replaced cable just over a year ago; and it snapped at the loop due to rusting. Have to replace that brand new cable with another one. My concern is that the same thing is likely to occur a year from now (loop breaking due to rust). Suggestions anyone? Spray the loop with WD-40?
Rarely if all have seen that happen in 15+ years even near the ocean. Possibly poor quality cable or it’s reacting with the connection on the door. Pack a little grease all around it that will make a solid barrier for a very long time
Means door is crooked or possible that cable is fraying. Cheat way is to close the door and very slowly back off the tight one until wheel moves a few mm, lock back screws and check again. Or pop a little extra tension on.
Mate at least advise people on how to be careful with the Torsion springs.. You half informative video will get someone hurt really bad.. Please don't follow the video & don't try to place the cables yourself... Call a professional.
Just replaced mine didn’t even bother with the spring tension I felt without knowledge that ish would smack me right in the face if I turned the wrong bolt.
Why is there so much light shining through thanks when the doors down
I'm really glad you mentioned to check the cables with the door in the open position, most of these how-to videos don't point that out
Thanks man ! Very important to ensure your spring tension is just right
Left a lot out. Hope ER is nearby.
PARK YOUR SPRINGS before you mess with any of those drum set screws.
How do you make the cables tight when the door is open?
How can I fix if the cables are getting loose and out of the spool when the door is almost all the way up?
More tension on the springs probably🤔

Maybe a silicone spray? Wd40 will dry out I think

Slower video please 😩
Sorry wasn’t planning a video but I’ll try do a proper tutorial soon.
I’m not. Understanding when after you fixed the cables , why would you take the tension off the springs? You lost me there completely.
Tension off before fixing cables 😁
What do you do when you finish and you check the cables in a open position and one of them is loose?

@@NatesToolbox put extra tension on the spring or pull the drum tighter to put more tension?
@@NatesToolbox could you possibly do a video on it please? Like a quick one

Luckily it’s not a tutorial video just a short clip on “the rough process” on replacement but I appreciate the feedback 👌🏻
What exactly are doing with "release the spring tension" part?

Good choice 👍🏻
Can you make a slower tutorial
