Through the eyes of our protagonist, a young man struggling to come to terms with his own experiences, we see the impact that assault can have on a person's life, relationships, and sense of self. From feelings of shame and guilt to the struggle to find support, this film offers an intimate and honest portrayal of a topic that is often swept under the rug. Can I say this has impacted me In a confusing way, I don’t understand why guys have to deal with this. And people think it’s not true or people are over exaggerating. I feel for every guy who goes through this sexual trauma.

Good job Mark. Men need to talk about their trauma and get the professional help they need.

“I’ve got nothing to apologize for “. Typical perpetrator words. My perpetrator never said he was sorry for what he did to me.
I never told anyone for around 50 years. I finally worked up the confidence, courage if you will, to begin therapy.
It was immensely helpful and rewarding to finally speak of the unspeakable with someone who could help me walk through it and untangle what was done.
The turmoil the young man experienced in attempting to put into words was so intense.

Your defenately not alone there mate. Doesn't make it any easier though. Therapy is great to help people heal. I have had lots of therapy over the years myself.

@@scottyh8494 No, it doesn’t make it any easier, yet there is some solace in knowing we’re not alone in this.

Well done. Very well done. There's no such thing as a "typical" or "textbook" example of sexual assault, but it's often NOT some stereotype of one guy getting rowdy. Manipulation is very much a thing. This is well done.

THIS MADE ME CRY, FOR DECADES I ALWAYS SAID THAT IF I WAS IN THE FIELD OF SOCIAL WORK, I WOULD WANT TO WORK WITH ABUSED MEN, I HAVE ALWAYS FELT THAT MEN NEED PEOPLE THERE FOR THEM TOO TO HELP THEM THROUGH PHYSICAL AND SEXUAL ABUSE, YOU DONT HAVE ENOUGH PEOPLE ON YOUR SIDE, YOU NEED LEGAL AND EMOTIONAL HELP JUST AS MUCH AS US WOMEN. YOU MEN CAN BE THE VICTIMS AS WELL AS WOMEN CAN BE THE VICTIMIZERS, MEN VICTIMIZE WOMEN, WOMEN VICTIMIZE MEN, MEN VICTIMIZE EACHOTHER AND WOMEN CAN ALSO VICTIMIZE EACHOTHER, SOCIETY NEEDS TO STOP ASSOCIATING GENDER TO THE VICTIM AND VICTIMIZER ROLES OF ABUSE

The acting is outstanding! I'm afraid I"m a bit confused though. What exactly happened between the 2 men? And please, no smart ass comments. I am quite good at understanding most films, just this one has me puzzled.

Not all sex trauma involves touching. It's complicated. And maybe there was touching, but part of what is being explored is how they are avoiding talking about certain details. Denial.
