn! Thanks for the heads up
Wii at 9th place: Dude, what the...
1/10
I have to disagree with the GBC being ranked above the DS, but that’s my only nitpick
This list was perfect 👍👌 I loved your number 2 and 1. I have had almost as much fun playing my Switch as I did the SNES! And with the switch hey I can play a bunch of the SNES games ON my Switch! Just brilliant 😊🤩
Putting the Wii and DS below the GBC and N64 is bananas
Put gamecube over the NES is wild….The Wii is to far too, they sell so much of them, even to non video games people! The SNES is always overrated in my opinion too!! Anyway great video!!
I almost bought Zoey 101 for a streamer I follow as a gag gift, but I sent him Victorious instead.
Speaks to the quality of Nintendo consoles that there's a case for half of them to be crowned *Best Nintendo Console.*
26k gang!
Actually it's more than 27 already!
I only exclusively play the Gameboy Advance SP with all the body mods
Top 3 imo: Wii, Nintendo DS, and Switch
let's be fair here. the wii u is the best console ever: it plays all wii games, use motion controllers from the previous console OR normal pro controller OR the tablet, has 1080p resolution. i wish they'd keep developing games for it i think it would be the best platform for ultra creative games. with enough time developers could use the tablet for innovative ideas, the notion controllers, etc
Putting the Wii at 9 and the DS at 8 is kind wild. I guess everyone has to gas the Switch now in days.
Nintendo Wii, DS & GameCube > Nintendo Switch
Gamecube being that high is WILD. As a person who was around that time and owned a GC, it was my least played console since the other consoles had so many great games that didnt come to the GC and the ones that did were inferior versions. I dont get how today's gamer praise the gamecube so much.
Metroid Prime, Wind Waker, Luigi's Mansion, Melee, Sunshine, Resi remake, Resi 4, Pikmin, Paper Mario, Double Dash, GX, Path of Radiance, Animal Crossing, Viewtiful Joe, Eternal Darkness...that easy!
#YNWA
There's no escaping you lot 😔
The super Nintendo while the great system is overrated in my opinion, I definitely prefer the mega drive in that regard.

Michael Jordan and NES are GOAT. I am Gen X, I have spoken!
26K Gang BAYBEEEEE. N64 for me from a purely nostalgia tinted opinion...
The only Xbox console who finished 2nd is the OG. That show you how great OG Xbox is.
Wii U is better than Wii
The wii U was actually super fun
Which system had more sales ? To a business sales determine success ? So what was the Wii U sales compared to WII?
26k Gang
NES for me, where I started.
Game Cube in 3rd? for the awesome 3 games it had??? and the GameBoy in 10th?? WTF..
The Nintendo Switch is my favourite console of all time.
I am old.
I sure wish people would stop saying the Wii U almost killed the company cause thats simply not true
@@bodacious117 wii u killed it
SNES is great because it has a ton of games period
my number 1 is the gamecube the games are incradible
Switch and GameCube ..since I own them lol. Best
The gamecube controller is trash, but great library
Big fan of the game cube.
tbh I don't agree with this list. switch is overrated af. the game and console itself is expensive. also I don't need handheld + console idea.
Totally fine, be boring if we all agreed on everything haha!
@@CulturedVultures I'm not forcing you to change your opinion. but I tried to be objective
Hold on… at 5:54…is that Steve from Stranger Things?????
Haha yep! You're the first to notice! He did some Switch ads just before the show ua-cam.com/video/7TgBhfBP7kI/v-deo.html
Please Make Sega and Microsoft Consoles Next
Sega is this Friday :)
01. Nes
02. Snes
03. NS
04. DS
05. Wii
06. GBA
07. N64
08. GBC
09. GC
10. 3DS
11. WiiU
12. GB
OMG you seriously but GBC above DS?!?! Sales, relevance, quality of games are all much MUCH better on DS.
Still finished with SNES as Number 1 - all’s well that ends well. ❤
He also said that Nintendo almost slipped on 3DS??? Bullcrap for all I know!!!
You need to swap the GBA and the GameCube. The GBA is a lot better.
Gameboy colour❤
Putting the 3DS at 11 is a crime I’m sorry 😭😭😭
Lock me up

N64 all the way!
WiiU is 10x better than the Wii
Too bad it was such a flop lol
There are a surprising amount of people that put the switch as one of the worst, and the Wii U as one of the best

THE SWITCH LITE!!!!!!!

GBA ftw :)
top 5!

The Switch should be at the bottom and it's not even close. Worst Nintendo product maybe ever.
Wii sucks
Nintendo 64 should be way lower. I have zero desire to play any of its games outside of mario 64, smash bros, star fox, zelda, and mario kart. Incredibly weak library
@@stevesteve0521 I will admit that the analog stick and the local 4 player were great features, but that doesn't change that the library is weak and most of the games aged horribly. Also the PlayStation sold more consoles overall, so not sure what you are saying about console sales
@@stevesteve0521 "it did better than any console ever on the market" what does that mean
@@stevesteve0521 oh gotcha
Shitendo only made two good consoles, NES and SNES. the worst of all was Shitendo 64
💀
whoever made this list is an insane nintendork. Gamecube the third best Shitendo console? it got R*ped by the ps2 lol. get real
