MS Delta here, I just got some dried pods of okra that my grandfather originally found growing in their cotton patch in Alabama in the 30s. He has planted it nearly every year since and I'm trying it this year. It looks like it is actually Star of David, never knew the name of it!
I'm not sure why ,but none of mine snap off that easy when they are that same size ,, I have to use snips. Do you have any idea why that is ? And I'm still confused to when to harvest haha
Looks beautiful. I've never tried okra before being way to the west of you. I want to sign up for your newsletter but the link doesn't seem to be working :( Take care and stay safe
I don’t see a problem. There are many markets around probably so this way they only need to update one news letter with where they will be. Not sure what is confusing about that.
Never grown it but just got a bunch of pods from a buddy of mine, gonna plant next year, you make look forward to it.
Yep Texas okra
I’m growing tons of it this year! 💜

It’s very fun to shake the pods when they are completely dry. The dry seeds make a shaky sound.
looks good
I’d like some Star of David seed
Wow what's a beautiful filed of vegetables
Vegetab healthy and fresh

Okra looks great!!!
Goodness that looks delicious
Very nice okra!
Welcome to the okra forest!
I’m Texan and have never heard of Texas okra (not saying it’s notI). I just learned of Star of David last year. Your okra is beautiful!
There is several different Texas varieties of okra and some are very regional to areas of Texas.
Im in Australia and planted some "hill country red" that look suspiciously like your star of David except red. Your plants look great.
I'm in Louisiana zone 8a. How late can the okra be planted?
Im curious to know if you fertilize these okra and if so with what and how often?
Awesome looking okra! I would like to try that variety
I would, too.

Did you transplant the red burgundy and the star of david in the sa me time??
My Texas hill country okra is that chunky, but it’s red streaker, so 🤷♀️
You have a gorgeous forest there!
That okra is awesome! My hubby is an okra eater and I will be growing some of this next year. :)
I live in italy, how could I buy the star of david's seeds? ?
You Tube is doing us a disservice by not including the day month & year the video was posted!
Looks a lot like Texas Pot Belly okra.
I would like to buy some seed if you have extra!

Shame they do not respond to question. If they do not want comments. They just should cut off the comments so no one can comment!
Get a ladder and let it grow....
Yes, let's "hide our store" and only tell people where they can buy from us if they sign up. Excellent marketing strategy. *confused*
