OK, I'm only 10 seconds in but had to comment. That sweater on you is absolute perfection! This could not have been a more perfect fit around the shoulders and neck. Definitely one to save the measurements and create other patterns from it. And the color is gorgeous!🔥🥰
Oh thanks so much! Definitely a “must-re-knit” one! It’s so so beautiful! I would like to try with a different yarn and color tho
이미 그림이 귀여운데 채색까지.. 좋네요.
Thank you
Your sweater is absolutely amazing - the fit is PERFECT. I really appreciate hearing your thoughts on the Drops Daisy. I'm curious about it. And HOLY SMOKES I am so excited when I hear that the Hiya Hiya Grandma's bind off is making other knitters lives easier! I actually look forward to binding off now! One thing I will have to mention on an episode is that I tried it for a cuff on a toe up sock and it was too snug :( You won the creative lottery Sam! So talented your illustrating is incredible.
That bind off 😱 easily my favourite pattern! When I heard you mentioning it, it was like a revelation! The tutorial you linked suggests to use a smaller needle size to keep it well tidy, I wonder if using the same needle or a larger one may be helpful in terms of elasticity….
He’s living on the edge? Bring him back for Christmas Sam!
❤️
Oh my goodness, Sam- your bear!!!! I had to pause watching to say how wonderful it is 😃🧡🧡🧡
😊 thank you!!! Hope you are doing well!!!!! Big hug
Thank you Sam!
My pleasure!
So many great things in this episode! I loved your bear illustrations, the book recommendations, and the beekeeping segment. I’ve always wanted to take up beekeeping.
Thanks so much!!!! Love the book recommendations! I ll have a look at my bookstore…hopefully I ll find a couple
HEY kislux !! I have been watching you for years and im so proud of where you have made it! I love you so much! Also thanks for making my day <3
We want more painting. I'm a machine knitter, draw, and would like to learn watercolour paint.
Aw thanks so much!!!!
Your cabled pullover is beautiful all by itself and even better on you! I’m hoping that someone will take you up on your wish to teach and /or showcase your art. I love both your watercolors as well as your ink drawings. I love to read historical novels as well and here are the ones that I’ve read in the last few years and have really stuck with me. The Weight of Ink by Rachel Kadish (a discovery of a document from the 1600’s leads to an investigation that travels the globe). Anything by Amor Towles. My favorite is A Gentleman from Moscow, but I’ve read all of his books and each one is a gem. Happy Reading!
Oh thanks so much!!!! I am going to check if I can find anything by Towles! Sounds super interesting
Poor grumpy bear! Has he got a name? If not, your subscribers may have suggestions!
We definitely should leave it to the people!!!
Nice sir 😊
Nice sir 👍
So nice
So cute 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
You will most assuredly get a publishing offer; it’s only a matter of time. Just a thought … your bear looks like a philosopher … and a reader. He can critique life and love and professions and books. And maybe bees.🐝
Ahahah dreams! I keep hoping
You are adorable. Thanks for making me giggle. 😉
You’re welcome 😊
Scandinavian and British Isles knitters historically used “wires” that were very long and heavy wire that would not bend to knit all of their large garments.
Oh that’s very interesting

No need to suffer with back pain. This mudra (hand yoga) is excellent. Can even correct serious back problems. In my circumstances I do daily and have no problems. For others it may only be necessary here and there. Many mudras for all sorts of health issues. ❤ Thank you so much for this lovely podcast. ua-cam.com/video/9JZe6EW5Qpw/v-deo.htmlsi=r90JEzRPy2EqxHtk
Thanks so much! Defo going to try
Very cute
Thanks so much
Same, Baby Merino superwash wool from Drops completely loses the shape after washing 😮 It so annoying
So annoying! It is such a lovely wool…but it’s absolutely useless
A great episode Sam. Love the sweater your wearing. So happy you were able to get all that amazing yarn and dpn's through the airport. Your bear is SO cute
Oh thank you!
I have a leggings started , one leg is done ,; that color however my yarn on order is out , and my grandchild a son asked , I think he wants my leggings , I have to cause me to nice be yeah adorable but ok thanks to yer cast, I don't dispare, not real good at spelling , part of my brain thinks and heals in Irish old old Irish! Ok not saying more .
Thanks so much for your lovely message! Haven’t tried knitting leggings yet, that must be a looooot of knitting
Thank you for sharing your art! I really enjoyed seeing what you came up with for InkTober! Your illustrations are beautiful!
You are so welcome!
"Ooh, male knitter! Awesome let me check out this video (I love seeing different perspective and styles)... Wait, didn't it say Irish? This dude sounds Italian (one of my bestie in elementary school was Italian)... Ah, I was right!!" <-Thought process as I'm watching your vid on TV. Ok back to watching the rest of the video 😂
Ahahah thank you!!!! Your comment was a big injection of happiness!!!! Yeah Italian 🇮🇹 adopted Irish ☘️ male knitter 🙌🏻
I love your sweater! I love your bear art! I love that your family has gotten back into beekeeping. Thankyou for showing the hives. I imagined your bear being like Winnie the Poo and stealing some honeycomb from your family hives. 😁 I love your reading experiences. I appreciate a series where you find yourself wanting to immediately open the next book and read more. I also appreciate a book that leaves you pondering for a few days before wanting to read something new. Thank you.
Awww thanks so so much
Lovely espisode, very enjoyable.
Thank you
Love your new sweater!
Thanks so much
Your bear illustrations are so beautiful Sam.... like they just came out a children's story book. ❤
😊 thank you
Welcome back!! Great video! I love seeing all of your projects and travels. I was once a beekeeper as well, so, I have some appreciation for what is involved with doing that. Unfortunately I had to quit b/c I became allergic to bee stings. As for good books, I highly recommend “At Swim, Two Boys” by Jamie O’Neal. It is a historical novel which takes place in Dublin area early 20th century. Good reading to you!!!
Awww sorry to hear that! Thanks so much for the recommendation!!!
Fantastic episode, that colour of sweater really suits you. For an interesting historical novel, I would recommend “The crimson petal and the white” by Michael Faber or the labyrinth series by Kate Mosse. If you want a book that sticks with you, similarly to Young Mongo, perhaps “a little life” by Hanya Yanagihara but really proceed carefully with that book because it is quite upsetting! Those bear illustrations are a truly fantastic way of fulfilling the prompts for inktober
Thanks a million
You finished a cable jumper! Congrats. In terms of test knitting... You should reply to either the group you are in, or the way that she gave you the pattern. If it is a question that is stopping you from going on, do it now. If it's just notes, I say do it at the end. I'm sure she will ask for feedback. I'm not sure what she will ask for, but it's always super helpful to let her know yardage, fit, any issues you saw with the pattern, or if you changed anything. I'd suggest asking before changing anything with the pattern other than sleeve or body length. Some designers are cool with it, others, not so much. You can also feel free to to send me that kilo of black yarn 🖤
Enjoy your podcast and sorry you’re having back pain. I can relate. Your cable sweater is lovely.I found your background music a little distracting while trying to listen to you talking
Thank you so much! And for the feedback too! I ll lower the volume going forward
This is amazing! 😻
This is so cute!
HEY kislux !! I have been watching you for years and im so proud of where you have made it! I love you so much! Also thanks for making my day <3
you’re literally my comfort person i love you kislux !
Watching for the aerora boreallis?
Ohhh was so bright a few nights ago🥺
I bought a bottle of this cost me $78 it separated into a light colour waxy substance with a darker gel could not get it to mix again very sticky gluey substance how can I resurrect it
Aw wow that’s a lot of money! It is about 7€ over here…I would recommend shaking it well before using and taking care of sealing the bottle at every use…it activates with air in a matter of half an hour
Nice sir 😊
Thanks and welcome
Nice sir 👍
I love your flower painting! I just got myself the earthy palette and I really like it. Noticing that you recorded this video a year ago, did you get any information of the lightfastness of them? And what fixative are you using? Many thanks for the review 😍⭐️
Hi! Thanks so much for your message! In terms of lightfastness I would say it is very good. I have not seen any discolouration a year on. Although I could not confirm that from Viarco itself. I will update you as times go 😅 the fixative I have been using is a spray bottle from Windsor and Newton called ‘profess colourless fixative for pastels’…there should be one for watercolor too, though this provides a neutral finish that I much enjoy
🍯🧸 so sweet!
You are so kind
Cute bear
😛
I love it!
Thank you 😂
Dying a sweater is easy. I use the kitchen sink. Practice with something less precious to get the confidence . You can overdye that green oche colour with burgundy , brow n , petrol , green or black
Thanks so much
Beautiful sir
So nice of you
Nice sir 👍
Thanks and welcome
