    Yh i know that it depends on the application but when the CPU is purchased how many cores are available to use?

  • @bornwisedistruction
    @bornwisedistruction 12 років тому

    That depends, what components do you own that you could reuse in a new build such as HDD's an SSD maybe or a Power Supply some of these parts can be reused if they are in good enough shape

  • @233kosta

    Can do it on a Z68 as well. The Z68 was the 'future proof' option for Sandy, seeing as it was able to provide Ivy support from the start.

    Linus I need some help im kinda confused, im upgrading my cpu from a intel pentium g850 clocked at 2.9ghz which is good for gaming but im sceptical on bf4, This pentuim is a sandy bridge and suppourts my new MSI H61M-P31 (G3) Motherboard i want to get an i5 3570 ivy bridge. Can i go from sandy bridge to ivy bridge?? It also says that 'Ivybridge CPU's will work on H61/H67/P67 & Z68 Boards but a BIOS Update may be required for these Motherboards to support them' But do i have to do a BIOS update?

    What are your settings in BIOS? Have you changed any voltages, cpu and ram timings? Check with CPU-Z and your bios and note down what the voltages coming out are, i would personally reset back to default settings if you have attempted to increase FBS and overall cpu frequency ratio. It could well be your motherboard also, does it support your other hardware especially if your using SSD and try some other RAM too, I guess your using DIMM not SIMM. You should update your motherboard & cpu firmware

    Love your channel and reviews, it's the best of it's kind on YT. With that said, I think i'm going to stick with Sandy for a bit longer b/c it OC's like a beast on air and I don't really feel like switching to liquid anything just yet.

    Got a question loosely based on this. Brought a sabertooth z77 and a 3770 cpu with 16gb of ram and a 60gb ssd for the purposes of using as a caching drive, i'm being led to believe through alot of problems im having trying to install the intel rapid start, rapid response and rapid storage technology that there's a upper limit of 8gb of system memory to work, any tech tips on fixing this without downgrading?

    while the newer generation is 1166 lga? and dual channel memory type ?
