Hey Guys thank you for this very informational video. we do appreciate the work you do. I am mexican Born living in the USA for over 30 years but love Cancun. and Tulum. I am so happy United airlines has a direct flight from Chicago and it sounds like once Mexicana de Aviacion gets its new Embraer it will re- take the Chicago route. It would be great if you guys have a chance to make a video of the Jaguar park.
Tulum sounds amazing, been looking for some place away from the tourist trap of Cancun on the Gulf side of Mexico. Questions: are there any clothing optional beaches around Tulum? How easy is it for a non Spanish speaker to get around?
Thank you!! Tulum beach used to be totally clothing optional but not anymore. There’s one beach at the far south end of Playa del Carmen that we go to. There’s also Intima, Loba Tulum, and our Airbnb which are clothing optional resorts! Safe travels! ✈️
Hi! Thank you so much for this video! I just wanted to confirm that there's no immigration form or FMM to fill out for traveling there? I have a trip booked in November and wasn't sure if I needed to fill anything out before I go
Nope! No FMM in Cancun or Tulum airports at least for as long as we can remember! But anything can change in Mexico. Puerto Vallarta started using them again on our last visit, and they were in the pilot to get rid of them 🤯 🤷♂️ 🇲🇽 ❤️
Our pleasure. And it depends on the insurance you purchase typically. But it’s typically a large hold in Mexico in the many thousands of pesos if you decline the highest insurance option.
Tulum is so much better than Cancun on this front. It seems all forms of transportation are clearly marked with prices. Just know you have to add Mexican minimum liability insurance and even primary car insurance offered by many US travel credit cards don’t cover this. So when the rate is too good to be true you can factor in another $15-20 or so for this per day. Not a scam but not a good feeling if you don’t know this ahead of time. This is also a fact for all of Mexico not just Cancun or Tulum. Hope that helps! Safe travels and have an awesome trip!
No, it’s straight through but you can wait in front of the Starbucks for them just after. It’s like 3-5 minutes from deplaning to Starbucks outside immigration!

I very much regret to see american food vendors taking over the food courts, I wished to see more authentic mayan/mexican food instead.
We totally agree and were shocked at the lack of Mexican options. Even Americans and Canadians love a good taco and margarita! Come on!!
