Rikky Ruiz Well thankfully rape is more serious with the law now, and usually the victim is believed by the police. I don't know the statistics on disbelief in men versus women, but I can definitely see men being believed less often being true. Rape isn't just a women issue, its a human issue.

It's because of the amount of falsified reports. It's assumed men rape ONLY nowadays and a recent survey of woman who "claimed" they were raped, 45% of woman said they falsely accused a man of rape because of shame, regret, or other things. They ask those questions to get a bigger picture, same goes for men who were raped (and yes this does happen and I can prove it with police reports so don't bother) they're asked "Were you drunk?", "What were you wearing?", "Was your shirt off?", etc. Based on awnsers they will investigate it before arresting them. this goes for both men and woman.
