Do you by chance know how to tighten the cable on a 2017 equinox with a foot activated parking brake? Would the process be to tighten by the pedal somewhere? My pedal is nice and tight but my cable is hanging low outside the vehicle and I can drive with the parking brake on. Thanks in advance.
There should be a place along the cable somewhere that will allow adjustments. If you don’t find that area after following the cable then I would take the wheel off and check the brakes themselves. If your cable is hanging that loose then it’s possible your cable may have come disconnected somewhere. Trace the cable from the pedal all the way back and if nothing then look in the brake area.
