Helpful. Thank you. I took pics of the rental car when we picked it up in Edinburgh because I heard they were very stringent on tire damage. This hack saved us $800 when I could prove the damage existed on our pickup.
Yes!! So smart and definitely not something you want to learn the hard way! When you leave the facility, the person is like no worries, and then it’s a different person on return who may not be so care free!!! Once you have the video or photos, they back down! 🙌
I have viewed travel tips from various sites, and attend annual January travel show at Rosemont Convention Center, which by Chicago O'Hare Airport. Your tips are super great, and some are absolutely fantistic. Thank you.
Look into Amtrak travel routes, not only as a means to a destination, but a different kind of vacation. You don't have to drive long distances or put up with airplane weight and luggae restrictions as well as their extra fees. I live in Chicago, which is railroad world biggest hub and an Amtrak Vatican. You get to see the country from a different point of view. Best routs include Chicago to San Franciscon on the California Zephir, and Chicago to Los Angeles on the Texas Eagle or Southwest Chief--make a great loop travel CHI to LA on one, and return on the other. San Diego to Seattle is also great. Of course, you need to join Amtrak rewards program and maybe even get their credit card to get points faster. If you are young and shorter on cash, coach is super deal. I prefer sleeping roomettes, to get lounge access and gourmet meals. See UA-cam videos to learn more.
We completely agree!! Our first video for the channel was leaving Chicago to Portland on Amtrak!! We’ve also done a few others including the entire Pacific Coast from San Diego to Vancouver, Canada, which was amazing! 🤩 AMTRAK EMPIRE BUILDER - Chicago to Portland/Seattle in a Superliner Bedroom ua-cam.com/video/x2EJdFPLaEk/v-deo.html

As a Canadian we often get shafted.
At least for travel cards, it’s definitely less generous! 😔
