I have to rewatch to see if it holds up for me because it's been around 10 years since I've seen this anime, but I remember Sabagebu Survival Game Club made me laugh a lot. I've seen some of Nichijou some time ago that made me laugh- like clips on Tumblr but I haven't checked out the anime yet
Honestly i hope you just take that video just as that guy's opinion bcs it's not that way for the majority. I agree with some things but you were almost convinced to think that Gintama for example Just gets good with 100+ episodes and that's just his opinion. For me it was already funny from episode 4 (the second episode from the anime since 1 and 2 are filler), i remember loads of episodes to heart, the cockroaches episode that he mentioned for example was the second half (part B) from episode 29. Honestly is better to see for yourself, those videos sometimes make you or either have high expectations right at the beggining or literally never give a chance to it. And about Shinpachi's character, also his personal opinion, Shinpachi yelling is actually the good thing about him, that's what even gave his seiyuu the role, i find his comment hilarious honestly, and no, Shinpachi doesn't "explains the jokes" he actually adds to it
Bro there's an EXTREMELY UNDERRATED Anime that's actually hilarious. It's one of my Top 3 favorite comedy Anime's. It's called "Good Luck Girl". Shit had me DYING. And they have A LOT of references too. Trust me you won't regret it.

It's not that long and it sadly only has one season but man I loved it. It's called Back Street Girls and I wished they had another season it was funny af watching it

I feel like this dude would actually like Bobobo. Lucky Star is something I didn't expect to find funny but, the dub was genuinely funny. As for One Piece, I find it funny but, it's also got a lot of stupid tropes that go on for too long. Air Gears dub is another example of peak comedy. It did have a ton of stupid tropes though. I'm surprised the dude didn't mention the Golden Boy dub.
