I always like to fill the oil rails before trying to start it to help it build pressure faster and to take strain off the LPOP. Congrats on the new addition to the fam! A new 7.3 fan from birth!
Long handle flex head ratchet by Matco, snapon, gearwrench, even harbor freight has them now. Looks like a breaker bar with a ratcheting head. No firewall hole required. Sick bucket placement tho.
@@too-stoked-about-2-strokes I'm going to give this a shot. I have a leaky oil rail end plug passenger side. Going on a cross country trip and want it buttoned up. Was finally succumbing to drilling into my fire wall but will try this first!
Hey love your channel I live fl and I’m looking for a nice 7.3 excursion I figured I’d throw it out there being that you guys travel all over you might know someone thank you. Keep up the good content yeah
As do I, I tried multiple times with 1/2” drive flex head snap on ratchet and just couldn’t get the angle. Not worth getting hurt or breaking something.
My truck isn’t firing on the left hand (if your standing in front of the truck ) back and sometimes one injectors would this be a cause because it’s leaking oil bad somewhere just can’t figure out where
Thank you good tip I'll have to keep an eye on that to see if mine is not leaking yet but I'll have to keep an eye on that now I know a shortcut to get that out thank you very much that is good thought a good good tip
My 7.3 OBS leaks 3-5 quarts every couple of weeks, how can you tell if that’s the problem? It’s got 300k miles but runs fantastic other than oil leaks.
Best way to tell it to stick your phone in the back of the engine while it’s cold to see if it’s leaking down. It can mimic a rear main seal or a turbo o-ring leak. Tends to leak more when it’s warm too.

1/2” flex head ratchet is all you need. No drilling
Couldn’t get the long handle under the firewall and didn’t have the leverage to use a small ratchet or a wrench.
@@The73Garage flex head I meant. That’s what I used on mine

Brilliant idea to use the panel punch to make the hole. Clean and easy to plug!
Pops coming in clutch with the fancy tools
CP Addicts is such hilarious name for a business.😂😂😂

Congratulations on the kid 👏 Great video!
Congrats on the baby dude!
i like this method better than flex head ratchet method. seems like much less chance of something going wrong with the difficult angle. thanks

I see a guy using a gear wrench serpentine belt removal tool. Nice and narrow.
The orange boot of death needs to go on that intake also 😂
Glad the baby was with your actual wife. Good job.
How do you remove the oil pan on that year, is no videos on youtube for that particular year, and i am tryng to temove mine and can't take it off
The only way to remove the oil pan unfortunately is by taking the engine out, there’s no way around it.

Where is the best place to sell a 2002 7.3?
Man I have a massive oil leak on the front of mine its pouring it out about as fast as I put oil in ?
Prob oil pan or front crank seal
Where you at I need you to fix my truck
How’s your Moroso pan gasket? Is it still good?
Still holding up well!
Where did the blue intercooler pipe set up come from?
It’s a Banks intercooler system that was powder coated!
A small piece of hardened key stock and and an open ended wrench could’ve got that butt plug out
Oh yeah
is there a name for these
plugs?
Ford calls them “oil rail end plugs”
Riff Raff diesel sells them!
Let’s just put a hole through the fire wall 👌🏼
Doubles as a spot for heat to come into the cab during the winter👌🏼
I just removed the wiper motor and uses a flex head ratchet lol
Tried a 1/2” drive swivel head long ratchet and had no luck.
What the hell happened to this guy? His videos were great!
Should be back next month!!
What a shame man😂😂
