    Hey there Brad. I really love all your videos of reviewing drawing tablets and you giving a lot of positive feedback from your videos. I’ve been watching your videos of drawing tablets and I’m loving your reviews on XPPen tablets lately. I watched your video on the XPPen Artist Pro 15.6 and I seriously love how it looks and how the way you used it came out pretty nicely.

    XP Pen is almost hitting the sweet spot! Once they reach 120hz I feel like they'll dominate the market. This model looks much nicer than my Cintiq 16 as well, the FHD is very noticeable

      @orcusdei 8 місяців тому +15

      Honestly Cintiq 16 is absolute crap that shouldn't be on market in a first place. Wacom is really dropping a ball here. Cintiq 16 has terrible colors, terrible brightness, it's grainy and has noticable paralax. Doesn't even have matte screen but it has matt foil on top. Absolute crap that is saved by the digitizer, pen and software.
      Cintiq 16 PRO is awful aswell cause it has terrible fan that is loud and crappy.
      There are only 2 things that are holding me back from XP Pen:
      - the noticable jitter we can see even in this video
      - they don't have slim pen

    • @geekdoesstuff
      @geekdoesstuff 8 місяців тому +3

      imo dismissing a device just because of its fans is kinda weird. I have a cintiq pro 16 and dont even notice the fans. its worth it to me to have the better pen as well as the touch features and great screen. The regular cintiq also has a worse screen but youre still getting that great wacom pen. @@orcusdei

    I have always loved XP-Pen but Wow, they have really stepped up their game! I can even see the justification of the higher pricing based on my old Artist Pro 1st Gen. It is gonna be a few months but I can't wait to upgrade! Also, I never really use the buttons, I do all my shortcuts w my left hand on the keyboard to the side.

    I'm so glad I held out buying the previous version. The reason I'm looking into this model (16 Pro) is that sweet sweet color gamut. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've never seen another tablet that has a higher color gamut as the 16 Pro, not even more expensive models or other brands.

    16" seems to be the ideal size for me personally, bigger than this becomes too big. If this has touch support, it's an easy instant-purchase. I really like the convenience of touch/finger gestures on my Tab S6 Lite.

    Hi, love your videos and I have a question: I don't do art professionally, but have done amateur level for quite some time. I now wanted to buy my first drawing tablet and, since I have no "normal" tablet aswell, I was wondering if I should go with something like this (rn costs 449 and not 600) or the iPad 9th gen. I want a drawing tablet but, as I said, I don't have a tablet (have only been using laptop for university etc.), so I don't know if it would be a better purchase this one or the iPad 9.

    I'm not a big fan of remotes, I get disoriented easily and with my 13.3 pro I still push the wrong buttons sometimes and I don't like moving my arms that much when I'm focusing on my work, although that 16k sensitivity sure does sound nice tho and the brushed aluminum edges really looks enticing, but I think I'll give it a pass or when the price of it drops.

      When the pen moves to draw a line, the line created is behind the pen. While the pen is still moving, the line created cannot yet touch the pen.
      The line can only touch the pen when the pen stops moving.
      So I think that there is a noticeable delay between the line created and the movement of the pen.

    Can you reply how this fares against the Cintiq Pro 16 2021/2023 overall? Trying to decide between the two.

      They should be compairable. The Cintiq has touch if thats something you'd want.

    Does the stylus work on MPP (Microsoft Pen Protocol)? If you used it on a Surface tablet, would it work? Or does it have to be the XP Pen Displays?

    • @tristen_grant
      @tristen_grant 9 місяців тому

      Its a display tablet.

    • @natayaway
      @natayaway 9 місяців тому

      @@tristen_grant Pen displays are not all cross-compatible, they each use different protocols and digitizers. There's Wacom AES, Wacom EMR, USI 1.0 / 2.0, Microsoft N-trig / MPP 1.2 / 1.5 / 1.51 / 2.0 / 2.5 / 2.6 (where all of the MPP pens are forwards-compatible but not backwards compatible), Huion's version, XP-Pen's version, whatever the heck Apple uses for the Pencils (which are also not cross compatible), Synaptics... the list is massive and it's impossible to know unless you find someone who has all of the different pens and tests it themselves.

    Look amazing but I think I will stick with trying to get the Huion studio.
    Also Brad how do I get windows ink to stop in Adobe I've tried everything. I even made a registrar file to stop it. It keeps bringing up a right click when I try to draw slowly.

      do u really think thats a great idea to buy any "studio" standalone tablet? huion studio 24 - $2400 USD and gives you 220 nits of brightness... its not like its cheap, u cant upgrade it, if anything goes wrong its gg bro. i would never buy that unless money is no issue

    In drawing software like csp, how would these tablets run without a graphics card? would integrated graphics be absolutely necessary in that scenario?

    • @franciscodetonne4797
      @franciscodetonne4797 9 місяців тому +2

      These are called "pen displays" and you need to plug in a computer or laptop, these are not iPads or Samsung tablets. In case that is what you ask.
      Think of this as a computer monitor that you can draw on with its own stylus.

    • @thebradcolbow
      @thebradcolbow  9 місяців тому +3

      To add to what @franciscodetonne4797 said, your laptop/desktop doesn't need a graphics card to run one of these.

      i used to use a graphics tablet with csp with an apu/integrated graphics (512mb of vram i think?) and 4gb ram, it worked perfectly. i think raster art programs rely much more on ram than on the graphics card, and even then a low-performance device can still get the job done
