Dear Paul Del Bello, this is a request; Can you do a bass habits video on Francis Buchholz of the Scorpions?
Hamilton is definitely a killer bassist, Sweet Emotion is one of my favourite bass riffs and it’s just so iconic. Would still love to see one of these for Roger Waters, Paul McCartney or maybe guys like Les Claypool or Sting
He’s done one one sting. Episode 15 I believe
Tom Hamilton... A very underrated bass player . Good analysis
They sound fresh even after almost 50 years. Tom Hamilton definitely is a beast with this rock-soul-jazz style. I hear a lot of things when he plays
I count Aerosmith as one of the great 70s hard rock bands. I discovered Aerosmith as a 13 year old in 1975...'Toys in the Attic' and by then they had already released their self titled debut in 1973 and 'Get Your Wings' in 1974. I stopped listening to them after 'Rocks' which is an underrated album and my favorite. The bass on 'Back in the Saddle' knocked me out!
I rediscovered them like 10 years ago and realized that they are still a dirty hard rocking band with a great bass player. Legends!
Aerosmith is a great band and this was a great choice for a video
Do Andy Rourke of The Smiths, the guy hits like a train
I defenetly second that. He's one of the reasons why I love The Smiths.
Yes!!!
Or a Double Decker bus!
I love Hamilton, really tasty basslines.
Spot on video, dude. Thanks for putting it together. I'm 57 and been an Aerosmith super fan since I'm 11 years old. Started playing bass in a band in 7th grade. When Aerosmith put the current tour on hold I got together with some of my musician buddies who are also Aerosmith freaks and we put together an Aerosmith cover band. Always loved playing those Tom Hamilton bass lines!!!
Hi Paul, i love your videos, and i was asking if you could make a bass habits video about frank bello from Anthrax, keep it up, you rock
Oh Hell Yeah!🤘🤘 I've been saying this for along time Tom Hamilton is awesome Bass player man when start learning to play bass I would listen Black Sabbath, Cream, LED ZEPPELIN and Aerosmith among others Hamilton bass sound and basslines always stuck out and cut through in their music And I agree with you Nine lives is one their best albums not bad song on it
You are making me love all of these bassist on this series. Once again im requesting Mike Mills video. He needs more recognition!
I second that!
Hey Paul, love the videos, you’ve helped me take my bass lines to new heights. But pleaaaase do mike Starr from Alice In Chains he’s one of my favorites
LOVE Nine Live!! Ain’t That a Bitch, The Farm, Full Circle, etc… !!!
You describe well his playing. On their debut his work is outstanding, linking the drumming with the guitars in an almost perfect way.
So many killer Aerosmith bass lines.
How about Rudy Sarzo?
Awesome video! You really dug into Tom's repertoire, rather than just talking about Sweet Emotion!
I've noticed a lot of the things you pointed out on Nine Lives, but never realized just how many great bass moments that album has in total!
love these man, I hope they never stop, a lot of these guys I never knew or didn't appreciate as much until now
Check out the killer bass on two lesser known songs, The Hand That Feeds and Kings and Queens. Both off Draw the Line album.
Loved the video!! I remember commenting a while back on a video asking if you could address the 70’s style chunkin chugging sound. You’ve put out a couple that have, and I really appreciate that! You’re doing a bang up job! Keep up the good work! Thanks!
Great Work here on #TomHamilton #aerosmith bass extraordinaire!!!
Hi Paul, I love your channel. Great content & you really do your research. Keep up the great work for us Bass players. Stay safe and well and keep Rocking. Signed John Zepbass from Munster Indiana. U.S.A.

Most of the songs here were 80’s and 90’s Aerosmith, he may not be all that familiar with 70’s songs.
