I hope he never got fed up playing this. I hope he knew how much it meant to so many of us. My dad introduced me to his music 20 or so years ago, and just today, my 5 year old daughter came and asked "Daddy can we listen to the smile song?" I don't know if she likes it all that much, but she seems to love the impact it has on me. We sing and dance and smile.
Cracking band, seen Steve Harley live acustic and with Cockney Rebel on two occasions, Great stuff, Good as ever.Good music always stands the test of time
He was indeed a really good bloke, and so passionate about his music, his fans and the loyal musicians that stayed with him. I saw them many times in concert from 1973.
Steve is much older than when this great song was recorded, but I am pleasantly surprised, as he still sounds good and the band are in top form. I bought this record when it was released and it still sounds great today and I won't ever tire of hearing it. BTW Steve is looking good!
@@HTJB60 wow! How old is that LP, must be mid seventies. Mr Soft was a great song. This is why we have to live our best every day, as we never know when it could be our last. Steve looked so fit and well, which goes to show you never know what is going on inside. Take care, my friend and enjoy listening to all those greats. We use to have a shop in Watford called Retro and I used to spend hours in in there going through all the old LPs and singles, reading all the sleeves. The guy worked there on his own and he used to say, he would give me a job one of these days, but he never did.
Beautiful listening 🎧❤ Just a master piece classic music Well done Steve ❤ Just keep smiling You deserve it ❤ Just take one hit Steve you have done it ❤ Global world 🌎 hit My time 1950/60 Great happiness Great artist Great England ❤ Back then

A real loss, as well as his talent he came across as a really good bloke. Excellent edit btw

Met him once. Such a horrible creature that I hope I never meet him again.
He is arrogant I have heard here in Sudbury. Robbie Gladwell was nice when I met him
