Your Billy Pullover is amazing !!! You do such beautiful work!!! I’m not sure what you’re more talented in, knitting or painting. I love your watercolors, one is better than the next, even though you are not quite happy with them. Thank you so much for taking us with you to Italy, that was a very special surprise. Looking forward to your next video.
Thank you so much! I am glad that video wasn’t a complete failure 😂 I found myself not able to put together two words that made sense!! Ahahah anyhow, thanks for the kind words on the painting part. Much appreciated
This was a superb vlog Sam. Just loved the different take on showing us your knitting, holiday piccies and reading. More like this please. Very good luck in the portrait competition. Do let us know how you get on. Fabulous for you. 👍
So pleased to see your new video Sam, settled down with a coffee and enjoyed every minute! Love the pictures from Italy, definitely like to see more of that. Also loving the books review and other interests. As well of course the knitting. Hopefully the dentist appointment won't be painful, in the mouth or wallet! Have a wonderful weekend ❤
Hi Sam, I did indeed like the format of this video and all of the subjects you filmed were very interesting. I loved the burgundy colour of your Billy pullover and plan to knit myself something for the winter in that colour too. I do not have a television in my house as I find most of what is broadcast contrived and banal. I much prefer to watch Utube while I am knitting or to sew and read books with the rest of my indoor leisure time. I too mostly read fiction - life is too short to read books you do not enjoy, but I also read books on nature and travel. Your family live in a stunningly beautiful part of Italy and you must really look forward to your visits back home. Best wishes for your channel 😊
Thanks so so much! The Billy pullover is a must do! So easy and intuitive as a pattern, and yet a stunning finished work! I will never get tired of that 😝
Sam, I enjoyed this podcast....the knitting, the mountains, and the books. I smiled when you said you heard that life is too short to read fiction. I heard a different take: life is too short to keep reading a book you don't like! Also, I want to wish you luck with the portrait contest. If you make it to the finals, I'll be happy to vote for you.
Sam, I always enjoy your knitting content but today’s extra bonus of your water color was great. Thanks for sharing. I think you are very modest in all your lovely talents.
OMG that red Billy was just a stunner!😍😍 also I cannot wait to start sweater no 23, I already have the yarn lined up. So many beautiful projects Sam, good job!❤
Grazie!!!!! Looking forward to seeing your plans for the sweater n 29!!!! The pattern is so handsome 😅 hope you re keeping up well with the heat! Was back home last week and it was absolutely roasting! How Italians can knit in the summer is still a mystery to me ❤️
Sam I loved seeing your paintings! I’ve seen some of them in your short videos. I love watercolour and Iam slowly learning how to use them. I really enjoyed the footage from your trip to Italy! It was interesting to hear about what you’ve been reading. It’s very enjoyable always to see what you’re knitting ! Thank you so much for sharing more of your interests and artwork with us as well as videos of your travels. God bless you. I really enjoy your podcasts! Live, Katie from Maine USA.🩷🌹🧶
Your Billy Pullover is gorgeous. That deep burgundy is a spectacular color. Great to hear about your projects, as always. Great to see the scenes from where you live in the Dolomites. I had saved an episode where you showed views of the Dolomite Alps in winter and snow, but now I can't find it. I'm a winter person and suffer in the heat of summer. I look at photos of winter scenes, videos of falling snow, Nutcracker ballets and even listen to Christmas music. Anything just to feel cooler. If it isn't difficult, could you tell me the episode number that has vistas of the snow in the Dolomite mountains? Best wishes for more July!
Well…I definitely agree with that! Luckily here in Ireland we haven’t seen a proper summer this year. Sorry about that but I seem not able to find the video 😅 it definitely should be a January episode though
Hi Sam, are you doing the cardigan top down? If you are, do the zipper fold over collar method with the provisional cast-on from the zipper sweater? Cant find in English version of Gino Done book. A wool related book is Vanishing fleece by Clara Parkes. The Middle Ages would have been a very tough life, especially if you were poor. Love dabbling in watercolours. And especially love your Italian house villa drawings.
Hi Sam! We just got WiFi back after almost 3 months without, and though I was able to watch your last episode, I couldn't comment ( my UA-cam app is weird like that sometimes.) SO I'm commenting on this episode even before watching it, because the app is letting me do so 😂 But I know I will enjoy the episode, and I wanted to say hi while I can 🤗🤗🤗
You really went the extra mile with that footage of the Dolomites! Im stunned 🤩
Glad you liked it!

That Burgundy Billy is amazing. I might need to do that color for my next cable sweater?
It’s a lovely lovely colour! And I am not one to look for warm colours generally
You are a very good artist!
